Cast is liquid metal poured into a mold, forged is a heavy press that stamps a part out of a single piece of metal and billet is machined (CNC) out of a single billet piece of metal...for the love of God lol
One thing that's a fact - cast steel is brittle (brakes easily). That happens to cast aluminium as well. Billet aluminium is a purer alloy but this would not be it's main goal - to reach tighter tolerances and controlled predictable behavior. Quite honestly, I've experienced some dreadful fatiguing rides on a 2022 300 EXC. I would say a good part of this comes from the direct-non-flex cast triple clamps. Regardless of this, there's always the unpredictable behavior of X-Plor 48 forks (although better than my 2017 250 six days spain). Also, cast is cheaper, billet is more expensive (obvious).
If stock cast triples are so much weaker why would Robbie Maddison purposely choose stock clamps for Mongo jumps? The only clamps I've ever seen broken were billet clamps This stuff lives in your heads.
So we don't understand the differences between forged and cast triples and I'm expected to believe that you could tell a difference between clamps when riding? I guarantee no one can tell a difference
Ill give a better answer. No. Because if you aint q pro you wont feel the differance .....the guys above cant give a straight answer because fear of loosing sponsors......

Jimmy says Thanks. He forgets more than you ever knew. At least about motorcycle stuff!
If it were me, I'd never let that guy on the show again! He doesn't know up from down.
The bill at split clamps from WP and others actually have more Flex characteristic unless ovaline of the fork
