The original Resurgence has the vibe of the final battle of an apocalypse, where despite having the odds against him, the last survivor faces off against the strongest of the infected in order to avenge the ones he lost. This remix, however, has a sense of dread, given that the vibe of an infected who is basically an unstoppable force taking care of the one who still haven’t succumbed to the infection, and that in the middle of the song, it gives a sense of false hope that the survivor could win, but quickly fades in the end, showing that this was an unwinnable battle.

THIS. is a true masterpiece. this remix gives the song a whole new feeling to it, its like the final battle in a very apocalyptic wasteland, where a hero and a powerful villain have one final battle, and the hero is losing. i like how it keeps some of the sounds from the original as well, like the things at 3:42 (idk what they're called lmao) i'm def keeping this on loop for how great it is
god DAMN. resurgence was already one of my favorite songs in the mod (not like it was hard to tell...) but this is insane man! the slower pace gives a feeling of complete and utter dominance, and it sounds super fucking good the art goes crazy as well, i love all the little details in there. you've improved SO much as a creator and i really look forward to whatever you put out next!
perhaps my definition of "little" details is a bit more generous than yours, since i mean the stuff like the crosses on BF's limbs and the red lines in the background representing spirit doesn't stop the art from being super good tho!

But watching him go from depressive to defiant, knowing that each second he stands defiant, he gives mario from super smash brothers brawl another precious second to flee. I didn't expect Luigi from hit game Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games to survive getting run over by Evil Mearest. But his return was enough to give Pico the motivation to keep going. And they would have won, but the chills on my spine when MM showed back up and said "It's devestation time" and familiar finaled all over them. I will NEVER forget how emotionally moving it was for Pico to spare Luigi a fate worse then death by literally just executing them with their Mac-10. And the exhaustion in Pico's final "go pico, yea yea, go pico, yea" before he was finally taken down by purple suit daddy dearest.
