    Nice review. Prefer my Fortress Wraps over traditional hand wraps. Relatively quick to get on and with the built in wrist support and knuckle pad, I have had zero hand issues since I started using them. Plus the wrap to go on top of them holds everything in place. Just my preference. If I didn’t have hand issues I’d probably just stick with the traditional 180” Mexican style wraps.

      @@lostangeles that’s why I like Fortress. I have used them in 16oz, 12oz, and fight gloves with no issues getting them in. The padding is not too big. And the design prevents slipping of the padding away from the knuckle. If you want cons, the price is a bit high and I’ve noticed the stitching on the new models T1 is not as high quality as the PE|SS.

    Always love your reviews man. I just feel like if i picked these up i would want to wrap around it just like I do w the classic knuckle pads now anyway.

    Also could you review the hayabusa gel quick hands wraps?

    Also, I just picked up the title memory foam's; I think you may enjoy em on the heavier hitting days.

    How good is the padding on the knuckle ?
    And can this be washed

    I injured my middle knuckle bro with regular Mexican hand wraps. I switched to NG2 winning gel pads and still, after every session, the knuckle is sore or in pain. I then bought the cleto reyes with extra padding 16oz and again, my last training session, re-injured my knuckle. I have been training like this for 6 weeks. Do you think it’s time to give my hand a good rest? If so, how long would you recommend? I’m tired of not being able to punch with full force with my right hand.

      Give it lots of rest for a few weeks... Do lots of shadow boxing, work air filled (D/E) bags, work on punching technique and accuracy (and footwork, head movement, etc) and make sure your wrapping technique is optimal. Once better, use Silipos gel squares as knuckle pads with a 180 or 210 wrap and I have actually benefitted from RB5s and the RB60C's afterwards to really hone the knuckle placement when punching. Silipos seems better protecting and is certainly thinner and stays in place more consistently than the NG2's

      @@EasyMoneyGoat if that still isn't enough, the 1/4" skulltec gel pads might offer even more padding, but that's a lot of knuckle gel (1/2" when doubled over) and might not fit your gloves.
      For me, correcting technique, hitting more precisely and "staying tight" really helped.
      Shadow boxing with a resistance band hooked over each thumb and around your back can really help train you to keep tight and helps when fighting inside.

      @@carpecursus just bought the skulltec gel pads for when I heal. From some reviews I watched on YT, I hear that those really helped people who had the same problems as me.

    • @carpecursus
      @carpecursus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EasyMoneyGoat Ryan Garcia appears to be using them on his hands after surgery.
      For me, the key is to fully heal and then focus on shot and knuckle placement.
      I used smaller bags and thinner gloves to accomplish it.
      I also don't use any traditionally filled bags. A water-filled polyform LD-4 is a godsend on joints. If I only had one heavy bag, this would be it. After that, consider an A4 or A3 depending on your strength / size.

    6:25 Bro 🤣 But yeah, I feel it's much better to use regular wraps with ng-2s or some other gel pads. Nice review, as always!
