With the lancea control route, I decided to go 3 icejade, 2 abyssrhine and so far I think it's better. Since youre adding ran to your hand and not ss big fish, you would rather just see it in your hand more often then abyssrhine. Also, ran in your hand + a water is more useful than abyssrhine + a water because youre not locked to discard a mermail/atlantean. i.e Ran + Raiho in hand is atleast a Lancea + 3 cards. abyssrhine + Raiho you're cooked.
I realized the lancea control route is probably not the way to go lol. At least, without big fish. Locals was fun but lost some matches I felt like I probably should have won if I had some more gas in certain situations. FYI! I’ll be going back to my deck list I had a little bit ago !!
Lancea better be and extra option, not the main line. The strongest to get to is Coelacanth since works under droll too. If I can suggest you a channel to watch some deck profiles + feature matches, go see DeepseaYGO: the last 2 deck profiles (Deepsea King Turbo + the relative hybrid Lancea version) are very in-depth, combos are great and consistent.Also lots of techs to see.
Sorry Im new to mermails but want to get into them. What's the benefit of not having colencanth in deck? Is it just because it can be a brick? I thought he added a good amount value like playing under droll.

This was more of an experiment that I was trying and yes, the idea was that the big fish is helpful under draw amongst other things, but I wanted to try a heavier ice barrier package out and I decided against it in the end. However, I think Sean is better kept in and you should definitely run it. it gives you a lot of options and is worth the brick.
