- i can't believe how much i love love love spinning yarn ! i filmed this chatty spinning vlog a little while back and have only just got round to posting it, so enjoy ⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚

As a more experienced spinner (nearly 14 years, both spindle and wheel), you are doing very well. You can fix the first spindle with glue and it won't hurt how it spins at all. Second, while the one yarn with the pigtails (extra curly spots) may be a little over spun, no single is truly balanced and some of that extra energy would balance out in plying it with another single.

I'd take the small pieces you made and tied them together with the invisible knot to make a big varieties color yarn! I feel like it would make a nice bucket hat

idk whats up wit the angle you are taking the video from when you are spinning but its actually kind of magic, the arms semi in view and the spindle going makes it feel like an action shot, but its yarn spinning so its also cozy. idk its great. thanks for sharing

I suggest you glue the spindle shaft to the whorl on your broken deep spindle. Nice spins!

I started learning to spin on a drop spindle a few months ago and then haven’t touched it since that weekend. This is making me inspired to try again.

i still can’t believe it !!
I’m currently procrastinating on working on spinning some wool ive had for a year and a half 😅 someday ill finish it, and maybe dye it and probably make a shawl or vest. I just have a drop spindle, so it takes a while. Really wish I could get a wheel
i’m a sucker for procrastinating on projects too !! but sounds like a great plan 🌟 keep your eye out for second hand wheels, i found mine on ebay & they can be so much cheaper !!
