Such respect, resilience and inspiration she is for being so Strong and Continuing to make the world Smile.

This is easily one of the best podcast interviews across the spectrum not just comedy focused podcasts. Neal and Kathy are such a great mix to talk about all the craziness she went through. I still love her voice! It’s gotten stronger and, while she can’t yell or rasp, I think it sounds fine and she knows how to use it. I will always be a Kathy fan ❤

You know: she made a choice by posting that photo, got a lot of backlash from fans and non-fans alike, and then took down the photo and apologized…and that should have been that. She didn’t do any other number of awful things that many other comedians *and politicians* have with far less backlash, such as sexually assault people. The way so many people just continued to go after her was ridiculous. I had a coworker at the time that wouldn’t shut up about it, and I’m like; “well, I didn’t like the photo but at the end of the day she’s a comedian and I don’t hold her to the same standard as a politician. Now, politicians posting similarly inflammatory things are the ones I feel we should be concentrating on because they’re supposed to be representing us”. My coworker did not like that response. I’m pretty sure she was a secret Trumper.
Not to mention the fact that it was the photographer's idea and he kinda pushed it on her. She could have refused of course, but I get why she had no idea it would be so explosive.
Trump loves litigation and taking things too far. Had it been anyone other than Trump, it wouldn't have gone any further. I feel terrible for everything negative that's happened to her. She didn't deserve any of that nightmare.

An observation I have made with cancel culture or tear down culture of people in the public eye, is those that are more genuine, authentic, vulnerable, and unabashedly themselves are the people that we hit the hardest and then hold down the longest. why are we as a society so afraid of people who know, love and express themselves?
