Glad you could find the splash panels you needed Tim! 🙂👍 Crazy to see that many IH's in one salvage yard. Thanks for taking us along to see what was out there. Keep at it my friend 🔧🔩
Yes, it's always a good day when I go to the junkyard. Rest assured, you'll be the first one I reach out to when the day comes that I'm ready to part with my pickup. Thanks for watching!
I thought you said there were allot of International Truck's ? I'm looking for 1950 to 1952 "L" Series International Truck's about a 2 ton truck as I need part's !! ZAK .
It was a while ago, but I remember looking at those mirrors when I was in the C series row. There were two that matched with aluminum bodies. Only one had the IH stamping on it and I think at least one had broken mirror glass. They're probably still out there. I didn't need them because my truck has the original torpedo 5" round mirrors.
I just acquired a 1963 C1000 4WD with a V8. And manual transmission. I am not familiar with these trucks. It appears to have a 4th pedal to the left of the clutch. Do you know what is for? Could it have been an old started pedal? Also how do I tell what engine I have? Is there a VIN decoder online?
I've never seen or heard about a fourth pedal. I would follow the linkage to see where it goes. If that doesn't help, I suggest you join binderplanet.com and post that question on the General Tech forum. There are a lot good folks there that may be of help. Your engine displacement should be listed on a flat plate on the right just above your fuel pump and below the exhaust manifold. You should have a 266, 304, 345 or 392.
God Dang! So many parts I want off of those D series trucks!

I'm fortunate to have two yards near me that have a decent selection of Internationals (Rohner's in Willmar MN and Windy Hills in New London MN).
That 50's chassis truck is cool, you could turn it into a International Ramp Truck
Cool place! Still waiting to buy your c series pickup haha
