one of the cutest things in the world is a stretched long piggie and watching his little feet and butt walk away from you. Its the little butts in life that make things worth it xD I remember I had 2 boy guinea pigs and they loved those plastic cat balls that have the jingle ball in it, they would pick it up with their teeth and 'popcorn' toss the ball behind them and get super excited because it made noise hitting things. ONE TIME they tossed the ball back and forth like 3 times to eachother like they were playing catch! I wish I had that on video, but that was before cellphones had good cams in them. I miss them, but I cant have guinea pigs anymore so I love to see videos of Nails and P.I.G
The two of them being super cute for the camera! I love how PiggySmalls hair becomes spiky when wet. Then even funnier - how Nails becomes a round puff ball when dried!!
Scotty, this was extremely informative. Thank you for posting. It's good to know not every situation requires an expensive vet visit. Good quality care should be affordable. Personally I feel better when I can take care of a situation myself although there are times a veterinarian is the only best option. Thanks again. Your piggies are lucky to have you!

I was laughing so loud when Nails and Piggies Smalls kept jumping out of the lil bin when you were testing the water. Peace out, hooman! I am NOT having this! Just smiling ear to ear throughout this buddy bath. Never saw anything so adorable and sweet. I just love how you are so gentle with them! I love the idea of it being in the bathtub, as odds they can't get hurt trying to jump in and out. Just cuteness personified those two!

Don't be modest Scotty. People call me the guinea pig whisperer but you clearly you deserve the title. I watched those videos of Nails when he first showed up. He was in rough shape, he was so scared and I did not hold much hope he would fully recover. I am glad I was wrong. He is so fluffy now and cuddly now. Good job. Do not sell yourself short.
Hi Scotty, love all your piggies. #Lovem. When I bathe my piggies first I put water in the tub and then I put the piggies in the water. They've got sensitive ears, so everything what we here they here it twice as loud. :)
Those two are so funny 😄😂 I laughed so much at their antics and escape attempts lol Put your hair up and you won't get so wet next time, silly man 😋 lol I think I heard somewhere that having a weak immune system makes you more vulnerable to ringworm (but I could be remembering wrong). Since Nails was so sick as a baby, it could be he's more vulnerable to it, so that might be something to keep an eye out for.
Ringworm glows under a blacklight as well, so if you have a small UV flashlight (You can get one cheap from Walmart or on Amazon) you can use it to see the ringworm spots. Kitten Lady has a great video about treating ringworm in kittens that shows it.

I bathe my Piggie weekly I use baby shampoo n dollar tree dandruff shampoo it doesn't dry out his fur/skin n I've been doing it since he was a baby he's now 7 months he holds onto my hand as I wash him I luv it n so does he n he always smells soooo good! Luv ur videos Scotty!

I love this video. I learn new stuff about piggies all the time! I never knew you could just use over the counter fungal shampoo or cream! That's amazing. And I love the way you bathed them, I bathed my boys together a few times and I think it helped bond them ❤️
It may have been more efficient to bathe them separately, but this was much more fun to watch. Hey Scott, thanks for this great video! I'm not sure if you noticed in the moment, but the times that the boys seemed to be freaking out and trying to get away was when you were running the water. Maybe they don't like the sound of the water running. Otherwise they were pretty calm. They trust you so I think they may be afraid of the running water sound. Thanks for all you do! ~PL
Nails looks incredible! His hair is grown in and he gained weight! How did you get him so healthy? I tried desperately to fatten up one of my girls and I never could get her up to a better weight even with vet intervention. Nails looks so good!
I don't understand how piggies get ringworm I believe it happens wen their not kept clean shampoo n cage clean I clean my piggies cage corners where he goes daily my Piggie Reese is black n he looks like someone smeared peanut butter on Only one side n one ear peanut butter n one side and ear black he's gorgeous!
No they dont. They only swim if they have to. They feel like they are drowning. An occasional neccessary bath in shallow water is a completely different thing.🙂

Not sure myself it's dormant. It could be, as it's fungal based. Maybe treat yourself first, wash piggies with anti dandruff shampoo(or other reccomended things suggested here) then treat yourself again? Also, 1 piggy owner suggested here that regular baths for the pigs for 3 weeks should help it subside/get rid of it.

Hi there! Thank you for this, much needed right now! Do you do any special cleansing routine with their cage also? My boar has this now.
That's a very slow drain. Get some drainer cleaner and that orange drain decloger from 99c store. You probably have a lot of hair in there.

Quick, antidandruff might work for you both. It must be such an easy thing to catch, may you both recover fast!!
Otherwise, ask a doc or at a pharmasist. Hate itchyness
