  • In this video, we explore a crucial conversation about beauty standards that transcend borders. Dr Aminna passionately addresses the global trend of women using chemical treatments to conform to societal expectations, questioning the rationale behind harming oneself to mirror an oppressor's appearance. The message goes beyond mere criticism; it calls for a reevaluation of societal norms that place value on certain physical attributes rooted in white supremacist ideals. The video emphasizes that beauty is diverse and universal, appreciating every woman's uniqueness, regardless of ethnicity or shade.
Dr Aminna highlight her commitment to justice and challenge a system that often ties one's value to white supremacy. She discusses the depiction of divinity as a white man and how it perpetuates harmful stereotypes, urging viewers to question and reject such narratives. The video also touches on internalized beauty standards within communities, such as the misconception that certain features like curly hair are deemed undesirable. Dr Aminna challenges such notions, particularly within North African communities, urging a reconnection with cultural roots and a rejection of colonizer-imposed beauty standards. This perspective offers a unique insight into the ongoing struggle for women's rights, breaking away from conventional narratives and advocating for a more inclusive and authentic definition of beauty.

May Allah allow us to internalize within ourselves that we're beautiful and we don't need to show or flaunt our beauty to others. So many of us put makeup on just to show others the added beauty and if somebody appears in front of us without makeup we say 'if u would hv put a lil bit of makeup, you would look much beautiful'. The reason why we feel insecure without makeup is bcz we label people ugly who are without makeup. First we hv to bring change within ourselves and then Allah makes things easy for us to not care about what others say. May Allah make things easy for us and cleanse our hearts Aameen.

I think the problem is Most sisters doesn't like to hear the dakwah of what beauty is through Islam perspective...
Look how many muslim sisters on Instagram monetize make up tutorial's? Or Parading themselves, over sharing selfie during ibadah because doing so added followers and source of income of whatever money she made-
You are correct Muslimah is way too westernize- so much so they defend it-
I am personally feel sad, .. I am not here to change anyone and Allah only give hidayah to those He chose.. Our job is to seek the islam knowledge- with open mind for a change to better ourselves.

@zayedbinimran957 And why are these beauty products popular in the first place? For whom? Donot act like you doesn't know the truth how most of our men just focus on outer beauty most of the time.

@@Happy_Potato0 these products are popular because they were advertised by other women.
I think what your trying to say is why they were created in which I agree with your point.
But just because they were created for a reason doesn't mean they became popular for that reason.
