David, I was actually looking for this lesson about the blue notes. I heard about the two notes to add to the a minor pentatonic scale to give it more flavor, how ironic I found it here today on your channel… also if I may, could you please tell me what digital delay pedal you are using and the settings?
Another great video! Love your enthusiasm, and how you tie music theory to our *ears*. Also really appreciate your emphasis on musicality rather than 'shred' or disconnected (but impressive) technique. (Anyone who listens to your 'Evolving Seeds of Glory' album will quickly realize you have both at your disposal, and why Jennifer Batten refers to you as a 'fantastic player' and 'monster' guitarist.) There were a few points in this video that were a bit reminiscent of Phil Keaggy, a guitarist who epitomizes an incredible array of technique subordinated to an exquisite musicality. Not the first time I've felt that way going through your teaching materials, which from my perspective is not only a big compliment but a testimony to the effectiveness of your musical outlook and teaching.
Hi David! is the backing track that you used on this video available in the backing track packages that you have? I couldn't seem to find it but probably just missed it somehow. Thanks.
Salut David, merci pour tes videos, c'est quel backing track que tu utilises pour cette video ? Le nom, que je la retrouve plus facilement sur ton site. Merci d'avance. 🙂
Don't learn pentatonics. Learn arpeggios (with 7th on top). With arpeggios, you have all the chord tones (1-3-5-7) and all the other notes are one or two frets away.
