    I bought this bag because my previous mummy bag made me super claustrophobic... I definitely appreciate the XXL size of this bag! Extra comfy to boot!

      It’s definitely roomy. Thanks for watching 😁😁

    You don’t get a left zip just because you’re left handed. The left zip just indicated what side the zipper is on. If you’re laying on your back, it’s more natural to grab it with the opposite hand, so if you’re dominant hand is on the same side as the zipper, it would be harder and more awkward to zip straight up, as opposed to zipping up from right to left or left to right.

    I have had this bag for 2 years now and I will say the 0°F rating is pushing it for this bag. I used it for deer camp and while having a thermorest pad and a cot, this bag was plenty roomy and I'm a 6'1" 260lb guy. Using this bag on nights where it was in the single digits, I wasn't cold, just cool, but borderline cool between comfortable and uncomfortable, but I was.just wearing one layer of Polartec thermals. I ended up adding another layer of thermals on for the next few nights and wore a full face mask to keep my head and face warm, I slept pretty good and I was plenty warm.

      I agree. As with all bags, they are really person dependent. Since everyone sleeps differently. I think this bag is probably 10-15 rating. That being said, I haven’t had it lower than around 18, but I was comfortable with a base layer and good pad.

      Yes, I would say that 10-15 degree rating is spot on my friend.

      on their website they say that all their bags use an extreme rating, and they say for comfort, add 20-30 degrees

    The 0*F (or whatever the rating is) sleeping bag rating is NOT designed to keep you warm at literally “0*F.” It’s a designation for a bag indicating that you just won’t freeze to death at 0 (or whatever), even though you’ll be really cold at such ow temps.

      Yes I know

      @@Skills2survive I thought I’d mention that fact because it really wasn’t conveyed clearly in the video.

    I own this bag and I love it. It's chunky and not for prolonged hikes becaise it is heavy. But man, it's warm.amd crazy comfortable.

    Do you have a sleeping bag for big guys, I'm 6'5" and 330lbs, that you can take backpacking?

    • @Skills2survive
      @Skills2survive  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This one is a big sleeping bag, but I would not backpack with it. You might want to look into too quilts or something along those lines. I am not sure of a “big boy” bag that is comfortable and backpackable off hand. 🤔

    I assume you can zip two of the same type bags together?

  • @jeremyrussell2171
    @jeremyrussell2171 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    what size is it all stuffed in? could you suggest a dry bag for it?

    • @Skills2survive
      @Skills2survive  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Packed its like 17"x13"x13". It would probably fit into a 10L dry bag.

    This looks like an excellent sleeping bag for camping. I can't stand those mummy style bags that get narrow toward the bottom. People need to be able to move legs and feet comfortably I would think.

    They also make an Outfitter XXL - 35 bag that has a canvas like outer shell. Do you know if it's possible to use a large stuff sack with that one? It comes with a duffle like carry bag that has cinching straps, but only for the circumference.

    • @Skills2survive
      @Skills2survive  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have seen that one advertised, but haven't seen it in person. I don't think it would fit in a large stuff sack due to its size. Thanks for watching 👍 👍
