I do believe that the "In 15 minutes we'll be fucking shark bait!!" line from the second Coast Guard radio intermission is actually a reference to the old Jaws ride from Universal Studios. Fairly obscure (but welcome) reference in the franchise! Side note, RIP that ride, it was one of my favorites.
So I am not a movie buff, like I don't hate movies but I just never think about watching anything when I'm by myself, I usually watch twitch and/or game. But I pick up things from people making references or people talking about the movies or just general pop culture. The first few times I heard this song, I legitimately didn't know what it was, but I started to think about some of the lyrics and especially that breakdown where he says "we'll be fucking shark bait," I was like what is he talking about? This was actually a song I really liked a lot just naturally, but when I figured out the movie references and the name of the album and such, I was like that is a really crazy awesome tribute song!

Orca, this is Coast Guard, do you read, over?
...
Orca, do you read, repeat, DO YOU READ???
Sir! There's some sort of shipwreck floating out in the distance!
My God. It got them.
Notice how they self promoted their other albums. Safe is just a Shadow, the predator becomes the prey, and every trick in the book.
also the burning and last chance to make amends

I can't get enough of this CD!
We all notice and love the metal cover of the Jaws theme in the breakdown yes, but can we take a second to appreciate the opening riff that's reminiscent of the Spanish Ladies sea shanty and the instruments literally sounding like a bellbuoy in the pre-chorus? The instrumentals on this one are sick.
The references are beautiful and this whole album is amazing
This band needs more views/respect
Honestly my favorite song on the album XD
"Rodger that eta fifteen minutes." "In fifteen minutes we will be f*ckin' shark bait...."
*SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRK!!!!!!*
I love how they reference their previous albums in this song
The predator becomes the prey fits so well HERE
Thank you saying for that.
Amazing. Thank you.
This has to be my favorite album thus far. Not a single song that I don't like.
Same here! It's just soooo good

Wasn't this song about a killer shark? Thats what I thought when they screamed SHARK and the breakdown.
Its based on the movie JAWS
I wonder what infamous horror movie this one’s about.
“SHAAAAAAARKKKK!!!”
Oh okay…
kid in my class had a “your gonna need a bigger boat” on the back of a jacket he has with jaws on the front I thought I was a ice nine kills jacket at first but nope just a normal jaws jacket lol still pretty cool tho
Como me encanta este album ❤️
3:00
Just making a time stamp for myself ty
Best song on the record and I’ll take that to my grave
2:56 you’re welcome
Movie: Jaws
Intro:
SHARK!
Interlude :
"Coast Guard, this is The Orca, do you read me?
Four and a half miles due east of Amity Island.
This is an official distress call, over."
Verse 1:
We all know a place
That appears so sublime
But if you dive a little deeper you'll hit the real bottom line
The head of the town
Is out there flashing his teeth
A telltale sign about to surface that there's a monster lurking
UNDERNEATH!
Pre-chorus:
They're thrashing around
But found
They can't
Contain
The leak!
Cause' I've got a fish to fry
That's feeding on the weak!
So cast a line for every life they took
It's time to set the HOOK!
Chorus:
We're all just floating in a shallow grave!
BUOYED BY THE BLOOD OF THE MASSES!
They'd rather sell out instead of save
We're all so starving that we've taken the bait
YOU THINK WE WOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM THE PAST!
That The Predator will soon Become
THE PREY!
Verse 2:
We all know a place
Where the calm flees at night
And Safe Is Just a Shadow so we swim towards the light
If this voyage of valor
Put us on deck for death
We'll compare scars with each other until our very last breath
YEAH!
(YEAH!)
Pre-chorus:
They're thrashing around
But found
They can't
Contain
The leak!
Cause' I've got a fish to fry
That's feeding on the weak!
Reel them in with Every Trick in the Book
It's time to set the HOOK!
Chorus:
We're all just floating in a shallow grave!
BUOYED BY THE BLOOD OF THE MASSES!
They'd rather sell out instead of save
We're all so starving that we've taken the bait
YOU THINK WE WOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM THE PAST!
That The Predator will soon Become
THE PREY!
Interlude:
"Coast Guard, this is The Orca again, we need you out here now!
The boat is under attack, it's a Great White, over!"
"Roger that, ETA fifteen minutes, over."
"In fifteen minutes we'll be fucking shark bait!"
Bridge:
LAST
Chance to Make Amends
So try to stay afloat!
WITH SHARKS LIKE YOU AMONG US!
We'll need a bigger boat!
Sold us down the river
SO THE RICH CAN STAY RICH!
But now you've been caught!
So smile!
*YOU SON OF A*
BITCH!
Breakdown:
Sinking with The Burning embers
Should be any sign of doubt
That this tale will be remembered
And the tide will forever flush them out!
Chorus:
We're all just floating in a shallow grave!
BUOYED BY THE BLOOD OF THE MASSES!
They'd rather sell out instead of save
We're all so starving that we've taken the bait
YOU THINK WE WOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM THE PAST!
That The Predator will soon Become
THE PREY!
I love jaws
Cool song!
🎃HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL!!!!
*SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK*
Love this song!
Dam this album good as hell probably now my second favorite
This is my most favourite song in the world.
You killed me once before but I arose from the ground And here I am now. Listening to your music lost but not hooked
This song is fucking godlike
That breakdown though 😍...... I came 😳
I do believe that the "In 15 minutes we'll be fucking shark bait!!" line from the second Coast Guard radio intermission is actually a reference to the old Jaws ride from Universal Studios. Fairly obscure (but welcome) reference in the franchise!
Side note, RIP that ride, it was one of my favorites.
Oh god that takes me back
So I am not a movie buff, like I don't hate movies but I just never think about watching anything when I'm by myself, I usually watch twitch and/or game.
I just love how they make songs inspired by iconic horror movies like Jaws, IT, The Shining, Nightmare On Elm Street, etc. Also did they ever made a chucky inspired song?
Yes, Assaults And Batteries from their latest album. :)
I love this song however my Alexa thought this goes in a bedtime playlist and woke me and scared me shitless
I've found my new alarm gdi I was not expecting that
Love the album tho
Halloween is going to be a good time :D
2:55 FUCKING BREAKDOWN WENT SOOOO FUCKING HAAAARD IT MADE THROW ALL THE STUFF IN MY ROOM
DAAAMN THIS ALBUM IS JUST......
Holy shit, also I’m new :D i’m going to listen to all of their stuff because for what I see in the lyrics they are referencing all of their previous work like Every trick in the book (I’ve only heard one song)
But DAAAAMN
I’m so happy I found this band ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Aaaahh the reference hope they rerecord the burning or last chance to make amends like when they rerecord safe its just a shadow :^)
Owlrror GotScared
the burning (reburned and re recorded)
Last chance to make amends. (Remended and rerecorded)
That'll be awesome to hear. And get Jeremy off and on for that
