No doubt Brian Shaw is a beast and has the size, strength & frame to become a serious contender in the super heavyweight division, IF he devotes serious time & energy towards armwrestling specific training, table practice and acquiring more experience actually competing in armwrestling matches (with all the ready goes, false starts, fouls, straps vs no strap, set up strategies, dealing with hand/ arm pump, knowing how/ when to set up & counter for hook, top roll, press, etc. etc.) Right now, Brian Shaw is a beginner and candidly, despite his immense size and strength, basically any of top 20 guys in the lighter 105 & 115kg divisions would absolutely destroy Shaw at this point in time. He will need a fair bit more time, technique and understanding how to apply his strength in the armwrestling specific movements before he will be able to pose any real challenge to the top seasoned super heavyweight arm wrestlers.
