Every once in a while, I like a good horror novel. Unfortunately, I am often disappointed in either the writing or predictable plots. Our Share of Night did not disappoint! It was one of my favorite reads last year. Latin American horror is some of the best. I also recommend Monstrilio by Gerardo Sámano Córdova. I also was underwhelmed by Horror Movie . It was my first Paul Trembley and it left me kind of 'meh'..I know he is popular, but not sure if I should try another of his. A horror book related to film that I did enjoy was Silver Nitrate by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Not perfect, but more interesting and (in mho) better writing. I swear I saw movies made or based on both The Ritual and The Ruins. We Used to Live Here was not on my radar and sounds interesting, so I put a hold on that! Looks like I'll get it around Halloween which is perfect:) Horror is popular at the library..lol. Fun video!
