  • An original synth jam on the Moog Subsequent 37 (accompanied by the Strymon Timeline) utilizing its Duo Mode and Hard Sync. Used a Roland TR-8S for the drum parts, enjoy!

    I just found out by watching this video that this little synth is able to transpose a sequence on the fly by pressing a key, it is such a great option to have on a synth.⌚☕

      I found this to be the case on my voyager and grandmother as well. I believe what happens is any voltage sent to the pitch input (this might be done internally via the sequencer on this synth) is added on top of the base note. So effectively you should be able to transpose any sequence/arpeggio

      @@bendrrmusic I'm currently looking for a second hand, but the price is quite expensive (about 1200€ with a gigbag) compared with a new one (1500€).
      Also, I'm not sure if the difference really matters between the subsequent or the sub 37

    • @bendrrmusic
      @bendrrmusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Smartinet To my knowledge, the Subsequent37 has more headroom (meaning that you can play "louder" and not have to worry about transient peaks causing clipping distortion, and it usually also means a bigger, more open sound) than the Sub37, and I believe the Multidrive parameter can be pushed further on the Subsequent37. Hope this helps!

  • @bogdanosyka4591

    Cool man. How do you utilize the duo mode in this way. Is it so that you separate 2 separate midi tracks and one is controlled by the first voice and the second one by another?

    • @bendrrmusic
      @bendrrmusic  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey dude thanks for watching! So in this video I programmed the synth riff directly into the Moog, not through MIDI. In this video, when “duo mode” is turned off, it plays a certain riff because Both oscillators are being assigned to the same notes. However, once duo mode is turned on, the 2nd oscillator gets designated to the other notes that were being played when I initially programmed the sequence, but could not be heard because duo mode was not enabled at first. Hopefully this makes sense!

    • @jonathanpaulmartin8046
      @jonathanpaulmartin8046 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bendrrmusic Thanks for this explanation. I've not experimented with 'dual' sequences and I guess it opens up a lot of possibilities going in and out of duo mode to add movement to a sequence. I like to play with varying the keyboard tracking applied to the filter which can also add a lot of movement.

  • @baconbigbeats

    I had one but decided to return it because the menu and capabilities were too complex to me. Though this synth sounds great, I’m happy to stick w my Juno 106. For me, easier control means more expensive playing and things tend not sound repetitive that way. Nice demo. Sounds great.
