Do you connecting AlphaPix direct to the computer via ethernet cable? How you setup the artnet connection? I have the same controller, but resolume doesn't recognize it.
Hi Alexey, What i did is set my IP of resolume PC in the same range of the alphaPix, I ran it also a couple of times in a network with a Chamsys light controller. It worked well in my case. Make sure your resolume PC IP is in the same range of the Alphapix (Artnet is based on 2.x.x.x range, but should work also in another range). I remmond te set for example your resolume PC on 2.0.0.1 and your alphapix on 2.0.0.2. Make also sure you have the universes set correct.

That is all possible. On each output max 166 independent Led's. You have 16 outputs.... so you can run up to 2656 Led's independant on 1 alphapix. You can connect directly to your mac or via a switch.

@@CreatTornadoProducti the xlr's are dmx outputs. You have to connect all bc216 onto your network. So you can use network switches. (The easiest and cheapest are unmanaged network switches). So all the bc216 have artnet and power as input and the rest are only outputs.

Hi I would like to buy te 16channel edition Buth I'm kinda confused. I'm a regular chamsys user, thats for dmx lightning in clubs, events..., and this support art net, so that should work. Something that is not directly clear for me when you use lets say output 1 and you enter for uninverse 1 and for dmx 1 and pixel 3, am I correct that the first led will be dmx 1 pixel 1, the second led dmx1 pixel 2, the third led dmx 1 pixel 3 AND the fourth led will be then DMX 2 (not 1) and pixel 1.. And so one and so on until you reached the maximum. Is this correct or does it simply stops at the 4th led??? Would by very Handy to know for my programming I will use ws 2811 or 2812b leds single programmables Thanks for your help!!
If I were you, i should start from universe 5 or smth. That makes sure that you still can use your first dmx universes from your direct outputs from your lighting console. Then after that.... first pixel has address 1. 2nd pixel adress 4. 3rd pixel address 7. You have to patch them as " generic LED " then choose LTP or HTP. And then choose the correct address and amouth of pixels. Be carefull when buying these LED strips.... if you buy 12V. You have 3 LEDpixels on 1 IC. That means 1 pixel are actuall 3 LEDs. Grtz

You can go straight from your pc to the controller with network cable, and you can use as many controllers as you want on your network. You can have in this case 16x dmx universes. Not sure what you mean with not enough universes. But you can configure each output of the alphapix to a desired dmx universe, so you can eventually duplicate them and you can go up to 256 universes I think, but could be also more. Not sure about it. I will check later on.
@@starlightjasper Right, for some reason I associated the number of 16 outputs to a total number of 16 universes. 1 universe/output. On the manufacturer’s website it says: Control Pixels: RGB: 340 Pixels x 16CH. So my understanding goes like this: 340 pixels x 3 (R.G.B.) = 1020 dmx channels (2 universes) per output. A total of 16 outputs = 16320 dmx channels (32 universes) So your device would support a total number of 5440 led's (pixels) = roughly 90 meters at 60led/meter. Please correct me if i’m wrong. I know there is a 4 output model as well on the market for half the price, so I’m trying to figure out if that would be enough for me.

did u know how to fix the half of port 1-8 channel cannot connect or broken . but the half 9-16 are work . i have 4 controller here and they had a some problem now . it can be test mode on 9-16 but cannot connect to madrix or resolume arena .
@@starlightjasper well, it is a 30x7 matrix with snaked signal. I have an artnet receiver which can handle r universes per output. Do I manually need to setup Al the rows, columns and signal directions in each universe?
@@mattyd_gaming7425 yes you should. It is for every universe. As far as i can see, you only need 2 universes, so it aint a lot of work. Just make you Lumiverse and copy it and change the universe numbers for the copied lumiverse. Grtz

Most controllers are Artnet compatible. sACN, klingnet, .... are newer and not implemented in older controllers. You can take a look yourself what kind of control software you want to use in the future, but i guess that they all are able to send out artnet

Yes, they use the same protocol, the difference is the voltage, it could be your ledstrip has 3 led's for 1 chip. Then 1 pixel equals 3 LED's. Grtz and good luck

On my window, when I create a new output I have device, lumiverse, subnet, universe. No target ip appear. And in the device menu it is only written Art Net. I am sure that my network and led wiring works fine because it is running perfectly with mad mapper but I want to try on resolume. Thank you for your help !
This is BC-216 clone of Alphapix16.. there is 2 version of this.. 1 is Arnet Only..the other one is Artnet and E1.31 Support.. i have 3 of This controller..and when i update Firmware it becomes Holiday Coro..

In preferences, you can add in the DMX tab lumiverses. There you can give each lumiverse an dmx address. Then in output advanced, you can give the lumiverses a place and size. Good luck!

Dude, I can't really tell what you're trying to show, because you have all your LED strips wound up on spools. What is this supposed to look like if the strips are all laid out in an array, like on a wall or something?

With arena 6. You got the dmx settings within output/advanced and then in your lumiverses itself

Pulsaar DnB make sure ip from your macbook is in same range of ip controller.

Sure. You can use plenty. But what do you mean with "channels?" I guess you mean universes. Also that is no problem.

You can use 170 pixels. Wireless router can do it.... but it will slow down..... pending on routing. Best to use a normal router.

There is not really a superfast way to do so. It is all pending on your outputs and configuration

Hi sACN is another protocol like artnet.
Resolume is just using artnet. So no direct need for the newer version in my opinion.
