I can't figure out why I have a 36 mod limit on FS25 on PC. The mods won't even show up in game on the mod list, even though the zip files are in the mods folder. I can't find anything about it anywhere. Anybody know what's going on with that?
look in the game log it should tell you what is wrong with a mod or multiple mods. Sounds like you have some very bad mods causing issues. Take them all out and add them only a few at a time until you pin it down or look thru the log for information its in the same folder as your mod folder called log
@FarmerKlein Thanks. I think it was a bad map I installed and then deleted, so I just copied and pasted the original maps folder back into the game folder. Seems to be ok now.
@FarmerKlein Back up, in case I need to reset corrupted files. I don't move files from their original location. I use a virtual disc on my secondary hard drive and keep ISO disc images of games so I can access the original files any time I screw something up. I also back up my created music, mp3's and mp4's. Hard drive crashes are no fun.
@@deadbeat-vc9kg I still do not understand why you would be moving game files around when your working with a mod map. there is no reason to touch any game files just drop the zip of the map int the mods folder and load the game up.
so i dont get it, when you enter your game you can select what mods you would want to have, but i dont get that on my game, when i double tap my save it just goes straight into the game, i have done everything corecctly otherwise but i cant select what mods i would like to have when i double tap my save :/
i fixed the problem, i had winrar installed and the winrar made trouble with my zip files so once i uninstalled winrar form my computer and redownloaded the files for my mods it worked :)
@@nicklasjensen1112 Odd, maybe winrar was somehow changing the file type or something. I have had both winrar and 7zip as standard apps on my system for a long time but I am glad you got it situated.
you would have to buy anything that is put in the game as a mod unless the mod author made it ) cost but still you have to buy it. its not a free thing that shows up on your farm or at the shop to drive away.
hey farmer klein i’m having issues where i follow all the steps you show for the third party mods but they aren’t showing in my modhub but the mods that are from modhub show in the same folder so im very confused any help would be appreciated
anytime you have mod problems look in the game log under documents\my games\farmingsimulator2025\log.txt It should have information as to why it does not like your mod(s).
The only good thing about the scraping site is they show you what's been released. I have an ad blocker so they can't make ad rev and then search out the original location to download from. If I can't find the location I don't download it.
@audibell I did. Works perfect. It's a shy bit over 20 gigs. For the regular version. Not sure how many gigs for the yr sub though. Imo, 25 is a lot better than 22. Moders have already come out with shaders and a host of mods to download. You'll definitely need to mess with the graphics settings off the bat but once you get that fixed it's definitely fun. You'll want to download the "work anywhere" mod as these contracts only allow for 100% completion. Once it's 100% you can't finish the little bit left over or you can't bale after mowing as it'll be a whole new contract. Still fun though. Don't get stuck in the mud :-)

This is the best video about mods in FS25 I have come across. And I've watched a bunch of them
Thanks
I noticed if I find the local files through steam I won’t have a mods folder but if I go through file browser I have it
Thanks Farmer Klein

If no mods exist in your mod hub you wont get the mod selection process.
