Yes She should Stay on that show and Fight It would be nice to see her grew up in the show all the way to the last season. But they do not do that. Now she's older now she can make her own show.
JoMarie fought with higher ups to try & keep Jamiee on the show. No other cast member fought for Jamiee on the show. JoMarie was the only one who was on Jamiee's side. I admire JoMarie for that.
I remember an interview (I can't remember who it was with) where Jamiee's mom was negotiating her contract and demanded more money than the producers thought she was worth, and she refused to budge.

I have mixed feelings about the cast members speaking up. But as far as the reruns are concerned, I think that we as viewers should not support watching any reruns. The people behind the scenes don't realize that the actors and actresses are receiving the attention and also the blame simply because the actors and actresses are out front. Getting rid of Judy was done in poor taste. They could have at least re-cast the "Judy" character.

But I currently am enjoying a rewatching binge watching of Family Matters and I’m sorry that first Urkel lacking season was hard to get through, they’re just weren’t funny. It would have been canceled, and I hated hearing how much of a tyrant Jaleel was behind the scenes. But respect has to to be given, that show would have been canceled without Jaleel!
I can tell you exactly what would have happened to Family Matters if Jaleel White hadn’t joined the cast. The show would have been over after the first season. The excs at ABC were already telling the producers if ratings don’t pick up, the show would have been cancelled after its first season. Then the character of Urkel came along and brought those ratings and is the single biggest reason why the show lasted 9 seasons. Sorry but the Winslow family by themselves were boring and NOT funny. I’m currently rewatching the series on Hulu, that first half season that had no Urkel (other than the cold openings that they added later in syndication to add more Urkel in those episodes that didn’t originally feature him) was really hard to get through.

Judy should have been there for family events or holidays or when the family went on trips and vacations or at least explained her absence.
