2nd comment on this by me, because I‘m now totally enthused, and ready to jump for this. I backed the original TWA, and can‘t wait to get my fingerpickin‘ hands on this new marvel…
I love my version 1. I'm so excited about v2. I simply play better when I'm using it, because I can employ expressive nuance. I can't wait to get the new unit.
I sure wish I would’ve known about the kickstarter I would have ordered it a lot sooner. Just came across the TWA2 yesterday from a TH-cam video, and pre-ordered it as soon as I saw the video. Hopefully that doesn’t put me too much down the line of when I will receive it. I live in AZ. Wink, wink, lol! I will definitely be using it for live performance as I am the worship leader in my church. I hope it won’t be too long before you add a looper. I have other guitars (electric)with apps that have loopers via the app and the best one also sells a small Bluetooth pedal that controls the looper and some of the effects, so that might be an option you might want to consider? Of course with those guitars I still need to bring an amp or powered speaker to hear them. When you do do the looper, having some basic drums with it would also be great! Anyways, thank you for the Q&A here. You guys rock!
@ Thank you, I’m sure I be very happy with the TWA2. I do have one more question I haven’t been able to find the answer to. What is the dimensions ( the size ) of the XBrace? I have a second acoustic that might not have a hole big enough to install it. Just a want to make sure it will fit before I purchase the extra XBrace. Thank you!
Hi, we weren't initially sure if it was a possibility but we've since discovered a looper on TWA2 is a possibility and something we'll work toward as a firmware update.
It would be very cool to have support for loading custom IR for the reverb, or even just for the output channel, in order to be able to improve the direct sound from piezos and match the body of a specific guitar. I think even some acoustic preamp makers are starting to do things like that, as it can make it feel as if the guitar was being recorded through a mic rather than pickup. Astonishing difference. Any chance that's feasible?
Best! Live! Stream! Ever! To clarify, what is the output of the tonewood 2 into a mixer or PA? Mono? I was just wondering if you could get these effects in STEREO? What about the Tonewood amp Solo? Also when the 2 is released will the solo still be available for a lower price? say If I wanted to get it for one of my travel guitars, or for a guitar that i'm using at home and not Live? Thanks guys. Also to Mike, when that next album comes out, I'll be buyint it in the first 30 seconds.
The output is mono on both the first and second TWA2. We don't plan to continue to manufacture the first TWA but we'll likely have discounted open box units for a bit!
the only thing I regret about the 1st gen solo is not getting it sooner. Backed the 2nd gen kickstarter. Speaking of suggestion (maybe in tonewood amp3😛),it would be nice to see midi or even widi, then we can use some kind of expression pedal and get whammy and manual wah onboard🤩
So funny-I started using my TW1 again after years, and now I'm receiving news about the TW2?! I'm super excited for the Feedback Eliminator. That was my only real problem with the orignal.
That is awesome about adding modulation to the reverb. Is there an option for tape echo/wobble sounds under any of those mods? If not, I’m officially putting this forward, as a suggestion. 😉😎
I've gone early bird on Kickstarter. Suggestions for effects - which is a bit previous cause I've not even got it yet lol! - but "Slow Gear" effect would allow big, long delay reverb for synth/choral style pads to be used, maxing out the verb and drlay but stoping it becoming a mess, keeping the actual guitar note attack clean. Second, Octaver for some Jon Gomm-i-ness but also faux 12 string - 5ths present interesting chordal opportunities as well. Back on the Choir pad stuff - a formant filter in the EQ? Ooo and Aaah style reverbs. Formant delay could be interesting - go slap back fomant delay for scat style quick riffs. Failing a formant filter a cocked wah style resonant filter may get interesting results
1) Which of Mike‘s pickups is being feed to the TWA? (EDIT a few minutes of viewing later: He’s using the magnetic pickup - not the piezo. So that accounts for part of the great sound.) 2) For feeding a signal to FOH, is there a way to add a bit of transparent compression to the dry signal before it hits the effect blocks and goes out?
Hello Tonewood, I am a completely blind guitar player, I have the original Tonewood amp. I am just wondering with the Tonewood to if the phone app is accessible for us, blind people which would probably make it a little bit easier for us to change the settings and interact with the device, any information would be greatly appreciated, peace and blessings from the blind guy. 25:23
I was just wondering that too. IF you could enlighten me on your management of the Solo indipendently, that would be cool. I'm also completely blind. (ROP)
maybe you already have an built in application or accessibility for sight impairment.. it might tell you which setting you touching on the display screen.
@ hello Melissa,, sorry I haven’t gotten back in touch until now, are use Be My Eyes a good little bit when it comes to playing with the device, sometimes they also use a friend to help me set up the parameters, and then I just run with it. Hopefully, the tone would too, with the phone app will give us a whole lot more freedom to where we can make certain adjustments by ourselves, independently. Peace and many blessings from the blind guy.

I love my Tonewood amp. It’s the best thing I’ve ever purchased. I have a question. How can this app integrate with other software on the iOS iPadOS platform for example a DAW or -AUv3 Host. If this was an AUv3 plug-in, that would be amazing. ✌🏽❤️🤘🏽🙏🏽

My high-school (former bandmate) buddy from London (who I haven't seen in decades) visited the USA and heard my ToneWoodAmp1. Needless to say, my TWA1 is now in London. I am certain to purchase Version2! Damn, why does this need to be funded on Kickstarter? Venture capitalists are idiots - the TWA2 is stunning! By the way, my acoustic guitar, a cheap ordinary Fender dreadnought - AFTER using the TWA1 - now sounds tremendous (even without the unit attached)! I think the TWA1 vibrated or exercised the front and back of my dreadnought as if it has 5 or 10 years of constant playing. The sound is like I am playing a CF Martin

TWA2 does have compression, let me check on the routing of the compression for you.

Foot switch capable?
Something we're considering. Bluetooth would make it possible.
@ToneWoodAmpMagic that would be great! Not sure how good for live without that.
Just wondering if a Bluetooth pedal could be used to control the app ?

@@brendanrose542 This is a possibility and we'll be working on it after the TWA2 is released!
Can I still use the Midi Guitar and the SampleTank apps as with the 1st amp?
It won't have a 3.5mm insert jack but we're exploring similar functionality via Bluetooth.
Are the controls on the TWA2 more intuitive or easier to set up than the TWA1?
Where in Nashville are you? I’d love to come check it out and meet you.
Is there any mellow distortion for a gritty acoustic slide guitar?
It’s pretty neat to have the app use Bluetooth, but I hope that the Bluetooth can be turned off from the device. 🤞🏽✌🏽❤️🤘🏽
