    I have this guitar. It's an LL16 but with transacoustic electronics added. Unplugged, it sounds just as good as other LL16s. I highly recommend this over the standard LL16.

    I recently bought LS-TA. I am very happy with sound that projects, (electronic off) it is more mid rangy guitar and it sounds fantastic. When you take this guitar in your hands you know it is guitar of high value, you feel it. Now other thing, It is great invention that reverb comes out of guitars body, but I just don't like reverb I hear sorry... It is ok for some usage, but I am little disappointed with it. All reverb goes to irritating highs sshhhhhha, no bass at all and that is a problem for me. I think I will go to take it all out and install the ToneWood amp (which is real thing ) once I get it. I think they rushed with presenting trans acoustic thing because reverb is just not quality that goes with quality of guitar itself.

    tested LL16 and LL TA and fgx830 LL TA is more interesting for live game, for friends scoring effects and good rich sound, although LL TA is all the same as LL16 only without effects and active pickup, but the sound LL16 for me is better richer, fuller, and inconnected version for me, too, LL 16 sounds better, but a little disgusting, and LLTA for me for some reason the upper frequencies for some reason not very clear, soapy, fgc830, timbre weak guitar, but in the connected state due to the equalizer or parametric middlesounds better to me than LL TA, LL 16 full sound, but more for blues style, folk, for rock music in the connected state fgx830 c is more controlled by the equalizer. if for sound recording through a microphone I would recommend LL 16 or LS 16, for playing at a concert fgx830 c is probably more practical

    Hi Jarvis
    I also am the owner of an LL-TA on which I also done the upgrades mentioned. Upgraded to bone saddle and TUSQ nut. Graphtec pins.
    This really changed the tone of the guitar in a great way, more pronounced and much better range of tone from low-end to highs. Also sustain improved. Great sounding acoustic guitar.
    However, unplugged the builtin effects for reverb is almost completely lost to me as player, not sure if this is partly due to the upgrades done to the guitar. The LS also seemed, to my ear, more pronounced with the reverb effects.
    Maybe volume levels are not aligned after upgrade since it is much louder and clearer?
    What was your experience?

    • @TheGuitarSpaSingapore
      @TheGuitarSpaSingapore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dusty Putter make sure your the saddle below is flat

    • @dustyputter8368
      @dustyputter8368 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheGuitarSpaSingapore Thank you for the advise, will check it out.
      My luthier used a perfectly flat plane, with sand paper appended to it to level the new bone saddle. Thus the bone saddle should be perfectly flat. Will probably need to see if the guitars bridge and piezo is perfectly flat 👍
      The weird thing is that the chorus seem to work fine. Just the reverb effect that is really low in volume. Compared to some videos it seemed like it should be very audible... Thus I thought by doing the upgrades resulting in an increased guitar volume; maybe it is overpowering the reverb effect in terms of volume.
      Once again thank you for the advise and not to take anything away from guitar... Great guitar🎸

    • @jurassicyard
      @jurassicyard 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dustyputter8368 I just got the LSTA and agree with your comment on the reverb. To me, it seems very subtle unless i strum the guitar and then mute the strings immediately with my hand in order to hear the reverb. To me, the chorus and reverb also seem to be louder on the two highest strings, so I'm not sure if its an EQ thing or what. I have an LLTA coming in the mail early next week (amazon prime so I can return the one I like less) and am curious to see if the reverb is different on that. How has your experience been with the guitar since? I'm worried my actuator isnt working at 100% power or something or if they just vary across individual instruments (or maybe even the mic positioning in videos vs sitting and playing the guitar yields way different listening experiences for the reverb).

    • @dustyputter8368
      @dustyputter8368 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jurassicyard Hi Chris
      I still love the guitar, I was not that impressed with it without doing the upgrades mentioned, just not bright or booming. After the upgrades, the guitar really sounds great. My luthier was also really impressed by it, said it sounded like and Taylor 6 series. I haven't played on one, so can't compare. But you have to replace bridge pins, saddle and nut. The pins was my last upgrade and I surprised by the impact, really brought out the treble nuances.
      I have to admit that I am not using the builtin effects. Nor did I pursue it much further, we went into lockdown for a couple of months over this period, due to the Corona pandemic.
      Lastly, I don't really like the neck... It is chunky... But that is my preference.
      I think bang for buck it is a great guitar. However, I did buy it secondhand and at a great price. If I had to buy new, and spend all the money on upgrades and then still not have the actuator working as expected... I would have gone a different guitar like the Taylor 4 series or solid Martin.
      Please do advise on how you are finding the other guitar... Maybe just isolated instances.

It show feedback problems and there is no backup or help available like the guitar has a circuit board in it how reliable is that , will that last years, and if it fails where do you get the replacement. I have a top range Yamaha ACOUSTIC guitar and I brought it to the Philippines 10 months ago with the heat the battery holder compartment terminals has deteriorated , but can I buy a replacement. no chance. Dealers say cannot get one , so I had to make a terminal myself which is no good if I ever wish to sell it . SO FOR ME UNLESS YOU CAN BUY SPARES AND HAVE A BACKUP THE GUITAR WORKING IS GREAT BUT THE FAULTY ONE IN THE VIDEO WAS NEW TOO SO GIVE IT A MISS

    I play Fingerstyle and i see many who plays fingerstyle choosed LS... but i kind of feel that LL TA's sound is more rich and more sustained compared to LS TA. Ls to me is abit sharp, prefer the warmer tone of LL :) Guess it's more on personal preference.

      well it all depends ...reason...the setup the strings and also the action...you will be surprised once the saddle upgrade are done...it like a built in =booster that amplifies the best tonal attributes of your guitar

      Eric Lafoudrenoire Thanks for the random comment!
      Psychologically, only someone miserable in life would care to write up such a weird comment. 😂 Who really has time in life to scroll through comments and write little tantrum responses? 😂😂 Small penis?

      No you can't - it's not just strap button, it doubles as the jack plug for playing plugged in so it's connected to the internal electronics and the battery pack!

      I've used three different straps on mine
      If you can't get a strap to work on a guitar you have bigger problems than a strap button lol

    these appear to be great guitars and I was just about ready to buy one till I saw the youtube video why not to buy one of these. It show feedback problems and there is no backup or help available like the guitar has a circuit board in it how reliable is that , will that last years, and if it fails where do you get the replacement. I have a top range Yamaha ACOUSTIC guitar and I brought it to the Philippines 10 months ago with the heat the battery holder compartment terminals has deteriorated , but can I buy a replacement. no chance.
