I loved this so much, you're the first youtuber I've been able to find who's reacted to this episode and therefore the first person I got to watch react to Eddie's introduction; and you did not disappoint. So happy to have you introduced to Maddie and Eddie and soon comes Best Diaz, so excited.
When your jaw dropped at the Eddie reveal I screamed in delight. I had the exact same reaction when he first appeared. This was a good episode for fan service, we got to see Eddie and Buck shirtless. Happiness. Going by what you said, it doesn't sound like you've been spoiled on anything. Except the Tsunami...but to be fair one of the most well known promo pics has the tsunami in the background...so...kinda unavoidable really? I guess? I wanna say this season is a roller coaster that doesn't get stuck...but I'm gonna have to rewatch it myself because its been a while. The guy from the bomb squad who said "cancel the robot" was a main character on Star Trek Enterprise, actually Trip is my fave on that show. LOL And the guy with the grenade in his leg was in the movie ConAir...think he was in a few episodes of Justified as well. Jennifer Love Hewitt was on a season of Criminal Minds...don't remember which season though. AND Eddie's actor was in one of the Step Up movies. As much as I love this show, I gotta say, still like Emergency! best. Not sure why. Maybe because its less dramatic? Maybe because it focuses on the rescues rather than the characters personal lives and drama? Maybe because I watched it first so it holds a bigger piece of my heart. Or at the end of the day I'd rather take Johnny Gage home than Buck? Who knows. XD Loved your reaction.

Between 9-1-1 Season 3 episodes 10 and 11, the spin-off series 9-1-1: Lone Star began, and if you think 9-1-1 is good at diverse representation, you haven't seen anything yet!

Okay, so, I am not intending to give any spoilers, but... because of your brief touch on your personal past..... Expect trigger risks for the next couple seasons because Maddie's story will likely hit close to home a lot. I will do the courtesy of not giving any details, just know.... seeing it through will be rewarding in the end. I just think you will benefit from a concept of an umbrella trigger warning spanning this and the next season....

Eddie and Buck don’t actually have a romance at all it’s more of a bromance. Which some people find disappointing but it has never been canon as both of the characters are written as straight.
I mean technically neither of them have had their sexualities specified, they've just only dated women. I don't particularly care whether they get together or not but just because characters have only dated one gender, doesn't mean they always will, especially since they've never explicitly stated it.

I think it’s been long enough that if they were bisexual it would have com up by now especially when Buck was dealing with being a sex addict. Within canon there has been nothing to indicate even the remote possibility. I know people ship them but they have never shown romantic interest in each other there have been like two jokes on the subject but mainly aimed at the audience and this isn’t a show that shys away from LGBTQ characters I just don’t think they ever intended people to ship them the way they do.
