DaleyTactics plays the brand new Halo Mod where 50 UNSC Marines hold VS 500 Covenant Grunts that are charging their defenses. This was made using the Call to Arms Halo Mod Battle Simulator

Most if not all UNSC infantry weapons are conventional same as today with slight advancements.
Actually most of the guns if not all are rail powered and have insane velocities + obviously better technology
The MA5B and MA37 (The Assault Rifles of Halo) is chambered in 7.62x54 I think.
The lore says the assault rifle is caseless which we technically have today. Albeit not perfected. The shotgun expels shell casings as does the pistol.

The grunts seem quite cute and funny from the visuals and audio of the newer halo games (from what I have seen from youtube). They are quite brave and are willing to sacrifice themselves certainly, but they are not against retreating in bad situations, but this isn't cowardice like jackals, more that they are slaves and don't really know how to fight. Kinda like battle droids, both sympathetic villains

jackals aren't really a coward. unless you get close to them sniper ones. but grunts are definitely cowardly. they run sometimes if you so much as shoot them. most of the time it's just because you got rid of an elite or brute. but their halo ce lines will definitely enforce that whole cute vibe they give off

Sadly that is not accurate to the game. It would be logical for the mod to stick with the game and not be possible.😢

They have done, but they removed the infection forms and carrier forms for whatever reason even though they worked fine, and yes it was as cool as you think.
I would suggest the battle "Tip of the Spear" from halo reach. That would be a good stater big battle!

Fun fact this is almost completely lore accurate aside from some of the environment pieces and that the Covenant weapons would do a lot more damage. Yes the Covenant did sometimes send out literally hundreds of Grunts before sending in Jackals, Skirmishers, Drones, Brutes, Elites, and Hunters. And sometimes Engineers
Sometimes, they'd also send in nothing but brutes or the storm branch
@@ahsoka_polo That’s very true. Brutes were the preferred shock trooper however if they needed their shock troopers to be alittle more tactical and let’s face it smarter they’d send in Grunts, Jackals, and Elites
@PackHunter117 That or the storm branch. Storm elite, jackals, and grunts. They excelled in their shock trooper roll. So much so that the Jackal Heavies are said to be the most dangerous Jackal.
@@ahsoka_polo Very true however the Jackal Heavy is a post war rank. I think they’re supposed to be veterans of the human Covenant war
some of the best land battles are on the Battle for Reach. Halo Reach.

The Grunts seemed to be OP at first, but then they started dying a lot. That warhog was very good with its cover and everything. That triple barrel gun looked SUPER cool...
One thing about the grunts is that they have like 2 days of training and are almost all like 2-3 years old so when you kill a grunt you’re killing a toddler

UNSC weapons mainly fire ballistics like 5.56 and 50. Weapons and vehicles such as the rail gun and gauss hog fire energy based/sonic projectiles
What weapons use 5.56? From what I’m aware 7.62 is the standard round
maybe the smg uses 5.56

@@duck_entertainment Yeah the assault rifle fired 7.62. The battle rifle fires 9.5x40mm which tbh idk what that even translates to. When I said 5.56 and 50 I was using it as a general term from our modern weapons. As for the rest of the weapons they are mainly kinetic and ballistic (UNSC).

THANKS DALEY! This is a beautiful mod, looking very Halo 4 ish. I will be eagerly awaiting upcoming battles! To answer your questions, the UNSC weapons are basically modern day weapons with better velocity and better projectiles. I.E, the rifle you fired fires a 7.62mm armor-piercing explosive round.

I LOVE THIS HALO VIDEO
The grunts are actually a lot tougher than they seem. They go down, from range, somewhat easy but if you let them get close they can beat you down with their fists quite easily. This is simply due to how strong and sturdy their arms are. It’s kinda like having a fist fight with a child that has brick walls for arms.
The blue grenades are plasma grenades. Smaller explosion radius but more damage and sticks to enemies.
Also, canonically, the plasma pistols (the gun that fires green balls of plasma) burn through people quite easily and the needled (the gun that fires pink, pointy crystals) doesn’t to all that much damage until you get enough of them in the target. Then the enemy just explodes.
May I ask how a grunt can be so strong in lore if it lacks any muscles
@@darklord7479 I’m a bit confused as to what you mean. They have muscles. They’re the size of regular human beings.
Grunts are, on average, almost as tall as the average man. They only seem small because we play as Spartans.
When you think about it considering halo takes place 500 years in the future the Unsc is probably fighting at an archeological site right now with well everything

you should do a brute infested world against marines. the marines have to hold out until UNSC SPECIAL FORCES arrive as ODST troopers or spartans. that would he really cool but love the channel man ✊🏾

You could do a mission where a group of marines protect Keyes and try (fail) to prevent his capture. Like on the mission in game 1 where he's in the covenant ship, the books had a scene where he actually gets taken.

Hey 2 months late but those green explosion things are the plasma pistols charging up than firing. they can fire normally as a semi or fire a medium blast that can disable shields and vehicles

The ooz coming from grunts are the liquids that help them breath.
most of the UNSC invantory is all projectile base but the more extreme
7.62 x51mm is the standard issue round for the MA series
9.5mm is the BR55 round
12.7x40mm semi high explosive armor piercing for the magnum
50. for most turrets
90mm tungsten
railguns for special types of weapons
caseless ammo for the smg's
The gloop explosions is the grunts packs exploding because that’s where their air they breath is in and the air they breath is highly explosive so yea
Most unsc guns shoot bullets but there are some exceptions such as the spartan laser

The animations and general look of these Grunts seem like they got straight copypasted from Halo: Reach into this game, my respect for the Modder!
