I remember when this company first came out. They were doing little batteries and small fast chargers. Now look at them doing generators, houses and battery packs. 🙌🏽😎
Sounded like info-mercial mode. I am assuming it wasn't Ryan's house as he referred to it as "this house". It may be an interesting alternative for some. What is the expected cost for that or other capacity configurations, and installation?
There are a few questions I have that weren't answered. 1. what is the total storage per unit 2. what is the continuous output 3. what is the cost These things are important. Anyway, it's good that there are more options regarding solar.
The demo failed to show the performance with any heavy 240 V load. How does this system handle Air conditioner’s surge current or level 2 car charging? Every single battery on the market can handle trickle charging.
In fairness. 240 volt loads have half of the current that 120V loads have for the same power. The battery puts out watts. Higher voltage would likely be better for the battery.
It's good to see competition to the Tesla Powerwall. I really like the flexibility and modularity of this system. It would be great to see an objective real world side by side comparison of the Anker Solix vs Tesla Powerwall performance and cost / WH installed.
If a reliable installer prevails then it’s a winner. My biggest problem with my Tesla Solar / Powerwall was the actual service. But even worse were the competitors that were either overpriced or seem to come and go… therefore unlikely to be around to honor their warranties. It’s scary out there and takes a lot of research and luck.
I'm more interested in charging the batteries off-peak and having them ready to go during an outage. I have solar that came with the house but I'd need to expand it significantly to charge batteries in a meaningful way. Based on what you described, this could be an option for me.
No mention of cost per module for these LiFe P04 storage cells. A large household would require at minimum oh 30 kWh storage for optimal off grid overnight use. 60 kWh would be better. This translates into 12 + 2 modules in the stacked configuration. But nowhere on the website does it list cost per module? Deception at its finest.
I was quoted the following from a company located in California: 3 battery modules for a total of 15 kWh : $20,450 USD before tax credit or rebates 4 battery modules for a total of 20 kWh : $25,600 USD before tax credit or rebates 6 battery modules for a total of 30 kWh : $35,900 USD before tax credit or rebates 1 Power Module has a load start up of 70 LRA so it may not start most AC units unless it has a soft starter.
@@nelsondog100 We'll likely see a video like you want in the future. If you are seriously thinking about buying, I would suggest you talk directly to each company.
Funny how they boast about how thin the unit is, despite being thicker than Powerwall 2. To have the same capacity of a Powerwall, it's a fair bit larger. Anker's customer service is crap and they aren't even honest about the price. I can find it online anywhere.
I'm tired on Tesla's nonsense. Multiple friends have tried to have their solar system installed with rather poor outcomes. -- Anker is a great company that makes wonderful tech products, I'll gladly entertain a system like this in the future.
After all the information that’s been released and is freely available on what Anker, those who purchase it deserve what they get; natural selection in practice
The question that isn't being asked, is why would someone need this? I've had solar in the city for more than 10 years. In that time, I've had maybe two power outages for a few minutes total. The grid is my backup battery. Do I need to install batteries to cover that 2 minutes every ten years? Why would I want to use the battery to charge my Tesla? All this does is drain my bank account.
Although you maybe had a bad experience with Anker, to say they have proven themselves to be untrustworthy is a leap. I have nothing except to say but good with my experiences with them.

Just out of curiosity, does this system provide a true sine wave or a stepped sine wave power (@60 Hz)?
Hey Ryan. I just ordered the new model 3 performance. I would be honored if you used it for a video when it gets delivered . I live in the LA area btw
I like Anker and this looks nice, but I'd rather see an honest review from you instead of an infomercial.
I think the biggest question left unanswered is: How much did the whole system cost?
Yup, couldn’t find the price anywhere , or any TH-cam video
those guy got it for free to promote their products
You know it will be expensive if the price is confidential
$14,270 for the 15kw
Thanks for reading the company's brochure to us
That's sales
Haha
Is someone going to tell him the Model 3 performance was just released!?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks.
😂😂😂 dang it! You beat me to it!
This video was recorded probably a while ago since it’s an sponsored video
We would rather see more about the perf model 3 versus this commercial which undercuts your objectivity

Glad you announce the sponsorship. Jerry didn’t do it about ford.
Nice commercial. No… seriously, nice commercial!
Been using Anker battery banks for a decade. The move makes sense. I’ll check it out!
Great video Ryan, would love to see a follow up comparing to the Powerwall 3 as well as installation cost information.
I like the fact that you can tell it when you sell the power back to the grid when prices are higher . Excellent job Anker
Anker is just nexl level, they are soo successful

1. what is the total storage per unit

I haven't checked it out, but I assume that level of info is available from Anker.

Agreed. 120V charging is about equivalent to turning on your microwave.
In fairness. 240 volt loads have half of the current that 120V loads have for the same power. The battery puts out watts. Higher voltage would likely be better for the battery.

Nice video! Anker products are absolutely the best!
What's the price?!
Great info thanks didn’t know there was a competition for the tesla power walls anker is no joke this product is great im sure this is over 15k
Would like to hear some comparison to Tesla's Power Wall... Just saying - you can't get this when you are doping an infomercial...

Deception at its finest.
What happens when the app stops working, Can I control it manually? I prefer having a transfer switch plug and play.
Not sure how, but I connected to the Home Shopping Network. I musn't drink so much.
Thanks for the information! :-)
How does this compare to Tesla Powerwall 3 ?
Whats is the cost? Tesla has on their website the estimated cost, but Anker does not.
I was quoted the following from a company located in California:

Has the X1 only been installed in one house. I swear I have seen the installation in this same house in every video review of this product.
Bought and paid for by Anker.
I love this this is LFP and appears to have a good software suite. I don't understand why Tesla hasn't swapped to this chemistry given the use case.
I believe powerwall 3 has LFP
MODEL 3 PERFORMANCE IS OUT NOW!!!
yep looks really good
How much is it?

This is a Chinese based company. Any US/European/ based company ?
Philippines by any chance?
Ummm Tesla?

nice commercial, good on you making some money ❤. i did want to know which battery back ups were LFP batteries!
Is this DC coupled or AC coupled or Both?
Pretty good commercial
What brand of panels on your roof?
This is great to hear Ryan. 👍
So it's an ad..
I think tesla will be fine in that department
Is this US only or is it coming to the UK with 240V as well?
This man's household takes 4 times more power than the average household in Europe. Crazy, Americans so rich.
After all the information that’s been released and is freely available on what Anker, those who purchase it deserve what they get; natural selection in practice
I understand if English is not your native language, but I am unable to understand the thought you are trying to convey.
Can it be wired with my existing solar panel setup so during grid outage my solar can still work and charge the batteries?
I haven't checked it out, but I assume that level of info is available from Anker.
Nice infomercial.
Of course sponsors 😂 top competitor
literally a 11 minute advertisement
This was an 11 minute ad....
lol remember when Anker was just another random Chinese Amazon brand? They've come so far
Wow I just watched an 11 minute ad read.
I think you left behind any level of impartiality with this commercial. Disappointing.
You can't spell wanker without Anker
That’s ignorant. They make absolutely the best products!
Hey anker looks good, but that was still funny😂
Why install with flexible metal conduit? That looks terrible. And then connect the flexible conduit to EMT.
It may be that his area is susceptible to earthquakes or elephant stampedes.
Bro only mentioned Tesla once congrats 😂😂😂
WAKE UP RYAN NEW MODEL 3 DROPPED
as a loyal follower, I'd like to request that you not change your format again. thank you
Why they misspelled the “W”..?
You can’t be part of the VPP unless you have a Tesla brand powerwall.
this video feels like paid advertisement

He's jumping on the bandwagon of hating tesla. Lol
While showing a model 3 and Tesla solar on the house!
