I like the blue dot. It shows how people are voting. And in this case, it shows that people are voting for freedom and democracy but not idolizing a person. This is simple and I agree that it starts conversations. Americans do need to start talking to one another.

I'm a Brit 🏴🇬🇧🌍👋 but I'm terrified that trump's going to win, so I'm sharing and commenting on as many videos as I can, and posting them to a list on my TH-cam channel, especially regarding Project 2025, because I still think there are sooo many people out there who don't know what it is.
I saw a video the other day, of country music singers reacting to trump's attempted assassination. I have always liked some country music (mainly from 80s & 90s, so I was interested). What REALLY caught my eye though was the comment section. It was chock a block full of MAGA supporters blaming the attempt on a democrat! 🙄 I found myself, time and time again, explaining what they found out about the shooter. There was also LOADS of hate filled comments for democrats, so I found myself (as a disguised Brit 🇬🇧 😅) trying to say that Democrats didn't wish trump dead, as they kept saying, and why are they so filled with hate? I stated that democrats DON'T hate Republicans, they hate what trump stands for, his crimes, his hate & division, his sexism, his lies, him pulling the wool over their eyes, his policies, and the policies of Project 2025.
I'm now waiting for the hate filled answers to come rolling in 🙄.
I DO wonder though, if this should be what Democrats should be doing?

The Christians get put and vote, and they always vote Republican, and there's more people in rural areas than you think. @@jreynolds2184 Actually, showing your blue dot support in a red area may just give a first time voter or a person of conscience who would normally vote red, but is wavering, that encouragement to vote blue too. It can help to know your neighbor is an ally, when everyone in your family is homophobic, but you're secretly closeted. It can help to see the strength in numbers when you're a woman feeling hopeless but you see those blue dots proliferating to know those people are standing up for your rights. I don't see it as attention seeking at all. I see it as being an ally. Showing what you stand for, despite the hate you know you're surrounded by.
This is why I'm so thankful that I live in the safety of a blue sanctuary city where we have gun free zones and uphold the rule of law. We are not going back.

It helps people to know there are others like them. While my state is blue, and my county is blue, I live in a very red congressional district, in a red town (with some real, "pieces of work"). I've seen maybe three houses within a mile of me (in densely packed suburban homes) that had Biden or Democratic yard signs, and tons of Trump ones. You start to feel a bit isolated and alone, in a sea of potentially dangerous kooks, and those yard signs are a beacon of light.

I’m a UPS guy in suburban Omaha. I’ve definitely seen a bunch of these as well as Harris/democrat signs. More so than in 2020. I have been on the same route since July 2020 and I can tell you at least that the yard signs are more Blue/Democrat this time.

I live in a generally conservative and Republican area. In 2016 and 2020 there were a lot of tRUMP signs in my neighborhood. Driving around today I noticed -85% fewer tRUMP signs compared to the past. Take that for what it is.
