Used to make caravans from balsa wood when I was a kid to tow behind a Airfix MKI Cortina that my dad built and raced back in the 60's , caravans are long gone but I still have the Cortina .
Hi Rob, if you turn the Hot Wheels Hot Rod into a slotcar, make sure that the metal pieces are disconnected the braids from the whole car, to prevent an electrical shock. Just saying, because I know you know that, but there are quite a few so called experts, that don`t know that. By the way, in the Carrera Go!! line-up from cars there are two Hot Rods already, if you didn`t know it. 🙂
Yes, the Porsche will indeed have to be insulated, but it would be by default anyway due to the guide being plastic etc. The GO is already a slot car, I will just be making it more compatible with other types of track because the 'pin' dose not work so well when there is no magnet in the car. Also the tyres may need changing for some custom PU ones as again, the stock ones may not grip so well on an MDF track. These are the things we will be finding out together 😀
An 'eclectic' selection there Rob. I thought your most recent and excellent Renault Megane F1 was out of left field but these are clearly from far, far away.
