    Very interesting video! The boggy area where you picked the berries resembles the Cranberry Bogs near Marlinton , West Virginia. Many thanks for sharing this with us. 🙂

      You are very welcome Mrs. Cracker, thank you for leaving a message and for watching our video. Picking berries is one of my favourite relaxing pastimes in the summer, our cranberries are on low ground here and dry ground. I have a video of picking them by a beautiful light house I will share you the link.,th-cam.com/video/r3cK_B67mxA/w-d-xo.html Enjoy Bonita

    How long do you keep the raw ones in the jar until there good to make into jam

    • @bonitaskitchen
      @bonitaskitchen  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keegan Parrill thank you for your message and visiting my channel, when preserving Bakeapples you will need to wait until they are a peach colour. This may take a few weeks after you bottled them, but keep them in the fridge until you eat or make something from them. Thanks and enjoy Bonita

      wait until they are fully ripe before you pick them and you can truly enjoy the very best bakapples. A bakeapple picker for over 40 years. its the reason we get $100 + a gallon

    I never heard of Bakeapple berries before! I thought your Bakeapple jam was made from "Baked Apples!" LOL

      That is so cool, bake apples is a tiny little peach coloured berry that looks like a raspberry in shape. They are sour to eat raw but is lovely in desserts, jams and jellies. Thank you for your message and for stopping by. :) Bonita

    What a shame...picking and bottle bakeapples before they are ripe. No wonder you said they had not much taste. if you wait for another 2 weeks until they are soft you will have juicy delicious bakeapple jam like they do in Labrador. Utterly shameful...you don't know bakeapples unless you've tried Labrador Bakeapples.
