Only one massive thing is bothering me about this pond. I don't want to come across petty but I think it would have been 100 times better IF you installed it in my backyard!
Another great pond and spectacular waterfall. I’m giving Jaak this title now even though he has many years left . The GOAT of waterfalls. Like if you agree . This guy is a beast.Jaak is the Michael Jordan of waterfalls.
A second thank you for the laser level explanation. I've been watching a lot of pond videos in the last year. This is the first time I remember someone walking through how to use one. Not boring at all. Glad to see 2020 is being good to you.
Wow! This looks amazing with all those pond lights! Just realized this is the place of "The NEGATIVE EDGE Koi Pond" MASTERPIECE!!! (See Videos Dec. 4 & 11, 2020) Wow, these people really got bitten by the water feature bug! My favorite part is definitely the hardscape seating wall! Who wouldn't like to sit there and feed the fish while dangling your feet in the pond?? Well done Team Atlantis!
Those Koi are going to be thrilled to get an upgraded transformed pond and waterfall as their new home, OMG it looks so awesome totally transformed the Koi will think they went from a hut to a palace! I'm sure your clients will be equally thrilled, all natural, gorgeous natural pond with amazing waterfalls!!!
The whole water feature is great! I really love the waterfall and how it meanders, and especially the Niagara Falls portion... hey that’s in my neck of the woods. The bamboo makes a great background, you have to admit, and that could be the background behind the waterfall, IMO. I have a video regarding bamboo control if you don’t want to read the whole thing... but here goes. The home owners need to maintain the bamboo barrier, besides the fact that it looks like the knockoff flimsy barriers, to make sure the rhizomes don’t jump the barrier. They can & should also rhizome prune: work a spade around the clump and pull out any cut pieces, once after new shoots leaf out and again right before winter. The Phyllostachys genus (which is what it looks like) generally spreads 4’ a year, so roughly 2’ per rhizome pruning in open ground. Essentially they’re just trying to find stray rhizome in their case. They shouldn’t have to remove much. Leaving an opening in the barrier also channels the roots in one direction and makes it easier to maintain. It seems like they take the path of least resistance and jump less if there is open ground. It sounds like a lot of work but it’s about 2 hours per season of work, depending on how fit someone is. Not to cross promote my channel on yours, but again check out my video to see it done.
The only thing i wouldn't do would be these lights in the pond if i 'd had fishes. Out of respect for them i would have left natural light in the pond. The lights on the cascade are magnificent. I like very much this goldish color. This is another great piece of aquatic art!
100000% better! Thank god no more plumbing material is exposed. Wish we would have gotten to see the koi fish return into the new fabulous makeover pond. And how many koi is recommended in that size you just designed for them. Great work! You have a good team
Badass Beautiful, when a client trust you with there money and give you a large window. Definitely Priceless Art which makes each and every install unique. Hardscape, Aquascape, & Landscape, working together to accomplish this project into living art.
Beautiful 😍 but I think I would have invested in a metal sheet wall hammered in on the bamboo side. Sending roots back to others side. Great job everyone 🥰
Wow Jaak! Excellent upgrade!! Maybe it was budget, but I would of insisted that concrete liner for this job especially since you pointed out the damage that bamboo root did with the original pond.! The level bit was very informative. I wondered about that as well. I was a little disappointed the customer did not opt for the cantilevered deck as a feed location for the fish. I am guessing that would have changed the leveling of the pond water height. I am not sure if I am spelling his name right, but Bolivar has done some phenomenal stone work that accentuates your pond artistry. It is part of the details I see with the rock stacking, placement, and selection. What you guys call, 'character rocks' I really enjoy. I hope you return in about 6 months. I want to see how the water clears with the koi back in pond and how the landscape completes the whole package. Yes, you guys rock!!
Wow oh wow did this one turn out beautiful! I know from watching you that you only "really" need a foot or two of height to make a showstopping piece, but when you have that natural bit of extra height to work with it looks so much better! You all knocked it out of the park. Love all of your videos you do and always look forward to taking some time to watch yours when you post. Also appreciated the full flow shot and the low flow shot! You really get multiple water features with that variable pump!
Great job jaak & crew. You went from volcanoes to straight up walls. Moving up I see. What a fantastic creation. The waterfalls are absolutely beautiful.
I love the transition from the top of the hill/waterfall to the bottom of the pond. The vertical element of the design makes it feel like the waterfall and pond was originally there and that the wall was added to contain the pond. Great effect and the water features you make keep getting better!
Another masterpiece!! Favourite feature- the water coming right up to the retaining wall and the waterfalls. What would I change?..................................it’s location! It needs to be in my yard! Seriously though this pond is perfection.
Amazing work. Watching this video over and over. One of the best ponds in your collection. I love when you use those big rocks to make the curves. Pure art.
What a difference a few days make! Jaak, please do a follow up video late this summer or next year, so we can see the landscaping in. Is the homeowner building a wall in front of the bamboo? Is that what the framing is for?
Im from europe and i wished that we had people like you building ponds arround here. I would love to have a serenity pond on my backyard! Keep uploading videos!
OMGEEZY!!!! Braddah Jaak u out did yourself on this one just when I thought u couldn’t set the bar any higher u drop this banger!! Excellent work my man, the stream waterfall and edge work..WOW, and l love the retaining wall great work to u and the boys! Much love and aloha 🤙🏽🐠🤙🏽
Great job Jaak. Looks awesome. Love the field stone and the size of them work really well and in time that pond will be just AMAZING once the planting takes shape. Keep going Atlantis
Good afternoon Jake wow what another amazing build. Truly spectacular im speechless. 2020 BEST POND BUILD hands down. Year just started and you've definitely taken that title. I'm looking at that pond and looking at my garden thinking 'I wonder if...' I had a smaller aquascape pond installed in February - a birthday present for me. I really enjoy it and I do catch myself thinking 'maybe a bigger one?'
Only one massive thing is bothering me about this pond. I don't want to come across petty but I think it would have been 100 times better IF you installed it in my backyard!

Love seeing ponds get POND filters and not pool filters!
Oh. My. Gosh! I absolutely love it! The only bad thing is you keep raising the bar and now I have to redo my waterfall, again!
A second thank you for the laser level explanation. I've been watching a lot of pond videos in the last year. This is the first time I remember someone walking through how to use one. Not boring at all. Glad to see 2020 is being good to you.
Gorgeous waterfall. If that was at the lowest speed for the water, it looks natural.
thank you!
