I read Half in Love many years ago. It remains my most meaningful, hopeful, and empowering literary experience. As a “Writer”, Linda Gray Sexton is “underrated”, personified. But, as a philosopher, storyteller, healer, and creative master, she’s obviously cherished. Just look at these comments. I doubt any living writer receives so much love.
Linda you are the most amazing woman I have ever met. You are the most genuine soul with the biggest and generous soul. I am so grateful to know you and be able to hear your story here. I look forward to all of your books and newsletter!
Thank you for this. My only comment is that children in the same family have often very different take on their parents. This is partly due to the fact that parents do not treat all their children the same way. Anne Sexton told her side of the story as she saw it. If her sibling disagreed with her, then they should have told their side of the story. I don't think it's fair to blame Anne Sexton for telling it like it was for her. I must also mention that Linda is a remarkable woman and a survivor. I met her once and she was genuine and kind. She is a treasure.
