I figured that you were taking the holidays off, but I'm glad to see you were just waiting on a delivery to arrive. My Christmas presents? I bought myself a 2020 Ford F150 pickup truck and a 40-channel CB radio to go in it. My wife got me a beautiful hunter green BBQ apron and a Chef's hat to wear when I use my outdoor kitchen/BBQ grill I'm building in the back yard. See you again soon! --Dan
That’s an impressive haul! I got a Godzilla advent calendar. The first four or five were flat plastic so of course my wife got me a little tree to hang them on. The later days had awesome minis with two of them being my favorite, the ‘73? Version from vs. mech. 1. There were also modern ones and that insect oil thing from some modern movie. I love to have a goon squad of Godzilla minis. One day I hope to decorate as tastefully as you.
Sounds like a good time indeed. Luckily, Godzilla minis are a plenty. So that's a collection I think you'll have a good time with. 'Showa era Godzilla is by far my favorite. Good as Minus 1 was, I still prefer my heroic Godzilla.
@@AtomicSnackBar they use clips from nearly 20 movies from the 1940s and the splicing and interaction is just plain fun. Steve Martin’s comedic timing is on point.
For the longest time I was strictly MMPR, but I've been watching all of the incarnations.I'm almost done watching Samurai. But as for Lost Galaxy, does the scene with Villamax and little Cindy make you cry? It makes me cry. Probably one of the most heart wrenching scenes in all of TV and movie history.
Funnily enough, when I mentioned probably only two people would appreciate the Power Rangers stuff, you were one of the ones I was referring to. Samurai was one of the few modern seasons I watched in full. I liked it, but was a good bit more into Megaforce. I need to see Lost Galaxy again. I haven't watched it since it originally aired. I actually have it on VHS somewhere, taped off TV.
Yeah, Franzetta and Boris Vallejo's work is awesome. A friend back in the day had a Barbarians T-shirt. Don't know where he got it, but it was pretty cool. I have a collection of old biker movies too, always loved the cheesiness of most of them, but a few were actually pretty good. And Dark angel, remember that one...the raspy 'I come in peace' and at the end, Dolph's 'you go in pieces'...
Was that Barbarians T-shirt white? There was a special mail away offer back when it came out. I first saw it on a pamphlet at a video store, it was how I first discovered it, but there was also a commercial type thing for it. I'll try to link to for you. But I'll do it in its own comment.
@@AtomicSnackBar Yep, Anthony had that and we were wwf freaks back then too. He got a Hot Rod T shirt around the same time... 2 shirts I never saw except on him..
Hey. I really enjoyed this. Lots of great stuff and with a nice soothing voice and background music to relax both myself and the rowdy group of plant based bobcats (not related to goldthwait). I had a blast with Shredder's Revenge, have you tried that new Rita's Rewind game?
I haven't, only because I don't do digital games unless they are free. And barely even then. But trust me, as soon as Rita's Rewind gets a physical release, I'm gonna be all about it. I know reviews were rough at first, but I've heard they patched it up nicely.
That’s a great Christmas in my book. Always loved frazetta art in heavy metal magazine. My wife bought me a subscription years ago. She’s a good wife..😁✌️
it's never too late to check out a nice Sterling holiday haul, and it looks like you had a satisfying one this year. I have a few Frazetta art books, but nothing as nice as the edition you showed. i share your excitement about Kino Lorber (especially their holiday sales!). That release of SEVEN is a good one, but that special edition of THE PERFECT WEAPON has an enlightening Speakman interview and director commentary. I made a satisfying haul of Peter Jackson KING KONG Weta collectibles, including Kong Island skulls and collectable statuary, at my local thrift store. It was amazing luck finding them waiting for me all stacked up in their original boxes in the corner of the toy section! I'm still waiting for my Vinegar Syndrome movie order to ship, but that will make for a happy new year when it arrives. Hope everyone's enjoying the holidays. It's hard to believe we're ending the first quarter of the 21st century already! Cheers everyone until next year - don't forget a little bubbly for the occasion!
Hat's off to you, my friend. I'm impressed that not only are you aware of "The Perfect Weapon," but that you have listened to the commentary. Good stuff right there. And that sounds like quite the thrift store find. I've only had luck like that once. But considering how few times I've actually been, I guess my luck has been good. Thanks for watching, and have a great New Year. Don't do anything I would do.
Always love watching a good haul video 🐸❤️🌲I worked many years in a restaurant and the kitchen crew used to have so many in depth conversations about Thundercats. And just love the Felix the Cat . Happy New Year’s to all!!!
In depth conversations about Thundercats? That's sounds like my kind of folks, right there. And Felix is great. I picked up this really neat Mill Creek collection of public domain cartoons some time ago. Watch one or two before bed each night. But there is a bunch of Felix shorts on them, and I've really been enjoying them. Have a Wacky New Year.
I was introduced to the Basic Role-Playing Game by way of a Call of Cthulhu gaming group years ago. It’s an excellent way to introduce new comers, especially younger players, to the joys of table top role-playing. You’re spot on that it captures the ethos of the earliest editions of D&D much better than the later video game oriented versions. Thank you for another highly entertaining show. Great holiday haul
Call of Cthulhu is one I would love to play as well. But I just really dig TTRPGs. I find myself collecting the books, even if I don't think I'll actually get a chance to play them. I saw they are re-releasing TMNT and Other Strangeness. Even doing a mostly black and white version.
Love the FELIX character! I played with original GI JOES in the 60s. I put them away in custom-made (by Grandpa, course!) Footlockers and in the late 70s came home from college and felt like looking at them again. GASP! No where to be found. Turns out my four younger brothers blew them up with M80s and firecrackers playing war! I'm still mad about it.
Ohhhh man. That's just wrong, right there. But it was so often the case back in the day. That, or stories of mom's just throwing the toys away. True horrifying tales for toy collectors.
Thanks, quite the haul. I saw _Dead Men don't Wear Plaid_ at the theater when it was released. And I have the ebook version of the TCM book on horror movies, haven't read it yet, alas. Recently, I've bought digital copies of _The City of Lost Children, It! The Terror from Beyond Space, Heavy Metal, Wizards,_ and _Only Lovers Left Alive._
@@AtomicSnackBarThey're newer and more "artsy" movies. I saw _City of Lost Children_ years ago at the theater and I highly recommend it. I haven't seen _Only Lovers Left Alive,_ yet, it's a vampire movie. I haven't watched _It!_ yet, but it was on sale and Joe Dante did a TFH show about it. I saw _Wizards_ at a midnight showing at the River Oaks 3 theater, here in Houston. It's a historic theater and building that has been recently remodeled and reopened. You can check it out online, I saw a lot of great movies there when I was younger. I saw _Heavy Metal_ when it came out at the theater on first release.
Great collection of Christmas gifts! I love that Frazetta hardcover. I saw Perfect Weapon in theatres and loved it. Still do. Enter the Ninja is a great one too. Merry Christmas and I hope to see a load of great vids from you in 2025! My only want in 2025 is to read a follow-up to Bubblegum Apocalypse! Best wishes Mr. Sterling!
Ah, a follow up you say? I will certainly see about making that happen. It's actually partially written. I've just been focusing on THE novel trilogy from which the entire universe comes. Many, many thanks, and have a Wacky New Year.
So glad you had a good Christmas, my friend! And I got that Zanti Misfits shirt from your shop a while ago, and love it. It's one of those things that you look at and say "Why didn't someone think of this before? It's brilliant!"
Ah, thank you much, buddy. Hope yours was great as well. And man, you rock that Zanti Misfits shirt. But you are known for your excellent taste in t-shirts.
@@AtomicSnackBar And I applaud your taste in Battlestar Galactica 78. I've watched my DVDs so much over the years I've managed to put some decent scratches in the disks. I still have debates with friends about what Baltar's real plan was in "Lost Planet of the Gods". Was he planning on betraying the Cylons, or the humans? Or was he willing to betray whomever, as long as it meant he came out on top?
@@GreyhawkGrognard You know, it's been so long since I've seen any original Battlestar, I don't even remember. But I will keep that debate in mind for when I dig into the set.
@AtomicSnackBar don't know oswald...going to look it up. There is a man where I work that has the nickname 'felix' he does a lot of charity runs etc in a felix the car suit! Has to put wire in the tail to stop it dragging on the ground!!!
Right out of the gate I actually have that Frazetta book on my Amazon wish list. I don’t know that jsuperawesome character you speak of but he sounds like a great fellow. You got to love Kino Lorber. They have a great selection of action films. I will never forget that line in I Come In Peace when the alien guy says I Come in peace and Dolph replies with And you’ll go in pieces asshole. That’s classic tough guy stuff right there. Lots of great stuff here good buddy. This was highly enjoyable. Keep it Snacky!!
It's probably for the best. That jsuperawesome character, though very kind, also has a bad habit of stealing people's chest hair and building replicas of Wilford Brimley from "The Thing."
Watch out kids, Crazy Beatniks in Wacky Socks are coming to town! 😱 Blimey, "The Web" has got a stonking cast. Not just Vincent Price, but also William Bendix and Edmond O'Brien too. Bendix is a personal favourite of mine. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid is a real treat. The barbarian Brothers in a modern action flick? Cool. Funky Beatmas, Mr Sterling.
It's gonna be a hot time in the old town tonight. Wild packs of donut crazed, bowling alley lurking beatniks lurking about. Hide your exotica records now.
@AtomicSnackBar the most avaiable during my child era: lego, playmobil, smurfs, masters of the universe, g.i joe, transformers, hot weels. Also some Kenner star wars, and not so easy to find thundercats, brave star, dungeons and dragons, robotech. Many time you can only achive to find a single character from a serie. Old good days
I lik😮e my martinis. Pete smiletti on comic book radio occasionally has Fazetta’s granddaughter on his show. (I actually stopped drinking for the time being, so, really, no martinis for me)
Frazetta's granddaughter has a youtube channel as well, all about her grandfather's work. Pretty neat. But hey, you can always have an Innsmouth Martini like I drink. One part sea water, one part madness.
Oh yeah, I'm a big fantasy TTRPG person. It's just not something I get to talk about on the channel very often. I have an early video where I do a flip-through of the old Fiend Folio.
@@AtomicSnackBar-- Hey Mr. S, since I celebrate Cthulhu Christmas, it would have to be Easter -- although it might be wise not to put all of one's Yeggs into one basket! Cheers Warren, a good egg but something of a basket case!
Ah, this was awesome. I love Frank Frazetta’s artwork. Fright Favorites looks like a good book. Glad you like Godzilla Minus One, I thought it was excellent. Meridian is good. I love Dark Angel. Cool action figures. I didn’t get any toys this year, just a stack of trashy horror films which I’ll be showing off soon!
I learned it from watching you, Bryn. Though thinking about it, being a U.S. commercial, you may not know what I was referencing there. So, no busts from Horror Dad this year?
@ haitch2676 - Someone actually did a 'Coffee table' book that had fold-out legs, so you could use it to rest your coffee cup on. I have no idea what the contents of the book was, but the point was moot once you set it up.
Cool haul! this year I got a pair of vocal chords! I can finally talk to people! also the return is one of my favorite power ranger comics. if I had to pick a famous it would probably be the godzilla crossover though.
Looks like a good XMAS haul Stirling & i can't agree with you on any bad vids you have done as they all are fun to check out. I like that book on Horror you got from your friend as that will give you info you as more a Sci Fi guy than a horror buff, looks like it has some great stuff in it. Nice book on Frank F . Always cool artwork, now you should have a a book on two art guys which are the awesome Virgil Vinlay who did mostly Sci fi art & horror art & is one the best in the world when he was still alive & a book with Famous Monster artist Basil Gogos , now those are all great artists that do have one or more books out at very fair prices & i think a must for any collector to own. Looks like you made out like a bandit this year. I understand they have a Ray Harryhausen monster figurine collection out which would be perfect for your collection less you already have them. Cheers!!!
I quite like both Gogos and Finlay. Finlay's work in pulps is something else. But that's a really good idea. I hadn't thought of looking into a book of his work. I think I will go do that right now. Thanks, Paul. And have a Happy Wacky New Year, good sir.
Good choice with the Thunder cats. I've been planning on getting more of the super7 ultimates. I only have Baxter stockman and. Foot soldier. The last couple of DVDs I got were the ultimate sci-fi classics volumes because I wanted the Deadly Mantis.
Ah man, speaking my language there. I don't think I knew you were a toy collector. I've debated getting some of the Ultimates TMNT figures. They have a line based on the 200X series that I am really tempted to get as well.
@@AtomicSnackBar Mumm-ra is my favorite Thundercats character in both forms, but it'll depend which websites I find the best priced ultimates figure of him. But there's so many Super7 Ultimates that are good.

That's great. I went through the entire book last night after I filmed. It's great some great stuff in it. Some really killer art mixed with some rather raw stuff. But that's cool too, just like the old school books. Also neat that you are familiar with "The Perfect Weapon." It really flies under the radar. Thanks, Richard. And have a Wacky New Year.
Quite a nice pile of Christmas loot indeed. That ought to keep you busy for a while, you know what they say about you know who and idle hands…… I think I’m going to have to track that RPG down before they realize what they got and raise the price. I’m glad you finally broke down and watched Godzilla minus 1. I really enjoyed it too. Sounding great, take care of that hand! Thanx fer sharing!
Idle hands get smashed with monkey statues? No, that's not how that goes. I don't think. And I just checked, Basic Fantasy is still only $8.35 on Amazon at the moment. I went through the entire book last night, and there's some great stuff in it. I was impressed. Thanks, buddy. Happy almost New Year.
@@AtomicSnackBardude! I am so excited! I have never heard of that game and I spent some time looking over the site and it looks awesome. There’s even an adventure called Monkey Island for $5. I got a little Christmas scratch burning a hole in my pocket so thanks for the heads up!
You got a lot of nice stuff. I just got the Andy Sidaris Seven DVD a few months ago. It was the only Andy Sidaris film I didn't have. I like movies that are set up with an order like that.
So you have "Stacey" then? I've wanted to see that one for many years. I have the trailer on a comp, and it just looks awesome. I've never run across it, though.
@@AtomicSnackBar Well, I guess I don't have every Andy Sidaris film after all. I don't have Stacey, but I've got Girls, Guns, and G-Strings -- a nice collection of 12 of his movies. And now I've got Seven to add to my collection.
@@destructarr That Girls, Guns, and G-Strings is one of the single greatest DVD collections ever released. And the value was outstanding. I picked up mine from a K-Mart for 5 bucks.
When Shredder's Revenge was first announced, Usagi was one of the main characters I hoped would make it as DLC. Him and Mondo Gecko. Too bad Mondo wasn't on the anniversary release as well.
some lovely stuff there. I think you're really going to enjoy Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid = be interested to hear what you think. Hope you can do a special on BSG - I think it really is spiffy. I got a nice little vinal Dalek, a Dr Terror's House of Horror coffee mug and a box full of polystyrene fighter planes with the little propellers - like from when I was a kid. Really enjoyed this vid, especially loved that Frazetta book. Hope you had a lovely christmas - thanks for your great work.
Sounds like you got some pretty neat stuff yourself. I certainly wouldn't mind having a Dalek for the sci-fi shelf. Here's a question for you. Being that my Dalek knowledge is limited mostly to the Peter Cushing films. Have they evolved and changed designs over time? Or have they remained mostly the same? Have a Happy and Wacky New Year, my friend. It's been great having you here at the Snack Bar this year.
@@AtomicSnackBar Yeah, the Daleks looked a little different in their over all shape at first - then pretty much the same shape - apart from the odd departure, WW2 Daleks - the Emperor Dalek, and of course Davros. Other than that - the colours change - mostly depending on the era. Personally, I would recommend watching 'The Genesis of the Daleks', and the Christopher Eccleston series - it's a short series; has some great stuff in it - including one of the best Dalek episodes ever - kind of fills in the blanks of a lot of questions and mixes retro with modern (well - was modern). I do like a Dalek - sat in one once and used the voice thingy.
Oh, and by the way - I'm apparently the only person on the planet who didn't like Godzilla Minus One - preferred Shin. I don't like the fact that nobody mentions all of Japan's atrocities when talking about this film - sorry but it happened, and they did them.
@@AtomicSnackBar I just posted a new video - I look awful, but I really liked the sound; which just kind of happened, so I posted it - actually an older vid, but I'm very self conscious, so it took some beer to post it. Hope you like it.
That basic fantasy RPG book looks like it might be worth picking up, love old school RPG’s, I can’t say what it is but a lot of modern games are missing something. Death Wish! I own a German dvd collection of the movies, nothing says a good time like some Charles Bronson vigilante revenge!
It's definitely worth picking up. And I just saw that it's available on the UK Amazon as well for what I assume is a good price. I'm looking forward to digging into the Death Wish films. I want to say I saw one of them at the theater as a lad, but can't remember which.
Awesome Christmas haul!!! I’ve been thinking about checking out Basic Fantasy. I’m one of those rpg nerds that likes the dangerous and the Starbucks style. Shedder’s Revenge is amazing!!!
My Christmas was a bit boring this year by comparison, at my age I tend to focus on needs over wants. 😊 If you like art books and you don't already have it, may I suggest Mind Fields. It was a book released in the 80's that combined the art of Polish Artist Jacek Yerka with short stories written by the late great Harlan Ellison. Most likely out of print, but you might be able to find a used copy somewhere.
I get that, but who doesn't need a Ronald McDonald Pop figure and a Felix the Cat in a soda can? And Mind Fields sounds neat. I will go look into that right now. Thanks, Denise. And have a Wacky New Year.
@AtomicSnackBar I like the the Felix The Cat, he was always cool. Have to disagree about clowns though, I'm not full out Chloraphobic, but they just creep me out. Knowing part of the original history of them and Mimes doesn't help. Wacky New Year to you as well.🥂🍸🎉
@ deniseboldea1624 - There's a reason that clowns are so often used in horror movies. But lumping them in with Mimes is perhaps a bit slanderous. To the Clowns. As for Felix the Cat, he is the original Top Cat. Another wonderful cat.
man thats a cool haul right there, some great books, got some big books myself an awesome godzilla book, a beach boys book that i cant pick up with my hernia lol and one i cant put down infinity magazine 60s spy fi collectors edition stunning, great blu rays love dark angel, perfect weapon is so good also like the expert, battlestar galactica my favourite tv show would be cool to see an episode on that, i also picked up when the wind blows by raymond briggs graphic novel, some good toy collectables there too, great video cheers man
That sounds like quite the large book. Interesting too. I'm only mildly familiar with the Beach Boys' work, mostly because of their comeback in the '80s, but I would like to know more. Got any recommendations? And where would one go about checking out that Infinity Magazine?
@@AtomicSnackBar man you would love infinity magazine they cover everything sci fi, horror, spy and tv from the 50s to 80s, british mag upto about issue 80, spy fi is a special edition, i dont know the availability in the states, but must have a web site, beach boys depends on your tastes as they have many styles over the years, try and find infinity right up your street i would think
@AtomicSnackBar Yeah, it was a nice surprise. Great book! Also a few Blu Rays, and a neat looking Alien Romulus figure. I got throughly spoilt this year, but I have been very, very good. 😀🎅🎄
Super. A great haul for Christmas. That Fright book looks really interesting as I enjoy all those old horror movies. Enter the Ninja, Godzilla Minus One, Escape From L.A. All good films. I have been picking up a lot of KIno releases lately. Revenge of the Ninja is on my to get list. And the old Battlestar Galactica is a really nice set. I have the one that came in the box shaped like a Cylon head. I really like that Felix the Cat. Never saw The Power Rangers series, however in my day it was Ultraman. A Christmas present to my self was the complete series if Godzilla Soundtrack CDs. Took a while to get them as I had to buy a few at a time. Have a great holiday and catch up in the new year.
That last Kino sale was great. I got all six of those blu rays for 61 dollars and change. Hard to beat that for such nice releases. Now if only Arrow would do a sale like that. Revenge of the Ninja is quite good. Probably my favorite of the "series," but I need to see Enter the Ninja again to say for sure. Nice get with the Godzilla soundtracks. I was always really partial to Godzilla vs. Megalon. I love the '70sness of it. Thank you much, good sir. It's been great having you join us here at the Snack Bar this year.
@@AtomicSnackBar Yes. Kino's $10 sale price is great. About 14 bucks Canadian. A great bargain as stores sell them up here for 30 to 40 dollars CAD. Christopher George is hilarious in :Ninja". And Francp Nero is always good. It has been a fun year on the Snack Bar.
I’m an old fart and had never heard of Frazetta until a couple of weeks ago. Apparently his artwork goes for big bucks these days. Not totally my cup o’ tea though. Thirty years ago I had a chance to get a used copy of a real cool hardcover book of H.R. Giger’s artwork that I’m sure you would like. It was quite expensive then but I have no clue about availability and price these days. My recollection is that escape from L.A. is not as good as the N.Y. version but ymmv. I enjoyed Adrienne Barbeau 😍,and former wrestler Ox Baker in the N.Y. movie. Ox incidentally was on The Price Is Right one time and even got to spin the wheel. It’s available here on TH-cam.
I was watching "Escape from New York" a week or two ago with the commentary by Carpenter and Russell. There was some particularly interesting tidbits about working with Ox Baker, and the scene where he meets his end. Kurt said Ox was a nice man, but exceptionally rough during filming.
@@trappenweisseguy27 He was a pretty intimidating-looking fellow. That old school-style wrestler that was just big and tough, as opposed to all showy gym guys.

Nice haul! All those things speak for themselves -- but any chance of later reviews?? ;) Narrowing it to the theme, my gift of wacky socks have Karloff's Frankenstein's Monster on them. Electric blue and white, almost a startling color scheme. Part of my gift to that friend was a ReAction Figure of Huckle Cat from the Richard Scarry books. She dug that pretty well. :) I gave one housemate a D&D book, How Not To Get Eaten By Owlbears. I hope he takes its advice seriously, for i fear the worst. The only Super7 Ultimates figure I have so far is the invisible version of Sheila from the '80s D&D cartoon.
Yes, indeed. There is certainly a chance of several things here being discussed in more detail. And that's neat that you have the Sheila. I've had my eye on both the normal Sheila figure and the Dekkion Skeleton Warrior. On the NECA side of things, I have the Warduke and the Elkhorn figures.
@@AtomicSnackBar Oh man, good choices, those are two of my favorite. Elkhorn was the one character I was hoping for when they started making these. It became my current collecting mission to get every 6" - 7" D&D figure, once I saw the cartoon characters in live action.
@@AtomicSnackBar Ohhh yeah. Gonna be limiting my collectibles intake much more until her release date! 😆 It's almost like watching my waistline 'til Thanksgiving rolls 'round, hehhehheh
Amazing Christmas haul. Love Frank F. The death dealer was probably my favorite. Jack is awesome. Enter the Ninja is one of my favorites. Of course revenge of the Ninja is also awesome. Kino lorber does a great job with their releases. Wow the perfect weapon, i love that movie. I really need to get the barbarians. Minus one is amazing. You'll like meridian. I come in peace is so cool. Battlestar Galactica is a favorite.
You have such a good knowledge of action movies, you really need a show to focus on that as well. You are so prolific already, one more won't hurt you. Then again, that one more might be the final straw that snaps you. Thanks for watching, buddy. Have a Wacky New Year.
And speaking of clothing from Star Trek I received two hoodies, one a zip up and one pull over, that say Starfleet Academy on a badge on the chest and one says Starfleet Academy across the front which I really think are cool and I'm sure everybody thinks I'm a geek. Somebody thought I was in the space force, because of the one with the emblem on left side of the chest LOL
Well, back in P.E. in high school, i realized i wasnt the kind to wear bike shorts. It was borderline vulgar and probably considered exhibitionist. So i learned my lesson early on...
Amazing! What a great Christmas for you! May I ask, where and how do you store your DVDs? I've got over 1,000 and have resorted to alphabetizing and boxing them but to find one is a frustrating hunt as the boxes number over 20, piled on one another. As well as some DVDs crammed onto other bookshelves, I don't know how to easily access them. And it is obvious that you possess many, many as well and I am curious. Do you live in a warehouse? Or perhaps have a shrink-ray to maximize storage space? It reminds me of Larry McMurtry's book warehouse in Archer City, Texas, where he stored his multitudinous collection. He would buy up bookstores going out of business and store them in many storefronts in his town. He wrote that he was sad thinking there wasn't enough time left in his life to reread his favorites let alone the hundreds of thousands he had. Reflectively, I wonder how long I have left and if I'll have time to rewatch my favorites, not being morbid about it, just saying. Have a "Happy New Year" and a healthy one!
@ stephenshoshin3190 - I have so many videos on bluray and DVD that my sister-in-law used to joke that one day they would find me dead having been buried under a mountain of video cases. But by the grace of God and my brother with carpentry skills ( of which I have none),_he built me a custom wall bookcase about 7' long and 6' high. It's only deep enough to hold videos but it takes up one wall of my apartment. I still have 2 more bookcases with canvas pull-out drawers that house the ones that can't fit in the 7' bookcase. Albeit I've been accumulating videos for at least 4 decades, but I don't feel any guilt. I know I'm not alone in my addiction and as a great man once said: " It's better than spending your money on bottles of scotch. "
A very interesting question there. Most of my movies are on a big set of media shelves that holds around 550 to 600 DVDs I'd guess. Though that one is close to being full. Might actually be full after this haul. Then I have all my TV shows on a separate set of shelves. And finally, for stuff I don't care about displaying, I have them in boxes. Also interesting, your point about re-watching your favorites. I've actually been doing what I call "The Great DVD Re-Watch." I found myself streaming a bit too much, so about a year ago I started going through and watching ever DVD/Bluray I own, mostly in the order in which they appear on the shelves. It's been nice. Seeing old favorites and taking out some of the guess work of what to watch.
@@tonysantiago255 You’re definitely not alone Tony, i have a floor-to-ceiling, 9-foot wide media shelving wall unit, plus 5 more freestanding media racks in the hallway… and i’m still out of media storage space 😅 But like you, i have few other vices, so i can’t complain 😁👍
1. Unicorns ARE the scariest creatures. 2. This sister character of yours sounds pretty decent. She was just trying to get a dangerous bug off your hand. Or maybe it was a donut crumb. You should give her a 5 star rating on Yelp.
Always love a good haul video, and double-always hype for a new installment of Midnite Martinis 🍸🧐 Nice pile o’ loot & swag you got there my friend, thx for showcasing it for us. I did post a rare below the knee shot from Hollywood Studios a few months back. The reaction was so strong, so positive, that my fan club actually showed up at my house. Weird that they were all carrying torches and pitchforks, though. I was going to ask why, but they were shouting so loudly with joy that I really couldn't understand them.
@@AtomicSnackBar Oh yeah, i forgot about that 🤔 Matter of fact, i was _in_ that mob! It may have _sounded_ like we were shouting things like “Rot in hell”, but we were _actually_ saying “Rob is swell!” 😁 …at least _I_ was saying that, anyway 😶 (this story was based on an old Simpsons reference… can you guess it? 😉)
You had a very good haul there Rob. Dead men don't wear plad is brilliantly done massive fan of that . Best I got was the Davros emperor dalek from rememberance of the darleks. Tried to get the special weapons darlek buy that's bloody expensive. Glad you had good Christmas.

Oh man, that was from me. I thought you might need it as you sink further down in depravity this coming year. Sorry it arrived broken. That's money down the drain. And that Marcel Marceau, he really had a way with hands. Not in the same way as that guy we hang out with behind the bowling alley, mind you. But you know what they always say, ".......... fhtagn."

Hello & a happy new year to you Stirling. I wanted to tell you i came across a YT channel that has a ton of full older Dr. Who episodes on it called Doctor Who: Classic. YT seems to be fine with this so if you're interested just type that in & take a peek at all the great episodes he has on & i have watched one full 1-1/2 hour one that played just fine. Well worth checking out & subscribing should you want to enjoy those older & to myself the best of Dr. Who. If i sent the link it may not go through so you can find it by the title. Very cool !!!
Ah, very cool. Thanks for the tip. Tubi has some up as well. I have one of the collections in my watch list. And if you haven't checked out Tubi, it's a treasure trove of rare and obscure content.
DANG Mr. S. What have I been missing all these years. I had no idea that books like these existed. I only had Playboy, Hustler, Screw (The NY Newspaper) and Sports Illustrated "European Style" at my disposal to educate me. Forgive me ALL here as I now know what i have been missing. My new years resolution is to get totally NERDED UP" on this magnificent Genre to complete my circle of life. I have been in the dark. Thank you for lighting my future pathways for the journey I shall take is going to be epic and full of adventure of the Atomic Snack Bar Kind. Thanks, Larry. I will certainly try. And it's been great having you join us here at the Snack Bar.
--Dan
Heck yeah. That's quite the Christmas present. I'll now be expecting you and Uncle Karl to swing by and pick me up. Wear the Chef's hat too.

Oh I like “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid”! It’s not a timeless classic, just a really fun and enjoyable flick.

Definitely a good one, Steve Martin is perfect in this role
@@chrisbridges4885 I've liked Steve Martin in everything I've ever seen him in.

The Frazetta is a lovely volume.
I haven't gotten to fully thumb through it, but what I've seen has been really nice.

It was quite a good Christmas indeed. And a subscription to Heavy Metal, you say? Now that's the gift that keeps on giving.
it's never too late to check out a nice Sterling holiday haul, and it looks like you had a satisfying one this year.
Thank you. Happy New Year to you, too.

If you like art books and you don't already have it, may I suggest Mind Fields.
Great haul video especially the Fright Favourites, Atomic Santa got me that one! 😀🎅🎄
That's an interesting co-inky dink. Was it this Christmas as well?
@AtomicSnackBar Yeah, it was a nice surprise. Great book! Also a few Blu Rays, and a neat looking Alien Romulus figure. I got throughly spoilt this year, but I have been very, very good. 😀🎅🎄
@@paulbowler5345 So you say. But I know a couple of Daleks that might disagree.
@@AtomicSnackBar 😀
@@garfieldsmith332 It has definitely been quite the year for the channel. And I owe it all to the first Hammer video.
@@AtomicSnackBar Kayfabe Ox scared the hell out of me back in the 70’s but was not available on my tv very often. Him and Mad Dog Vachon.
@@trappenweisseguy27 He was a pretty intimidating-looking fellow. That old school-style wrestler that was just big and tough, as opposed to all showy gym guys.
@@AtomicSnackBar Not an enviable career choice. Those guys get chewed up and spit out when they are no longer useful to the promoters. Yes the outcomes are pre determined, but accidents and 💩 happens.
Ive some 60s sci fi pulp and the first yr of heavy metal magazine
That's awesome. I've been slowly collecting early issues of Heavy Metal. I don't think I have anything from the first year, though.
@AtomicSnackBar I've a Hellboy samaritan
@@wonyankeesays5661 That sounds cool as well. I don't have many replica type pieces like that, but I dig them.
Looks like a great haul:) Happy Holidays Sir:)
It was very nice indeed. Thanks, George. Hopes yours rocked as well.
Nice haul! All those things speak for themselves -- but any chance of later reviews?? ;)
Narrowing it to the theme, my gift of wacky socks have Karloff's Frankenstein's Monster on them. Electric blue and white, almost a startling color scheme. Part of my gift to that friend was a ReAction Figure of Huckle Cat from the Richard Scarry books. She dug that pretty well. :)
I gave one housemate a D&D book, How Not To Get Eaten By Owlbears.
@@TitularHeroine Have you seen the 7 inch scale Tiamat? She is a thing of beauty.
@@AtomicSnackBar Ohhh yeah. Gonna be limiting my collectibles intake much more until her release date! 😆 It's almost like watching my waistline 'til Thanksgiving rolls 'round, hehhehheh
Useless information, I actually saw "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" in the theater way back in 1982.
That's pretty neat. It must have looked great up on the big screen.
Happy holidays!
Many thanks. To you as well.
I used to be a Boris Vallejo worshiper. I still do art like him
I don't think I knew you were an artist. I'd like to see some of your work.
@AtomicSnackBar I'll see if I can put what I'm working on right now on my Personal TH-cam
@AtomicSnackBar there I posted a few unfinished stuff I've been working on and off and on and off LOL
@AtomicSnackBar well i thought i loaded pics, ill try again
Yeah, kinda
And speaking of clothing from Star Trek I received two hoodies, one a zip up and one pull over, that say Starfleet Academy on a badge on the chest and one says Starfleet Academy across the front which I really think are cool and I'm sure everybody thinks I'm a geek. Somebody thought I was in the space force, because of the one with the emblem on left side of the chest LOL
I've been told my hair looks like the ThunderCats hair in general I can't help it if I look like Lionel
@@AlpharedKanisTholiman I would take that as a compliment. Just don't wear Lion-O's little outfit.

@ richardkohlhof- #makegeekscoolagain. No normies allowed in the treehouse.
@@tonysantiago255 You’re definitely not alone Tony, i have a floor-to-ceiling, 9-foot wide media shelving wall unit, plus 5 more freestanding media racks in the hallway… and i’m still out of media storage space 😅
But like you, i have few other vices, so i can’t complain 😁👍
1. Unicorns ARE the scariest creatures.
2. This sister character of yours sounds pretty decent. She was just trying to get a dangerous bug off your hand. Or maybe it was a donut crumb. You should give her a 5 star rating on Yelp.
