@FBI YOU'RE FBI. INVESTIGATE. lol. I think it was bait and switch. They know American prudes are noisy as hell so they had that press release to try n sell you the amish or something. DOA's gameplay is what's really sexy. Damn the prudes!
Man i love your videos like this. It's been a while since you did vlogs. You are probably the only few English speaking channel to showcase Evo Japan like this, really gives a nice perspective and another outlook on the FGC. I appreciate your efforts. Hoping for a part 2 soon!
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. It's just so well edited and paced, and you don't have annoying music and yelling into the camera every 2 seconds like other vlogs I've seen. Very well done. Can't wait for part 2!
You are by far one of my favorite TH-camrs l! Fighting Games are my one obsessions and you help that obsession grow with each Fighging game video you put out, thank you!
You got absolutely destroyed/murdered/annihilated/demolished but you did the best you could do. The pressure of such a significant event can effect ones nerves and make it difficult to play at your peak performance.
I mean, I really don't want to bash on him, don't see this as an attack but more a realization, he is ultra bronze, barely train, didn't have any training partner for warm up and is competing on the strongest region of fighting games. It would be a miracle if he didn't go 0-2. Again, I understand that his main goal is fun and enjoyment, but not preparing at all seems like a waste of the entrance fee.
Love your content! Don't worry about the 0-2 because it happens to all of us. I'm sure you're salty but the wound will heal. Good luck and here's to next year!
I do the same preparation thing for yoyoing, before going to an event I take the YoYos I am bringing to to the event, pull them apart, clean the bearings, lube the bearings and replace the strings.
Do you have a Phreakmods Link installed in your TE2+? I imagine it would make traveling with it much easier, if not just safer for your stick. Also, looks like you use a square gate, have you ever tried an octagonal one? I think I'm gonna try out some stick/lever mods myself, like stiffer spring, oversized actuator, octo agate, and maybe that Otto v5 kit. I really like how the standard Sanwa JLF is so easily modifiable and repairable, especially so in the case of the TE2 or Panthera.
Hey I'm from Honduras and it's nice to see how the Coffee shops around the world offers Honduran Coffee, that's Awesome and I'm just watching your videos for the games but this kinda of things are nice and unexpected.
Core Values aside, the tournaments were pretty hype. Except SFV. I knew it was gonna be Momochi vs Fuudo, and I knew Momochi was gonna win somehow. Also no announcements whatsoever from Capcom.
@@NihongoGamer Oh, no problem. I actually thought it was intentional. It felt like you were making a joke about inevitably drowning in pools. Showing you won the first round smoothly then hard cutting to G winning. But I love this inside look into Evo Japan, looking forward to part 2. :D
Alright my friend,am steve singh from Scotland. I was just wondering what your thoughts are if the new universal fighters board available? . It let's you connect your favourite arcades stick to all your consoles.....switch also😊
Event was free. Hotel was $50 per night. $100 for the second hotel because of overbooking. Water was about 80 cents for a 2L bottle. Meals were roughly $7-8 for a bowl of ramen.
Practicing on pad? But they have USB slots at the arcades in Japan. Can't you practice at an arcade or something? As far as I remember, you can even go to training mode in Japanese arcades.
EVO Japan: Core Values Edition.

Core-A-Gaming has a good video on the 2018 edition too.
NihongoGamer (configuring his controller) is like Yugi from Yugioh... Rearranging his deck to be able to draw right card at the right moment
This Core values probably will become one of the most memorable EVO moment of the history. Glad to see it from different angle.
I love Japan, please never change

Good to see you're having a good time in Evo. Keep up the good work. Can't wait for part 2. Cheers!
Don't worry about going 0 and 2. The fact that you even entered is more than most people. Thanks for making this content.
Loved the coffee scene lol and music
I love your vlogs a lot!
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Also on the first few seconds it was clear this gonna be top tear content ;P
Oh hey, I'm from Honduras! Glad to see our coffee is well regarded!

I missed these on the road vlog style videos. Plus a coffee video! Talk about Ultra Combo.💪
Nice Core Value
Congrats to you for participating in Evo Japan! I want to eventually go to locals and tourneys and you really inspired me.
No converter but at least you have Core Values.

That cut to G winning twisted my mind
Yeah sorry the footage was long so I cut it short but I wanted it to be clear that the G player won the set :)

Wow I used to live an hour away from Fukuoka.
Drinking coffee represents my core values.
How much did you spend on the trip? I always wanted to do this kind of trip, but never was able to.
