Over-Dyeing My Handspun a Re-vamp Yarn Experiment

- Over-dyeing is another way I like to revamp my handspun, whether I'm not thrilled with its current color or just want to change the look of the yarn just for fun. Over-dyeing is another way to get comfortable with dyeing yarn, especially if you're experimenting with yarn that's not getting used. Sometimes tweaking the color will have you looking at it in an all new light.
In this video I experiment with a dark over-dye vs a light over-dye on two of my handspun yarns. One of which was knit into a hat, but I unraveled and am now over-dyeing to change it up and reuse. If I'm successful and like the final result. :)
Come join me on this journey of yarn color transformation. Will it be gorgeous or hideous?
I use a crockpot to dye the yarn in my usual lazy way: no pre-mixing or soaking!
As usual, thanks for watching. I would love to hear your comments or suggestions for future videos.

About Me
I'm Leilani. I'm a mom, cat mom, indie dyer, and spinner from Nova Scotia, Canada. I started my fiber arts journey in another part of the country but moved back to my home province a few years ago. I've been honing my craft all by my lonesome for over 12 years. I'm also a jewelry artist, my first creative venture since the early 2000's. My corporate background is in Travel/Tourism & Incentives, but I left all that behind to raise a family.
