I know the popular thing to do at the moment is to pile on the management staff, and I don't want to do that as I truly hate moaning about the club - however I can't help but think the number of goals he scored last season would be double if we'd actually played to his strengths and not just launched 60 yard balls up to him whilst he's isolated for the rest of the team. People thought he was gonna bang in like 30 this seasons that’s why everyone thinks he not good,in my opinion he is underrated and will be a key player this season, and need to have faith in are players and manger.No point saying there not good !!!

PFC Blue army. I have faith in the players yes, but my faith in the manager I'm afraid is really running out. He's too stubborn as far as I'm concerned. John Marquis needs a strike partner up front and sticking him up there on his own and hoofing long balls up is doing us no good at all. Us Pompey fans can see where the problem lies and what we need to do to get better but the one important person who needs to see that is the manager and he's just not doing it. Maybe it's time to consider giving the job to someone else. Eddie Howe maybe. He could do a better job than KJ I reckon.
I don't think John Marquis is a bad player, he just hasn't had the right service. Play him in a 4-4-2 system with another striker up front, stop punting long hopeful balls up the field, play some decent attacking football and he'll be banging in the goals for us. It's not rocket science but KJ is so stubborn. He's been feeding off scraps at times in games so to say he's not good is a bit unfair. Let's just remember who scored the last gasp goal against Exeter that got us going back to Wembley. PUP! 🔵⚪🔵
