- It's been 20 years since Sailor Moon first invaded North America. Now, a jam-packed house featuring a few of the original English cast from the DiC/Cloverway dub - the one panel everyone's waiting for!

I'm so glad Karen decided to debut her sailor mercury. She is by far the best and the ONLY sailor mercury voice for me. She's phenomenal and her being there is AMAZING!! Her voice is so strong and so fitting for the role.
Must've never watched Sailor Moon in its original form after cartoon network in Fox kids destroyed it

It fit so perfect and I wish I could have met her. Sailor Jupiter is my fave of them all

So glad Karen Bernstein was there! If I asked a question, I'd ask her to say "BLAAST!" with the growl that she usually did. (Even when she said "Mercury Bubbles Blast" during this panel, you could hear how long she held out the last word.) Lol. Love her!
It's great seeing most of them, but Stephanie Morgenstern is MIA, due to working on Camp X. But the panel was great, nonetheless.

Oh my word. So far, Karen's getting quite the reception. I'm so glad. As you said, this officially marks her first appearance at a con. I've NEVER been able to find footage of her anywhere, which is understandable. Not until now.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon RPG I noticed that, too. When the fan had asked them to recite a few phrases, I wasn't familiar with 1-2 of them. When they got to Karen, I kind of had that uh-oh feeling lol. It's only natural that she'd have a slight memory lapse, but we won't forget how well she carried the character.
It always felt powerful and enthusiastic. VERY talented voice actress. :]
where was Stephanie? I thought she was in this panel and at the Expo this weekend?

I was the Serena cosplayer who asked the first question (AKA Katie). Thank you so so so much for uploading the entire video! I was really nervous to get up there, but I'm so glad I did! Definitely a highlight of my life and I can watch it over and over. :)

I will always love Linda as Sailor Moon. The whole cast is amazing, and will always be a happy memory, but I'm so stoked for the new cast.

Linda Ballantyne is sooo comical! I can understand why she was cast as the voice of Usagi/Serena for the Cloverway versions of Seasons 3 and 4. She practically epitomizes Usagi/Serena's goofiness! I'll bet she could even pass for a professional stand-up comedian! I like those shirts that she and Karen are wearing, by the way.
And Jennifer, you are such an excellent singer. Thank you so much for doing your musical performances in Sailor Moon. I LOVE "The Power of Love"! That's a nice-looking dress that your wearing, by the way.

That is me @ 27:53 (and again leaving @ 29:12, in the San Diego Chargers jersey) - it was a blast to meet them all! My 13-year old self would not get any sleep being starstruck at meeting all of these people; while I had seen some anime before, Sailor Moon was the one that got me into the anime fandom for good; 14 years later, it's been an awesome friendship that has lasted me a lifetime.
Oh, and to those interested: Can you guess which line each character says is from in my question? :)

I don't know whether it's the guy filming or one of his friends, but his chatter is really distracting and it definitely pulls me out of the panel. ; v ; Which is unfortunate, because I missed this panel at AX.
I was hoping I wasn't the only one who noticed this! LOL
The chatter is very annoying, especially when he talks over the panelists. I wish he just shut the hell up.

Amazing, seeing all the original English cast of Sailor moon, and hell yeah sailor moon got me into anime, sailor moon is dear to my heart for the love of anime and manga
I really cried when Linda was in this panel with the 1995 cast. Where is Terri Hawkes?
I'm so glad Jennifer Cihi had moment. I was getting worried that she would just sit there silently the entire time. I know a lot of people don't like her but she was still a fave part of the experience for me.
I agree, it was good that she got a bit in there, plus I liked hearing her sing "My Only Love" after all these years.
I don't know why so many people are complaining about him talking during the panel. It adds something to it.

It was really lame of that guy at 14:18 to plug his own website during this panel. I was sitting in the same area that you were filming from and there was some audible groans.
Shameless self-promotion. That's not all that goes on either. Yesterday, a voice actor complained about fans deliberately getting their autographs to make a profit off of them on Ebay and such. They felt taken advantage of. I don't blame them. You get an autograph, because you're a fan of their work.
NOT to make money off of them.

Did anyone thought it felt awkward that most of the old cast came to the convention... at the same time the new voices were announced? I'm sort of afraid if someone in the crowd asked about that.

DesuUsagi Tracey Moore did all of 13 episodes, at one point I had even forgotten that Terri Hawkes wasn't the first sailor moon because I hadn't rewatched the first season in years and years. I know Linda wasn't everyone's fav sailor moon voice and that her interpratation of the character became rather different than Terri's and Tracey's but you know what after a while I came to really like her. Just because an actor wasn't the first or your fav voice for a certain character doesn't mean they don't belong at a convention. Linda put in just as much work into the series as Terri Hawkes did.
TooCooFoYou Wrong. Terri Hawkes voiced the most for Sailor Moon and she was the best!

I wonder how many people there actually dislike the dub or the voices. Would be totally ironic. Especially since Mary Long gets so much hate for her 'Molly' voice. And Linda Ballantyne as well (I don't like her Serena voice at all still :( ).
I was waiting for someone to say it. Yeah, I don't like Linda as Serena either. ;P I actually saw a post where someone stated that her and Terri Hawkes sound exactly the same. I just facepalmed.

they sounded fine here, so i think the dubbed voices was just lack of experience and too much overacting. :/

@@magsisgay Terri still sounds the same as she did when she dubbed Serena/Usagi/Sailor Moon. So she can still redub her, if she wants to. 💜
The only voice actor I liked was the one who did Artemis. Otherwise I despise the first English dub.

It has been 20 years so their voices would have changed a bit since 1995 and so whilst some may sound the same others would have changed, take Belle (Paige O'hara) she stopped being Belle because her voice was getting a bit too old now and not sounding like the original Belle whereas we have people like Jody Benson (Ariel/The Little Mermaid) who, after all these years, still sound like the Ariel we all know and love so age can make a voice change unfortunately which means that whilst I would LOVE to see these guys reprise their roles it is best they don't.

Linda was the worse Sailor Moon voice actress. Terri was way better although Tracey's voice fit the character's age and appearance better. But Linda is gorgeous. She's smoking :)
