      @@makariussulit Hi, that is a good question. I mainly deal with lithium batteries and Not Acid or Gel batteries. It's not recommended to charge lithium batteries below 32 degrees! You need to know which battery chemistry your bike has and look up the manual, that is your best bet so you don't damage your battery. I hope that helps. The type of battery is usually stated on itself, AGM means Gel, and of course Acid has been around forever. Thanks.

    So you're just gonna tell people to attach the negative lead first? That's gonna make someone think they can do that when it's installed on a car and cause a short... ALWAYS connect positive first then negative, when disconnecting, disconnect negative first then positive. It says so in the manual which you have literally right in front of you... Come on man...

      With a smart charger it doesnt matter. Its not like the old school chargers. If you connect them backwards (polarity)it will not even harm anything. If anything you will pop the inline fuse. But that wont even happen

    Using battery charger at relatives house. No instructions any where around. You were my instructions. Thanks so much. One question, do you normally disconnect the battery from the machine when you are charging? I would hate to send a high current through the machines circuits if that is what the charger does.

      Hi, I like t to select the type of battery on the charger as soon as I connect it to the battery, I mean we are talking no more than a minute, but of course you can select the mode then connect it to the battery. I don't think it matters if you connect the red one or black one first as I have heard it from mechanics that it really doesn't matter as long as you don't switch them around. Thanks for watching.

      As soon as you hook it up to the battery and plug it in it will automatically switch over to the battery you have. My battery was completely dead and this thing charged it but then maybe an hour and a half but it didn't give it enough juice for me to be able to start the vehicle again.. even after a 70 mph road trip for 30 minutes after charging I was hoping my alternator would have to finish it off the charger but it never does.. it only gives you enough juice to start the car or truck. It goes from the lower light at the top red to Green within 2 hours it's letting you know it's charged when it is green. So I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have changed the battery over night as well. So it's weird. It's more a jump starter

    So I have two batteries that are completely dead and I have tried this device three times and it only gives me enough juice to start my car one time. As soon as I shut the vehicle off, its dead again! I have a good alternator so I know that is not the issue. It's very frustrating it goes from being in the red to the green light within an hour and a half sometimes faster but it never fully charges my battery do you know how I do that slow charge that you're talking about or repairs and fully charges my battery? I have even left it on overnight. I have a 12 volt lithium battery both batteries are lithium batteries

      Hi, this is a 2amp charger, as there are other ones they make that charge faster. But if you had a 40 ah battery, it would take about 20 hours to fully charge. So you have to find out how many amp hours your battery is and do the math. Hope that helps.

    BATTERY CHARGED
    so it’s ready for electric and Remote Start. Question do you know if Generator Batteries are 6v? That’s my thoughts, I’m hoping you can confirm. Is that possible? Next thing I have to see is what size is the Eyelets that you unscrew that you mentioned. I would love to unscrew them from alligator clips, mount them permanently to battery. Then I have to see size of terminals on battery.

      Hi, honestly I haven't touched any gas generators only lithium power stations so for that I would Google the model number of your unit or look in the manual to see what type of battery it has so you don't end up damaging by accident. Yes, this charger can charge 6v and 12v batteries. I am personally not a fan of alligator clips either, I think using the connectors is much easier especially with these chargers that come with a quick disconnect, although I am not sure what size the ring terminals are, but I did remove the alligator clips with an allen wrench though at a parts store. I hope this helps you out and thanks for the nice words too, best of luck to you sir.

      Hi, it's important that you set the type of battery on the charger as soon as you connect it to the battery, whether it's a 6v,12v, Sealed acid, Gel, lithium or such type of chemistry so you don't damage your battery or cause other problems. If your battery isn't taking a proper charge, then I would have it checked at an auto parts store. Best of luck and thanks for watching too.

      You were looking for the Noco Boost, which is a back up battery jump starter. This 2D model is best used for keeping your battery charged when sitting for long periods, or during very cold periods which can drain a battery.
      I use a Viking emergency jump box from Harbor Freight and has helped me numerous times. It will hold 100% for 3-6 months before having to recharge it.

    for some reason on my Genius2 I had to hold the mode button for like 7 seconds which is Force mode and then all LED's light up and then hit mode again to toggle between the various charging options. The directions don't mention having to do that when you first use the charger. The instructions state to just press the mode button to toggle between charging options, which for mine was only the case after long pressing the mode button. Once I did this the first time, it does remember the mode and then I can toggle it with a single press. But again at first I had to do the 7 second press to get it off standby mode, nothing else would do the trick. Was this how yours behaved?

    • @ReviewsandTech
      @ReviewsandTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, no mine worked in standard mode when I first plugged it into my battery, was your battery completely drained before doing so? And yes it does have a memory mode feature, so you don't have to choose type of battery every time. From my knowledge, Force mode is only needed when battery is completely drained or very low on voltage.

    • @DustinBoden
      @DustinBoden ปีที่แล้ว

      That means that the voltage of your battery was too low to detect so you had to use force mode to get it going. Now that you've done this it most likely has a detectable voltage and won't need to be force charged anymore.

      Hi, I haven't had to charge a dead battery yet, although I use it on lithium batteries and not lead acid batteries, and since this a slow charger it will take longer than faster rapid chargers out there, but this will give you a longer battery life cycle at the sametime. These only give you enough power to start the car or truck and that is it! Every time i charge tje battery that is dead, it charges fast but if i shut off the car or truck i am back to having to charge it again. It doesn't fully charge a dead battery. Making it a jump starter only. I have tried three different batteries and it only gives you just enough to start that is it! Even after a 30+ minutes highway speed of 70 miles an hour didn't charge my battery fully enough to start the car again. My alternator is new so that isn't tje problem either.
