Now that you are playing the season C, I have a suggestion for my "hometown nation" of Cilli... Since its flag consists of stars and red and white stripes, you should use them to form another nation with that type of flag - United States (also completing the "Dont Be Cilli" achievement on the way)
Pretty much every group of natives in both South and North America were also colonizers and slavers themselves though. Taking your neighbor's territory by force and enslaving their people was just the way of the world back then
Chagatai: Last heir to the Great Khan. You are the last surviving successor of the Great Mongol State, all others have fallen apart. You don't have to fully restore it if you don't want, but for a challenge, get some of the most remote provinces needed for the Empire. Canton, Nanjing, Hormuz, Kyiv, Kirkuk, Buteha, Siwi, Edisanas and Kuznetsk.
imagine being a corsican under castilian rule and finding out you are free and independent from some country you never heard of in a part of the world you didn't know existed until probably like 20 years before that lol imagine castile explaining that to the other countries in Europe like dude they can't even go on a ship to Europe to beat you up why free corsica lol
@@manuelgegundez6154 Assuming you didn't already break your save, you can switch back to previous patch by 1. Go to Steam Library 2. Right-Click EU4 and select "properties" 3. Click "Betas" on the list in the left side and select the previous patch.
The beginning where you talked about Castile coming around reminded me of one of my failed Sunset Invasion runs, where the Old World nations didn't show up in the new world until the 1630s, and when I finally got vision (yes, i explored them before they ever explored me, also, Colonialism never spawned until the 1630s), I saw why: 1) Aragon had conquered Castile and formed Spain but kept Aragonese ideas 2) Tlemcen had conquered Portugal and Morocco 3) Ireland and Wales owned the British Isles 4) France was split between Brittany, Provence, and Brabant 5) Russia was a mega powerhouse who owned all of Scandinavia and most of Siberia 6) the nation who finally spawned colonialism and began colonizing the new world was Korea The reason this was a failed run is because of the 4 nation alliance that were only allied all to each other of Russia, Wales (who owned London), Spain, and Tlemcen.
To answer your question about moving boats across land, while I agree it could be an interesting feature, I'd argue the the Panamanian Isthmus and Darien Gap wouldn't be possible at that time. Even today no roads go through Darien from Central to South America due to the sheer density of jungle and dangerous conditions
fun thing I learned when playing Inca is Don't get too much mil-tech just because you have the points I'd probably recommend developing a province instead because once you have the miltech for cannons as an unreformed inca you can't use cannons. But do you know who can? The blasted rebels from pushing reforms they can spawn with cannons.
See, what we call the Incan Civilization was far more advanced than other south american tribes. They had their own "writing" system, a network of trade roads that went as far as São Paulo stte (Brazil), a very developed agricultural system, a religious/royalty structure that had them sociologically way closer to europeans than you think. Yet, they fell so easily to Spain because the Incas were actually only the royal family and its direct subordinates. Think of it like a Habsburg family located in the Cuzco region, but enslaving all the other peoples. So the spanish pretty much needed only a single war victory and a royal marriage, then all the lands that used to be Inca suddenly became Spanish! The enslaved people didn't really see it much as an invasion, it was more like a lordship change. There are even family trees in Cuzco museums that show the whole lineage, which a branch when some spanish became their king, 13th or something like that I think.
Very interesting. Walter Rodney wrote the book “How Europe underdeveloped Africa” and he talks in the book about how different civilizations didn’t form for example capitalism but Europeans did. We usually believe that the other civilizations were “lesser” and underdeveloped but that’s largely based on racism and the effects of colonialism, as you showed.
I'd really like a Philippine Tiger run. The campaign would be hard and painful and long but I would really enjoy the product. It would be a longer video of course, maybe about 45 minutes if you cut out a lot of the uninteresting stuff, but I would be so down for it. The video would gain traction because it'll be the longest A to Z yet.
I have an idea for Trebizond. Trabzon and Rize (Basicly prpvince of Trebizond in game) are the most tea producing areas in Turkey . My idea is you need to get 4 tea province from china to complete chalange.
Chagatai... if you cut the middle pieces out you get Chai, which is a kind of tea. So with this tea country, go conquer London while you own a tea province. Seeing as how tea is your only important trade good, you've foolishly pooled all your income into one trade good, so a bankruptcy is inevitable if one of the harvest seasons go bad.
Chai actually comes from a Chinese root word (and later Hindu) which literally just translates as "tea". Saying chai tea is just saying "tea tea". The type of tea that is often incorrectly called chai tea is called masala chai, or masala tea.
As Cebu, join the HRE and become Emperor. Context: Modern-day Cebu City has a festival called the Sinulog Festival, which celebrates the local people's convertion to Catholicism. The logo of this festival is the two-headed eagle of the House of Habsburg inside a Native Shield.
3:55 Thats a strategic blunder right there - someone declares on the target youre fighting, so you should... vassalize... the target of your war, thus getting yourself dragged into a war against the attacker of your vassal. Easiest double kill in history.
Form the Ilkhanate as Chagatai. Ideally it would be cooler to form the Timurids since Tamerlane came from Chagatai but the Ilkhanate is the next best thing
As chagatai conquer all the hordes at game start. You are the only true Mongol successor state so you need to prove it. As a further goal conquering the provinces required for the Mongol Empire without forming yuan the ilkhanate or the golden horde.
The Inca had human sacrifice but it was in a much lower level than the northern mesoamericans, it would usually be done in some special dates. The Maya would probably do it, any major celestial event would be considered a good time for sacrifice, the Aztec would be to busy sacrificing for some other reason to pay that much attention to the comet.
the Chachapoya is actually very interesting topic - there are some theories that the chachapoya are genetically linked with the old iberian celts and maybe old carthaginians. there's a book by hans gifforn on this subject where he presents some solid theories. I wouldnt have formed inca, as the chachapoyas were enemies of the inca. in my run (currently) I stayed chachapoya and trying the sunset invasion. year is 1580, have all of south america and half of the rest of the americas with vassal swarm and some provinces in north africa :- )
Not true that you cannot stop the AI from declaring when you get that notification. Getting strong allies can stop them, I have done so to the ottomans as Byz by allying Hungary just in time, they fought Candar instead. It is super hard to do as a native though.

I don't know if you would be able to do this but I had this as a goal one time in CK2 and it would be funny to see you attempt it in EU4. Conquer all of Germany and Russia as Poland.
Im not trying to start shit cuz man ive been binge watching your guides and videos for a while now and have tried a few myself so I know youre not completely bs-ing. But having said that, why is this video cropped? I just find it a little frustrating for some reason especially knowing some youtubers apparently cheat in their guides. I know Ludi or wtv has been called out for cheating and the way I see it just show the whole screen and itll be a lot more evident as well as being a LOT more aesthetically pleasing.
I finally tried to figure out the Humble Bundle thing... I just need Leviathan and Origins. And yet I'd have to buy EVERYTHING? I'm very confused and I know this isn't the place, but I mean, when else am I going to be thinking about EU4?

As Cebu you need to go for their unique achievement. Conquer the provinces of the former chola Empire.
18:17 you can easily see the Castilian fleet IS carrying troops and even how many by the "# 24" when you mouse over the fleet.
But in my Haida game, I had a Portugal that had PU'd England and a Spain allied to France. What a horrendous campaign, Spain brining over 100K troops.
18:18, the #24 after the numbers of ships means that there are 24 embarked units.

You could abridge the Phillipine Tiger by doing a "return home" version where you only conquer the Indian land.
Considering the fact that chagatai is one of the last fragments of the mongol empire, do your best to revive the mongol empire.
Red Hawk Videos are the highlights of my day.
I hope you like today's video!
Inti nations are my favorite to play, I find them so unique. I would never be able to play one of the northern nations lol
You DO know how many troops Castile has on those boats, becasue it's that number at the end of line. It says #24 so there is 24k troops.
