My dog hates both. Basically, my dog hates water, that too to such extent that if i am cleaning the floor it, it gets pissed off.

I think some of it has to do with the shampoo that people sometimes use. Dogs obviously have a very strong sense of smell. All of a sudden they find they've lost their familiar natural scent and have been washed with something that smells to them like very strong chemicals. That smell then stays on their coat for days afterwards. It's like someone picking you up and dipping you in something that smells like ammonia

I’m the type of person that goes to pet stores to see (play with) dogs like this! I look like I’m shopping but really trying to run into doggies like this. I don’t have time for my own. I just love all the dogs.

@@BringBackCyParkVendingMachines yes, I couldn’t do it. It would kill me knowing they don’t have homes to go to at night and I can’t bring them home. Especially if it was a kill shelter it would take over my whole life. That’s why I love going to parks and pet stores because I know they are fine when I leave them.

What I love about goldens is that they still have that energetic, loving puppy personality even into adulthood.
Sterling is my brother from another mother. Tyler and Mrs Diane are family too. I am so happy to have known the Newton family. I love golden retrievers and Sterlie is the coolest Goldie I have ever known. Thank you, Newton family

I love how the guy is taking such good care of him.
Coming from a golden retriever owner , dry his ears completely before leaving the bathtub. He will get a bad hotspot eventually , my golden did and he’s still fighting it a month later. Look it up!

I have never seen a golden that didn't like water. My girl loved having a bath. My rescued mutt not so much. Once she was in the tub and felt the warm water she was okay. :-) Both girls loved going to pick out toys and getting treats and pets from everyone. I can see your dog never gets attention LOL. BEAUTIFUL dog!!!!

My lab Lucy would be in rivers, puddles, ponds, lakes. Try and get her in the bath, impossible. She's gone now and God do I miss her. RIP girl

Yeah, our boy was the same, when it came to the beach or lake - straight in - no hesitation but when it came to a bath? - we had some difficult days, summer or warmer months were for the backyard with the hose and some good dog bath soap, winter was for these bath stations at the petstore - worth every cent - ours had warm water..
