tldr; for the video builds, quick bullet points --> New season, new items for K'Sante, more situational items, better mid/late game
- Spectre's Cowl --> very good value into AP poke/DoT champs (teemo, cassio, singed), combos well if you're running Second Wind + Revitalize (good synergy with enchanters on supp later into game)
- Frozen Heart --> Good value buy into atk speed amp champs (yas, yone)
- Hollow Radiance --> Big bait buy, doesn't scale as well with HP as other tanks, doesn't match K'Sante isolating playstyle
- Kaenic Rookern --> Better buy than Hollowed Radiance, good synergy with Shield Bash
- Shield bash > Demolish, bad early, helps with K'sante weak lane phase
- Approach Velocity + Biscuits --> Helps with laning and sticking power
- Bami / Sunfire --> Situational in mid lane, can help with prio top in limited situations imo
- Zeke's / Iceborn --> Iceborn for melee spacing (better built 4th/5th item due to HP scaling), Zeke's for ad ranged spacing
- Force of Nature --> Very good buy for sticking power + MR stat stick
- Sundered Sky --> Good last item, healing from this item is insane rn (14.2/14.3)
- Jaksho --> 2nd/3rd item, armor/mr stat stick
- Unending despair --> into bruisers/tanks, situational
Experiment what's working best. I'm currently learning K'sante so I don't have the best representation of his current state.
Some of this information was filled in with my prior knowledge, take this with a grain of salt.

Hello, thanks a lot for the guide, I have 2 questions:
1) What would you suggest building as first item when not facing auto attacker like Yone in lane, but still ad? For example Garen - zeke's, sunfire or maybe just gauntlet?
2) Overall how important do u think gauntlet still is? Is it better than the despair one for example? In how many ganes in % are you building it on average?
you have to think about 1. if you can even beat them at all, might be better to just play to outscale, and 2, what their trade pattern is. For example into a darius or volibear they like all-in fights, so its better for short and controlled trades with gauntlet, however into a sett or aatrox, any champion that revolves around cooldowns you can try to go a sunfire/or a zekes and just stick onto them if they waste something crucial ex: aatrox q3, sett w etc; into a garen I would consider enemy comp, if theyre melee ill go sunfire but if theyre ranged and mobile ill go gauntlet
gauntlet is still good however its not as Op giga broken as it once was, its a good option to stay onto champions later into the game but I've found youre able to just skip it entirely if you have a Force of nature or spellbook, with FoN you are super speedy and Spellbook allows you to just flash on a crucial enemy, exhaust them or just heal/barrier their damage. despair is a different story, I rarely build it but when I do its into heavy melee comps where im guaranteed to get a good drain in fights. i would say i build gauntlet in 15-25% of my games and un ending despair probably like 5%, FH is too good to pass up for its value.

yes, the new runes will hurt a tiny bit, laning phase is just awful so its better to live with Second wind d shield mid lane

i tested in practice tool but if you take aftershock rune and w to proc aftershock into r and full combo it does a lot more damage and they get hit with the explosion as well, do you think aftershock could be viable in mid lane as a burst playstyle?
theres a short window after w ult where you can fit in a q-auto with aftershock giving about 100 bonus ad at 2-3 items
Yeah but he's explained that in lane/longer trades grasp is better because you can get 2-3 procs in a long trade which is better for healing
what rune shards do you go after the changes?
im not sure if you already talked and explained that, but my problem with ksante is that i can easily play laning phase but really strugle and i know that my teamfighting is bad, could you maybe do some video on how to teamfight as ksante?
I'd recommend you to try Death's dance. It's a very good 3rd item, it has great synergy with your E and during all out it makes you less squishy while still giving armor so it reduces Q CD.
if u want survivability, steraks or sundered are the only exceptions, deaths dance is too much gold
@@Aatreuslol I don't think the cost is that much of a deal but that's because I only build DD when I'm ahead. If I'm even with my laner, or behind, I just build standard tank items.
My usual build is Iceborn gauntlet/Rookern (order depends on lane match up), Dead man plate/Force of nature and then depends on how the game goes. I really love Dead man's plate on K'Sante I have good results with it. I don't know about very high elo, but in low diamond in EUW it works great.
What do you think about that tear item for tanks?
i have some question about the Ksante Mid what do u use Unsealed Spellbook for ?

So I'm confused, at 8:57 you said force of nature is impossible to stack unless you are playing all in and isn't as consistent. But at 18:56 you said force of nature is the most underrated MR item and talk about how op it is when fully stacked. So I'm kind of confused. You say you are building it though. Are you only building it into matchups where you can stick and go all in and its good in those specific matchups and bad elsewhere or are you just sending it and building it even if stacking isn't free. Thanks for the vid though man really informative
at 8:57 I was saying its hard to get value out of force of nature in lane since it takes a bit to stack up, however later on in the game force of nature is a wonderful item for K'Sante in team fights. usually I just build kaenic when im against an ap laner

Demolish sounds really strong only vs tanks but then again vs tanks Bami items gain more value...
Ksante has a horrendous winrate this season on average it’s like 48% or something.
However I seem to be having good games with him. Just have to play either very aggressive or very passive until 6.

Just a short question, since I can't trust Reddit: is K'sante a one trick champ? I want to have him as a second pick, but don't know if he is too demanding.
he requires you to spend lots of time learning him, however its a good payoff.

One thing i was surprised at probably because i recently started maining ksante is how heartsteel sucks on him. Was so excited for it and team with all the health scaling items
I mean Ksante doesn't have any health scaling meaningful enough to warrant building it. You get plenty of health from armor items to max out his q cast time so you just build as much resistances as possible
The item just sucks in general, it’s only good on dr frickin mundo. I tried it on Shen (who has a some decent hp scaling) and I was actually shocked how little value it gives you compared to other tank items, even with in multiple games where I reached over 1000 stacks I regretted building it.
what u build against tanks as first item? For example nasus or Sion?
depends on enemy comp but if youre snowballing going gauntlet or jak sho doesn't hurt

I think you are sleeping on Randuins. That item + Frozen heart makes adc or ys/yone hits you for nothing. It gets buffed far too many times and it can replace gaunlet due to the slow. Its really really good. Agree with Kaenic/Frozen -> Jaksho though. Jaksho is definitely the best 2nd tank item in the game rn and nothing come close to it

biscuits, don't use q, dont interact with enemy laner focus on cs and last hitting with auto attacks, q only if really really needed

what do you do against a vayne top
run second wind d shield and then frozen heart rush if enemy team is auto-attack reliant, if not, I opt for zekes rush and play for jungle gank, bait out her e before going all in
Would be important to say that Frozen heart works wonders against auto attackers except Yi and Olaf

But FH+jacksho gives u 300 hp, q kd will be too high
k'sante has bad health scalings so it isn't as crucial as resists early game
i fell like second jak sho is pretty bad compared to other options as a second item i would only aim to second it against a mixed damage opnonnet perhapse like yone jax
jak sho amplifies all your scalings through the roof and makes your midgame insane
ksante just needs a full rework, the champ is either broken or piss useless.
