Do we mollycoddle our children ? When mine were that age i still had a guard on my cooker to stop them from getting burnt or pulling a pan over onto themselves.

my idea is, you get these low level "injuries" and instead of wondering, ( hey this gun looks fun" or "i should use this knife" or "lets jump off this moving car" and risk death, theyll be knowledgable about hwo atleast a cat scratch feels, or a rollerblade scrape feels, be armed with the knife/gun/vehicle safety, and be able to scale the pain and make non life threatening decisions, and be able to appropriately decide risk v reward.
