I love this! My most read genre is horror, second being literary fiction. I have Horror Movie on my TBR. A Head Full of Ghosts by the same author was a 5 ⭐️ read for me so I have high hopes 🤞🏻🎬

I am not a Horror fan but We Used to Live Here sounds great and I love the cover. I added it to my Goodreads TBR and it just came out last week and already it says in the description that it is soon to be a Netflix original movie 😳 so now I have to place a hold on my ever growing list of library books so I can read it before the movie comes out 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 Will you be reviewing these books on your channel or are they just for the literary journey on Story graph?

I am not well versed in the horror genre at all. Can you provide a link that would give examples of the subgenres?

The only horror novels I care for are classic Gothic novels, the works of H.P. Lovecraft, Algernon Blackwood, and various psychological horror novels/stories such as The Yellow Wallpaper and The Lottery. I don't know if one would consider Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian and The Road "horror," but I found them quite disturbing. I do not care for Stephen King, but I want to read The Shining as it's the only King novel listed 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die reference book.

I loved The Shining...but do read a good bit of Stephen King and enjoy many of his books so there's that. I added the couple you mentioned to my TBR list...they sound good!
