Mr Savukku you are underestimating the role of document writers. They know all legalities of any documents or registration. They are permanently stationed there in a area. They know which is panchami land which natham promoboke etc. Registration opffcials get frequesntly trasferred where as these document writers are permanent asset in a registration area. In fact some drafting work of registration dept has been assigned to them. Coruption is entirely different issue. Regarding the IT unearthing some registration detials not sent to them for the values exceeding Rs 30 lakhs, the mistake lies with IT dept itself. They should have sent periodic reminders to the registrar, Head , IAS officer concerned and Chief Secretary. In that as pect they themselves failed and suddenly barging in the registration dept is only make the jon sensation. IT should also ask the registration dept about the transactions carried out without mentioning PAN No.
It is clear now. With in two days savakku will change focus ot another minister after settle with மூர்த்தி. Mark my words 😁😁

Frequently they revise but not mass. To generate revenue, Govt. will increase cost of land and revise the rate of stamp duty frequently. IT filing is done in once a year in reg dept. For your knowledge, for filing IT return SR is spending around 30000 to 50000 every year.

I also follow him since very long. He never said PTR is corrupt, Shankar only blamed PTR for stopping senior citizen's pension. His only blame that PTR is running the government like a corporate. He said government should not do profit and loss calculation while taking decisions for poor people.

EVERY one says as Subregistrar, actually it should be mentioned as Subregistrar of Assurances. During ,. East Indian Company first introduced this Registration Act not only for Income to the Govt but also to render service to the public by registering the immovable properties. So they called registering officers as subregistrar of assurances. Quasi judicial powers were given to them.
When I was joined as in this department in the year 1971, more than 75 percent of officers were purly honest people. The public gave very much respect to them.
After 1980, corruption started very little scale 10 rupees 20 rupees for registering a plot sale deed. After 1990, real estate business grew up. Simultaneously, corruption also grew well.
After 1990, only political interference for transfers of officers entered. Before that, only minimum corruption was in practice.

Digitisation and online process do not eliminate corruption as a whole unless the employees work in service mode with dedication. Even one fails so, the corruption will pop up there. If you apply for patta transfer via online, you will be called by revenue staff in person in the name of clarification where it leads to corruption.
