I believe they still source some of their juice from MGP. And they have some of their own stuff in these as well. What percentage of each not sure but I’d say more MGP than their own.
High West used to source from MGP and Barton. Just like Redwood Empire, Smooth Ambler and Sagamore they've been switching to their own distillate. This one is probably a blend of their own stuff and MGP since MGP is often used in blends. We get a bunch of the High West regular line in CT. I have seen these Cask Strength bourbon before but not the blend like you have. I've never tried but will be on the lookout for this one should I ever see it.
Damnt Mike and Tom, you guys are forcing me to spend another $60 on a whiskey. We do get them im here in California but they are usually $60. I saw another TH-camr review this a while back. It looks like this is rye from mgp and bourbon from heaven hill. I dont think any of their own distilate is in the cask strength bottles.
On my list now. 👍🏼 happy holidays
@@berbeque you won’t be disappointed
Sounds like you need a backup bottle. I think it’s bourbon rye blend.
@@MaryS-go8dl that sounds like a good idea… lol

@@umami0247 on the bottle it only says bottles by high west…. Nothing about distilled…

@@GOTAisMe I will have to venture down to Ct and try another expression of this….
@@lesscashmoremash Just avoid the Campfire, which their attempt at a peated malt blend, and the Midwinter Nights Dram which is way way overpriced.
@ yeah I thought about the midwinters a while back….. but passed cause I wasn’t a fan of the price..
