Honestly, that's probably exactly what happened. Someone came into work after finishing the build the day before, and got told they had one hour to finish the entire build.
@@kseniafedosova9169 in old saves the houses aren't upgraded so in order to see them you would have to make a new save after the update so any save file before the update won't have the remodeled houses
@@ezekiel.65 Not true. On my only save, which is 3 years old at this point, only the houses I didn't edit into something entirely different were replaced with new models. Spencer-Kim, Pancakes, Goth, and Landgraab were all the way I changed them, but the rest got replaced with the new models. Saved in my library I have both copies of each home. I didn't manually save any of them, and so that must mean EA placed the new ones there.

The Goth house felt like Mortimer just lost the family's money in gambling and they had to move out of their modern home to go live in this house that he inherited and nobody really wants to be there.
The original goth house was like the only base game house that didn't feel empty before, cuz whoever built it orginally actually tried.. now they gutted it and made it just as basic as all their other starter homes.. what was the point of this.. like really.
I actually fuck with the Landgrab kitchen. I immediately had the idea that they have those fridges there, so they can get a snack without interacting with the help, making the food alllll the way over there.
The Goth lot revamp bothers me because it's leagues better than the original lot on the outside, but on the inside it's not giving the correct vibes for the Goths throughout the series. Like, the Goths are old money! They have antiques! Mortimer canonically loves bugs! Bella is into the occult and paranormal! Alexander is just a kid so I don't have much of an opinion on his room, but Cassandra! She may be an eccentric nerd, but she has good taste (Sentate actually pointed this out, but Cassandra's dress in TS2's screenshots was based on a dress in the Alexander McQueen Fall/Winter 2002 RTW collection)! They're Goths, and they're weird, but they're not tacky--in previous games, the Landgraabs and the Altos were probably the closest you'd get to that kind of ostentatious, almost garish decorating. Honestly though, the other renos you showed were pretty great, so I'm glad that we got them in a free update!
I'm really happy with the new buildings but my only complaint is that when I was visiting the Goth family with my newest save, Bella died from a meteor strike almost immediately.
My little sister also wants to get the sims. I can only imagine telling her about how the sims game used to look "back in my day" like a granny tells her grandkids 😂
She can play all of them on a pc. Sims 1 & 2 starter kits courtesy of our boy known as Osab. And of course you can pirate sims 3 & 4 as well lol. I'm just unsure as to where to pirate sims 3 from but I know you can haha, I bought the whole collection on sale from steam a long time ago, it was a great deal. Anadius for sims 4 of course. Anyways, happy simming to y'all!
One thing I found odd is that the "rich" families have almost no money.... Current save file, my sim married Johnny and they basically made an 'addition' to his trailer and now it's a big ol family house. Landgraabs lost their home I think 1st generation (I just started gen 4). Now some single rando lives there. Somehow Calientes kept their house until gen 2 or 3. Spencer-Kims are still in their house, as are Goths. Basically, you'd think these "rich" families would have more household funds than like.... 20k. I know that's basically what everyone gets, it just doesn't make sense.
They have to have jobs that cover the rent for their respective homes. If you allow neighborhood stories to change careers, and you get that call asking if, say, Nancy should switch careers, then that is risking them losing their home. Make sure any careers that your townies pursue are able to cover the rent in 7 days of pay, or you can switch career changes or (even better) moving homes off in neighborhood stories for the townies you don't want to shuffle around.

Duuuuuuuuuuude, the Goth family in The Sims 2 has that MOOLAH, literally 500k. Sims 3 Alto family has 125k. Sims 3 landgraab only has 75k and ts3 goths only have 50k.
I think they really put work and thought into the new builds, the ones you did not tour in this video turned out pretty good too. None of them lost their Basegame Townie Home weirdness factor, but all of them added to the lore. I hope they keep doing this for other townies, I like it!

Look how much “effort” the sims team put into this! Couldn’t say the same thing for high school years. Like seriously my school has a special needs program, JROTC, like billion classrooms, pool, wrestling team, etc (in the game)- and they literally made only two class rooms 🤦🏽♂️
High school years could've been so much cooler- more school clubs/sports, maybe a social clique feature? More classes, etc etc. I know there's only so much they can do since it's a video game, but its not an accurate representation of hs. You're telling me the only sport is football? And then we have cheer? Those are your only athletic options? We have basketball from city living- have basketball as a choice! Soccer/football! It's just so lazy. And the football and cheer stuff is pointless anyways, the competitions are broken and it makes no sense. Why include a sport if you're not going to give them games, only a buggy and broken competition?
Tbh I replace it in every new save if I play with teens. With Get Together clubs I manage to give them more activities after school (most of the time they go sleep into the infirmary I added because they're always sleepy somehow 😅)

As someone with sinus problems who has boxes of tissues almost everywhere in my house, I can understand the tissue box in the bathroom, lol. Mine is in the cabinet above my toilet though. TP as tissue paper kind of sucks as it's easy to blow through it. And it's funny, but any time I design rooms or houses in The Sims there is always tissue boxes everywhere.

NGL, it feels like two different people build the exterior and the interior. Which would be fine, but they're SO DIFFERENT! Like whoever made the exterior clearly didn't think about the layout or any gaps, weird corners, etc; so most rooms look either too big or too small, there are strange gaps and nooks that aren't used properly, and just... the whole spacing is all wrong inside. And my theory is that whoever made the exterior didn't think about how practically you can furnish it, and whoever did the interior couldn't touch the exterior, so they got stuck with a bunch of extra space. Which ofc a competent builder could've solved, but whatever...
Imagine someone who renovated the Pancake house, watched the FGG video, and made a mancave in basement for Bob as a tribute to her? I also have a feeling that different people renovated different houses, so some look cute and some don't.

Seeing Bob and eliza's new home and their lore, i think the "their marriage is falling apart" is more like Eliza have some mommy brain and freaking out because she keeps comparing her to other moms. That and they are quite different from eachother, even if you play with them their love meter is quite high. The different beds is probably because they have different styles/different matras preference or one is a light sleeper and the other snores. Like i see Eliza working on a lot of old projects (like painting or woodworking) in the old house, so she is probably a freelancer.
1:26 Btw about the Pancakes house... I heard a theory (and I believe in it) that Bob might have inherited the house as the only son from his deceased parents, and Eliza was like: BETTER PUT A FUCKING RING ON IT!!

Idk it just doesn’t look like there was ever another room or anything to begin with.

Well, i have spent quite some time removing/updating mods, its been a nightmare but... i have to give them credit, the game doesn't lag that bad anymore and the renewed houses are really nice.

I already remodeled the Goth House hold and gave a Bob a breakfast restaurant that has a bedroom upstairs where he Iggy and Tiana (their son and daughter) hide from Eliza after school 😂

Seeing Bob and eliza's new home and their lore, i think the "their marriage is falling apart" is more like Eliza have some mommy brain and freaking out because she keeps comparing her to other moms.
That and they are quite different from eachother, even if you play with them their love meter is quite high. The different beds is probably because they have different styles/different matras preference or one is a light sleeper and the other snores.
Like i see Eliza working on a lot of old projects (like painting or woodworking) in the old house, so she is probably a freelancer.

Do saves still become corrupt after rebuilding all 30 something worlds with rotational generational gameplay ? Because the game literally cant handle all dlc if they still do, then my game isnt fixed sadly .

I gave the Langraabs new house an entire makeover with Cc and now its gorgeous. I hated that kitchen. I renovated that first. And that stup!d bathroom by the front door that looks like a closet? I turned it into a coat room.
