    Nice. I use expressions all the time, but didn't know about loopout() which I will use all the time now.
    This may be more advanced, but instead of entering numbers for some of the values in linear() you can use stuff like linear(time, 0, thisComp.duration, 0, thisComp.width) to work with any comp size or length.

    Wow this is some A+ stuff right there. Had no idea that just putting in time on a text layer would make that happen.

    Super clear and easy to follow. This made AE less daunting for me. I also appreciate the zoom feature. So many content creators don’t do that and things get blurry on mobile even with high resolution

    Thanks for the tutorial. How do you slow down the rotation speed at a certain point ? I tried with a slider control but it doesnt work.

    How would I loop "cycle" each individual light with their delay expression still applied? It seems that when I try to add a "LoopOut" expression to the layer, it ignores the "valueTime" expression already applied. (Video time: 17:30)
    Great tutorial btw!

    Hello there, thanks for the video! What if i want to make a character run for a while than stops, than run again, and i want to animate the run by using the loopout expression. So how would i do this? In a simple way: how do i stop an expression than turn it on again?

    • @HolmesMotion
      @HolmesMotion  ปีที่แล้ว

      In that situation I would create my loop cycle, pre-comp it, in the parent comp set the final frame to where I want the character to stop running, then Time -> Freeze At Last Frame. Dupe the precomp, and drag the dupe so it starts after the pause. Hope that helps, hard to explain via text!
