House was always in my periphery. I never really paid much attention to it, but he is hysterically funny. Witty, biting, sarcastic. I may have to binge watch it from S1E1.
After watching this excellent episode a few times (it's worth it!) I noticed the actor looks Chase up and down numerous times in numerous scenes, as though the actor had bothered to layer in some extra psychology: perhaps Nate is gay and mad about it, or maybe he's depicting something more pedestrian, like an intense adolescent concern about his and other men's appearance. But there is no question he keeps checking Chase out. So good for the actor, besides the hilarious line delivery he thought through what might be going on under the hood.
But if he was in pain with headaches, that in itself can make people into much bigger assholes. It makes people snappy and can cause fight or flight style aggression. I see House staggering around on an unstable leg. Does it ever occur to him to get his leg fixed or at least wear a knee brace? I've had broken knee cap and hyper-extended leg. You don't torture the injury the way Dr House does for long. The injury abuse causes joint swelling and inflammation, steadily freezing the muscles in place in order to heal itself. Pretty sure in that context there - House was kinda paying him a compliment with that, arguably one the highest he ever did to patients😅

I don't think I was ever rooting for House to fail a case more than this one. Props to the actor for being able to come off as super irritating.

because i think his bad leg has to do with a necrotic (dead or dying) muscle as the result of a blood clot not a knee injury. There is no fixing it.
He had a necrotic muscle tissue cut out, specifically his thigh muscle. It cannot be fixed and he is in chronic pain
He doesn't have anything broken. He's missing a large chunk of thigh muscle that necrotized.
