That's impressive. Mostly in case of EF-5 tornado will destroy anything of the house, to seek shelter underground is most safely.
🐨🤨The first thing to come to my mind is why isn't the interior padded?🧐🐨
😊I have the 40 in like a hot water tank. Just in case in my garage. Very happy with it.
Great idea for lobbying to get one for a community! Fantastic reporting.
why do these tornado shelters have to be so expensive. under $10,000 is a lot of money yet. i would still get one because its best to be prepared
I have doubts about this.
Now hear this. If there is a storm drain (man hole) near your house and most Nieghborhoods have them. Then that is your makeshift storm shelter. Nothing down there but some leaves and some footballs. If not take a chance in the trunk of your car.
Except for the large amount of water that will be coming in with the storm that makes the severe storm.
Extremely bad idea. You’ll drown. Manholes overfill during storms, you’re better off in a ditch
🤔Not sure about the trunk idea. Sounds like a death trap.
Yeah right! A 300 MPH tornado will blow that away to don't be fooled.
Not true. Several survived the Moore, Ok EF5.
@@williamabaker12 Not one of these did.
@@inthedarkwoods2022yes they did you are wrong stop spreading misinformation
@@williamabaker12 all of them did.only stories about when doors were not installed correct stuff happened
How much are they?
If you had to ask, you can't afford it.
Anywhere from 6-10K
@@inthedarkwoods2022 and you know this person's finances?
There is no "FEMA RATING" for shelters. FEMA doesn't rate them.
@@Splash2Pan Nope... I had a special contractor pour me a single pour above ground shelter with steel rebar. Much stronger than the garbage Atlas sales.
Compared to the price of a car, the price is incredibly cheap. Or, it's the price of a family of four having mobile phones. I'd rather skip an upgrade and have peace of mind.
Nice coffin ⚰️
What do you use? I would like to know what type shelter is best
