They're called 'lockers' and they are very trendy and make for great storage. Gorgeous home. Love the modern finishes with the beautiful exposed stone and ceilings. Very tastefully done.
OMG - This is one of the nicest houses that you've toured. Love the fusion of trad and modern. Everything is just right..... this has to sell soon, surely
This stoned stairs is a real great part of the architecture of the property giving it much value and higher esthetic level that enjoyable to see and I emagine to use. It's some special existence of an architectural piece that opens it's value in contact with it.
Gorgeous but I Love Love the homes with the old world ancient type charm; old thick dark wooden doors with hand made fixtures and so on. It's beautiful for sure.
I come to your listings to day dream. My great grandparents left southern Italy (1906ish) to come to Philadelphia of all places. After looking at these property’s, I’ll never understand why they didn’t go back.
Thank you so much for taking us on your tours much appreciated as I live next-door to the Antarctic. The place is close to perfect it simply needs to be lived in full time. I'm free however need the right currency printer double-sided.
pleasant enough ... there is a huge difference in your commentary when you are in a house with original tiles, door knobs etc ... ie Italy! and something that has been done in this way ... whilst you give a good commentary your passion and love for the building and "everything Italian" is missing.
Absolutely beautiful house, garden and visitor cottage, perfectly restored to make it comfortable and easy to live in and run but still with the classic Italian farmhouse feeling and detail, the best I have ever seen you show.. But you don't sound enthusiatic! Unlike when showing awful, ugly, delapidated near ruins Perhaps you think that this property will sell itself, and the others need a lot of "pushing". Thank you for this tour, if I had the money I would buy it like a shot!.
Love the house. I mean... who wouldn't? Also loved the repurposed lockers, although I think I'd have some built in cupboards - at least in the main bedroom. One thing I have noticed watching your videos is how many of these expensive bathroom renovations don't have a vanity mirror above the sink. Maybe it's a "girl" thing, but I keep wondering where the women store and do their makeup. Not a criticism by any means... just an observation from a female perspective.
Thank you, nace job. Good property, but if I compare with others that you show, this one do not have character. Of course is my taste, not other people taste.
Geez, Mr. Nick--this house is the best one you've ever shown by far (IMHO). Love the fact that there is a ceiling fan in the living room. And the sunroom alone is worth the price of the whole house. Quick question--with the house being so remote, how long does it take for the local fire department to get there in case of an emergency??nBack in the States, we would call those metal storage units 'gym lockers'. They are utilitarian but not sure I'd keep them in the house--perhaps repurpose them for the pool shed. Actually a bit surprised that the showers are not tiled and seem to be Corian or something similar. I do love the shape of the sinks, though!! I assume all these remote homes are on proprietary wells and not 'city main'? Is it expensive to have a well re-dug if it ever ran dry? That guest house conservatory could easily work for a quilting studio; though with the stunning view, I'm not sure how much sewing I'd get done. I'd be staring outside all day long... good glory Mr. Nick; I can't believe this house hasn't been snapped up already. Absolutely THE BEST one you have shown thus far. Just as soon as I win the Powerball, I'm there with pen in hand for the mortgage papers. I don't suppose I could get by on my charm and personality though, eh???
Hi Mary, Thank you for your comments. Almost all these houses are built in stone, tiles and concrete. Apart from the beams there's not much to burn. Big fires are very rare. I expect it would take time for the fire brigade to arrive. I've never seen a house burnt down. FYI: A Well costs roughly €80 per meter plus TAX. So 100m would be approximately €12,200. My well is 90m and has never run out. Hope this helps. Thank you for you comments, most appreciated. Nick.
Nick, are most of the properties in Umbria vacation houses? It seems every property you tour are houses that people only use during summer months. Is that a common thing for people to not live full time in the countryside there? Great property, not for me though. I like more traditional details.
Hi Kirk, Yes, a lot of our listings are holiday and/or rental properties. We do have expats who live here full time and we do sell properties owned by Italians.
There’s a tax issue if the occupier stays there for more than a certain period. I think it’s a 183 days in a year off the top of my head. Any longer, and you’re liable for income tax in Italy.
Thank you for another nicely detailed video. 👍 I was wondering how the crime rate is in the Umbria area? Is property crime very prevalent? Thank you again for all your hard work. 🙏
I realize this is an older video. But I've been catching up. Many I've watched several times lol. I just wanted to say that I think it's great people go to the effort to do a renovation. However, it's a shame they make all the bedrooms & bathrooms identical. They have no character or identity 😕. Even if you wanted to buy the property to use as a business. Such as holiday rentals, air bnb or retreats, the decor is very mundane and lacking. The buyer would have to incur additional expenses to re redo much of it. People like unique, different and memorable. This isn't much different than the Holiday Inn Franchise lol.
This place has been 'renovated' to the point of no return. If it had any charm previously, it has certainly be eradicated. Too bad because it's a beautiful location.
Property lacking the warmth and many original features that other homes you’ve shown have. Despite the beautiful setting and the rustic feel , there are way too many modern touches, poor choices in the lighting system. I don’t think any of the architectural details are original either, they all look reclaimed.
Nice homes, beautiful countryside, not a McDonalds or a WAWA in sight. You barely see power lines, almost like things have not changed in these areas for a thousand years, as many of the buildings are actually that old. Places are tastefully decorated, and pretty much all look basically the same. I must say the color scheme seems to be limited to brown, off white and terra cotta with a little verdigris mixed in occasionally. Where are the bright vivid colors of Italia, the tiles, the pottery, the fabrics, the green, the red, the white? Not much personality or zing in these homes, everything seems so restrained and sedate. How about an Oriental rug, a throw pillow, an accent wall? Perhaps people are told by realtors to depersonalize the viewings so prospective buyers can imagine how they might decorate it themselves? A blank slate, just show the bones, nothing homey or personal? Where is La Dolce Vita?
Hi Kelly, Thanks for your comment. This property is a vacation home and has a successful rental history. I expect the owners wanted function over style and that's why it's sparsely furnished. Best wishes, Nick.
Lovely property with views, infinity pool and beautiful blackberries. Win win win ♥️♥️🤤
It would be my permanent home! Not just a holiday home! This is absolutely stunning!
Love the way that the olive tree lined driveway is raised.
Love the white lockers for storage.
I do truly love this mansion!
They're called 'lockers' and they are very trendy and make for great storage. Gorgeous home. Love the modern finishes with the beautiful exposed stone and ceilings. Very tastefully done.
The view from the house is so beautiful. The pool is located in such a perfect place and love the greenery around.
Such beautiful countryside and homes.
Absolutely gorgeous!! Love the property
As a Brit living in Toronto appreciate your showing style and refreshing honesty. Excellent thorough showing of a beautiful property.
If Keith Floyd did property reviews, this is what they’d be like. You deserve a bigger audience.
OMG - This is one of the nicest houses that you've toured. Love the fusion of trad and modern. Everything is just right..... this has to sell soon, surely
Beautiful Nick! Thank you! Until the next rummage...
Lovely place this one!
It's sure to attract $50million!

These lockers remind me of hospital staff lockers. Modern property all ready to go
amazing! checks every box! looks like i need to up my budget of our purchase! :)
Quite impressive!
The master mind of the architect.. Thank you x sharing!

Oh, shut up and take my imaginary money!!! This is an absolute dream!

Absolutamente linda

Very good comment Mila, Thank you,

Everyone has different taste; it's what makes us interesting. Keep watching Xavier.

Those people busted the budget on A1 first class bathroom fittings- Storage ? You're on your own.
Hi Nick - do you mind asking the owners of this property to share please the manufacturer of the entire house tiles ...They are gorgeous .
Sure, I'll get back to you.
Thank you for another nicely detailed video. 👍 I was wondering how the crime rate is in the Umbria area? Is property crime very prevalent? Thank you again for all your hard work. 🙏
Hi, Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately like anywhere in the world there is always the possibility, but in general the area is extremely safe.
@@italianproperty Thank you so much for your reply.
The metal cupboards are high school lockers -ikea
And they're really out of place here!
I realize this is an older video. But I've been catching up. Many I've watched several times lol.

Amei este lugar. 😍
Obrigada
Lockers
Thank you!
With most of these properties I rarely see the option to get a car near the home...shopping, suitcases etc. must be a cultural thing. 🚙
In most cases you can get a car nearer to the house.
Are these homes sold furnished?
All depends, every house is different.
Can’t see the price.
€1,200,000. Full details in the description. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Nick.

A nice house, ruined by a trip to Ikea. 😕
Yor video is very good but you talk a lot and say nothing. Be brief and specific, don't go too far.
Thanks for you comment.
You speak like you're a pro yourself 🤔 attitude of some people 🤔

I feel this was not one of your favourite properties and a bit rushed
😊

A €1.2 million euro house with grade school lockers for closets? 😆 😂
Yep and it sold. Best wishes, Nick.
And I'm stuck in the middle with you!!
Thanks Terry. Love that song.
Stop asking apologies for this or for that!!! It’s irritating!!
I'm English. Comes with the blood I'm afraid. Sorry :)
Where's storage ? Weird Buy a freaking dresser, whiners
Beautiful property
