Heal tempest is also very underatted in fractal. It has all the boons that you can dream off, 3 stabs (EotS, earth staff 3 if you run it and self stab in overload earth), aegis, wipe prevention, downstate management. Same thing applies to Druid, it has less stab but bigger burst heal, aegis, cc and even better downstate management.
The greatest perk of an alac healer is that they can be paired with a quick DPS Herald or Firebrand, and those two are currently the strongest boon supports in the game at the moment.
I run Healalac Scourge which also does really well.
I honestly don't play ele that much at all. I have two of them but my playtime is sub 400 hours combined. I think low boon radius is really the only problem they have as an alac/quick option.
Another thing worth noting is that if you are playing a good build reasonably well, and are struggling in T3s, its because the lack of a proper group composition. You'll find T4s will be a lot easier, so don't be afraid to step up a tier asap.
yup T3 is worst tier cuz most of ppl ware carry to that lvl so when they go solo in lfg they got no idea what to do and why
@@TH-camChillZoneT3 is horrible 😂
nice
So nice
Coming back into the game after 2 year break its nice to find this video for some new builds and stuff
Nice im recently comeback to gw2 as well just climb to t4
Welcome back! T4s are great I run them almost daily!
You got my like at 5:20 with the depiction of average looking dps player
Did first time T4 two days ago, went in as a reaper DPS, since we had a healer. We got wiped several times until I switched to Hscourge and just carry the team , full clear without 1 wipe. Pretty fun.
Hscourge is great, my most recent video was highlighting it, though I showcased raids it works well in T4/T4CMs as well.
I picked reaper, its my first character, when/how can i change to scourge? It really fucked my up when i realized id picked the wrong choice as i primarily heal my friends.
@@SilhouetteGaming1Wait why would Reaper not work though? It’s a very decent dps, if the team has a good healer, it should be fine, no?
@rayhoodoo847 yeah reaper is fine, recommend power reaper for 98 onwards
Heal alacrity scourge! Best imho! Can give aegis, can res ppl quickly, might, fury, even stability + barriers and heals.
The build is fine but the aegis snake is quite unreliable and Trail of Anguish is just bad.
I love heal scourge too, but it's too niche to really fill everything. Relies on the remaining classes in the party/subgroup to fill the gaps
What makes renegade good in fractals but not in other places? Heard a lot of ppl say that but I've never played it myself
Renegade has high DPS on its condi alac and access to high amounts of CC. The rotation is pretty high APM so when playing mechanist vs ren most people like the easier playstyle. It's a skill learning curve thing more than the class not being good. In all instanced content renegade can be very valuable.
It's because of access to stability on Jalis, easy upkeep on alacrity on F4 which can be precast at mistlock, massive CC on staff5 and darkrazor, and finally a very strong power burst on short phases (~5-10s).
It's not so good in raids for example because once the phases get longer the sustained dps on power ren falls off quickly compared to other alac dps options.
Why did you ignore the fury and prot that herald has?
I didn't want to do a full deep dive into each possible class build. In future videos I will be more thorough with the explanations. Thanks for the criticism! I'll put it to use!
I think you made the gap between the 'meta' builds and other strong builds sound a little too wide. If I didn't know better I would've thought I needed to start over gearing for fractals because I chose the wrong profession.
I am working on a video about account progression and gearing now. It is definitely easier to PUG if you can fill meta roles, the only real hard requirement is 150 AR but even that can be a suggestion in the pro-pro scene.
One addition if i may - although the HFB is a stable in the healer department and its very good you were not very accurate with heal herald. Heal renegade is lacking but herald is extremely strong right now
Its heal output is even higher than HFB - you just need to switch to ventari in the critical moments😅
He can burst heal anything in CMs and its one of the easiest to play there
Its boon range is also an extreme plus over the HFB or other healers because if people need to move a lot the 600 range nearly always hits!
Only exception is CM98 at the first boss with the island around - there the ventari stability is not fast enough to trigger because you need it instantaneously but for all other encounters its easy sailing
Most import thing for a healer…dont try to dps…you are really bad at it anyway; leave that to the dps and concentrate what you are here for…healing, boons and utility
thats true HB advanteg is only in aegis so you got room to f up mechanics more but overal herald beter clas especialy if you put him whit alac scurge together party cant die at this point xd
The problem is Herald lacks access to constant stability unless it also takes Jalis, but if its taking Jalis its losing ventari which is a lot of their healing. for HFB taking extra stability costs nothing. For fast clears you need a constant stream of stability, not just once off moments. 97 and 98 CMs have a ton of knockdowns during the whole fight, giving your group constant stability means they don't get knocked and they don't have to avoid anything knocking them around, meaning more dps overall. Thats just for CMs, a lot of other fractals also have knockdowns and special skips a firebrand with a white mantle portal can do.
I'm not bashing on herald, its great and pretty much any team comp can clear all fractal content, its just HFB fills a lot on its own for fractals specifically so its the best in slot.
@@jellybean24787 fully understood that you do not want to bash anything - I also did not mean to indicate it neither 😊
Nonetheless herald can give stability on Ventari with its elite skill as long as its empowered
And you can replicate that one after another by resummoning the tablet
Its just important to be aware if the 2 second activation timer but a good healer knows when he must cast the skills beforehand
No critics or anything - just an additional piece of information 😎
(I am an HFB main btw ☺️ )
@@Cross_111 If you really want a constant stream of stability, your team composition should look like this:
- Heal Quick Firebrand
- Alac Willbender (F3 active effect)
- 3 DPS Spellbreakers (Stalwart Strength)
This team also has an overwhelming amount of CC and boon stripping lol.
I think heal herald is great for fractals, it is just not the classic meta. It's stability is pseudo on demand, but not instant which requires the player to be extremely familiar with the fights. Typically CM groups run HFB even on 100CM. I think you are correct overall though it is very strong especially in comparison to its previous iterations.
Is druid not worth taking any more?
It is at lower levels, and even at T4s but for the most part the healer role is better suited by HH, HFB, HAM, or Heal Scourge depending on the rest of your group comp. I don't think it's bad, but if you were going to gear a ranger for fractals I'd gear up a power soulbeast.
Bring One Heal mech, One quick herald, 3 rifle mechs. Walk through T4.
Very true. I'm working on a CMs guide. Since pugs can be unpredictable it's best to try to hard carry
@@SilhouetteGaming1 oh for CM’s just add competent next to heal mech and herald
Oh rifle mech still a thing ? I see none of them recently and was worried as I'm about to play one.
If you got a build to share it would be very kind of you
5:19 😂
No lies detection 😏
I play condi virtuoso and I never found a problem. I always find grps and it's fairly easy not that hard to do t4, keep in mind that I'm new to t4
Condi virt is great. Currently one of the best builds in the game.
What is that black aura in your character sorry newbie
No problem bro, it's the Abyssal Infusion gotten from Fractal scale 99 Challenge Mode, you can get it as a drop or purchase it with fractal currency later.
Pfft, just bring heal alac scourge and every fractal becomes childs play 😂
I'll be covering heal alac scg here soon in a video! I think it's a great build.
Obligatory back in my day... what was a healer? xD i usually play power or condi quickness herald and a friend loves machinist, so usually we just grab any 3 deeps and good to go. T4 seem pretty chill tbh now.
They are, I kept seeing threads on reddit pop up about them I had to make a video. I'm an 11 year player so I'm familiar with the no healer no dps meter dungeon meta bleeding into fractals back in the day lol
