Cam tensioner adjustment on 77 Kawasaki KZ650

- I didn’t see a great video on this topic and maybe this one isn’t much better, but I have the original manual so I figured I’d make a video.
This is the method according to the manual, pretty quick and straight forward.
This is a 77 KZ650C1, but I know this is the same method for many other models.
This video is exactly what I needed. I don't care if its shaky and you put your phone down... some of us would rather buy parts than a tripod. Wish me luck and thanks!

@@nathanarmstrong9945 I noticed how hard it was to get into the lock nut. Had to chuckle. I think I was setting my Tensioner wrong by not having it in the correct position the manual says. Hope it improves my engine noise. Thanks for doing the video. Regards

@johnarnold2104 yes it did improve the noise. With the old bike, I repeated the adjustment after a couple days of warm ups. That helped settle down the bike after so many years of it being idle
thank you sir! Im going to give this a go tomorrow. I was told if you go too far back it kind of falls apart? Curious if this fixed the noise for you
Doing this adjustment definitely softened the noise, but as old as these are, the parts and springs aren’t what they use to be.
