Thank you for showing this BEAUTIFUL house! That magnificent staircase with the balustrade on the second floor is just breathtaking. I can't understand why people would want to live in a toothpick and cardboard modern house and bypass a beauty like this!
If only I were rich I'd make an offer on the old place. What a magnificent structure! Shame to see it in such a state. As one poster stated, if those walls could talk they would have quite a story to tell.
Looks like a perfect example of life interrupted by NAFTA and or the bank crashes since 2008. A house that's been loved, lived in, and cared for for 200 years left to rot. Banks only see the value in the land that they sit on. Strategic holes in roofs mysteriously appear and destroy them from the inside like cancer. It's not "cost effective" to maintain them. So many people would give anything to have a home like this. These videos make me sad inside.
+Abandoned Steve (Historical - Urbex) I know that in the Winchester house, the woman built a door like that to confuse spirits haunting her. Who knows maybe it's haunted, cool to think about anyway.
I have lost count of how many abandoned videos I have watched, but this is my all time favorite! Other than the basement and the pile of stuffed animals, there was nothing creepy about this place. I want the kitchen and butler's pantry.
I absolutely loved this beautiful house! ❤️ Just so sad to know nobody will be able to enjoy this wonderful home. I loved every thing about this place.
what a beautiful house this must have been in its heyday , and such a shame to see it slowly rotting away, hopefully somebody can claim it and bring it back to life somehow
Abandoned Steve I love the interior of that house. I like the wood details on the walls and I like how the banister curls at the bottom of the stairs. I wish I could buy that house and restore it.
This was excellent! This house doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was glorious on the inside, with so many rooms and compartments! It had such class and fine detail everywhere. Why did they let it go?! You are always so thorough and interesting with your video tours, Steve. I really appreciate your work. It shows you put in alot of effort, and that your whole heart is in it. I wish I could be part of the team that's gonna fix up this house and get it ready for sale, cause I have alot of ideas!
WOW. WOW. WOW. This house is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!! And the outside stone structure that you said maybe was a barn!?!? Times like these I wish I was bloody filthy rich. I would buy this place. Fix it. And live there until I died!!!!!!
I'm thinking it must be 1918 rather than 1818. The windows, doors, woodwork, hardware, piping, rads all look identical to a 1927 house I used to have. Thanks for the video. Nice work.
I'll take it!!!! What a beauty, you can see past all the decay as to how it was once a diamond!!! That barn structure would make such a wonderful secret garden!!!!!!!! Where is this house???
Absolutely lovely. Thanks so much for sharing. Every time I see something this beautiful, it's very upsetting knowing I'll probably never have the chance to fix one up. In the meantime I'll keep wishing. And I'll leave it at that.
Even in the deplorable state that this home is in, you can tell what an absolutely beautiful place it once was! I hope someone is able to rescue it and return it to it's glorious beauty!
What a beautiful house! Like everyone else, I wish I had the money to buy it and fix it up. I love the architecture and all the unique little details. I also really loved the photos at the end and the stonework. Wow, it must have been an amazing place to explore for a child! I am thinking with seeing the magnitude of this house that someone really important (or wealthy) must have lived there back in its prime.
Oh, how I did love that farm house too! They are both such awesome finds! Thank you for your great videos! I look forward to your next find and of course always be safe! :)
BubbleEmily TV cool.. I am debating wether or not I want to stay in this town even :( every spring we get a ton of wildfires.. it's just part of the ecosystem, but still it raises hell on my eyes and throat.
Wow you really out did yourself on this one Steve. Stunning indeed! Kinda amazing how fast these places go down inside after a few years. Just now seeing this. I haven't been getting channel feeds for some reason lately. Awesome find thanks for sharing!
Hey, Abandoned Steve, I have a couple of questions for you. You've probably been asked before but just in case you haven't I will ask them. lol 1.Have you ever run in to a homeless person while filming? 2.Do you normally do a quick run-through before filming to check for squatters? 3.Have you ever freaked yourself out so much while filming that you thought you saw paranormal activity? 4.What is the strangest thing you've ever witnessed while doing one of your explorations? Just some questions that's that been on my mind for a minute. I love your videos, man! Keep them coming!
Tony Michael 1. Never face to face but i think one was in the abandoned sleighton house. 2. Before entering, i usually let myself be heard. I yell hello and then listen for any noises or responses. If someone is in the house, i will not go in. My camera gear is too much to risk. 3. I have never seen anything paranormal but I have heard doors close and such. 4. In the sleighton house, just finding all the human fecal matter all over the stairs. Thanks for watching
Great questions! 😃 and great video as always really love your videos. That house looks like it was really beautiful at one time would love to know the history! Thank you for sharing!
What a beautiful house that must of been in it's day. Love all the fireplaces, built ins, back staircases. Great video I love seeing abandoned houses. It takes you back in time of what it was and what it is now, what kind of people lived there. Such a shame for it to go to waste. Thanks for sharing.
it has a dutch style i think. the paints on the fireplace are similar to those you see in holland. also the hook over the upper window is quite common in amsterdam
I love you dont give out locations let othets figure out the way you did since I live in your area Im familiar with surrounding sights sounds etc. that help me slueth out where your at youve led me to some good metal detecting finds. I have never entered any places always fill my holes back in and take the trash I dig up with me.
What a grand and magnificent house. So stunning and classically beautiful. I could live there in a heartbeat! Thanks Steve for your time and effort. This was amazing!
One of the best I've seen! Love urban ex. and watch many videos, this one wonderfully done, what a beautiful charming house it was, and I love the way you go through all items in the house, as I love seeing them, and what era theyare from and etc. Thanks so much!
Such a beautiful home and in wonderful condition, well other than the few leaks that I saw. It is is a crying shame such a beautiful large home sitting for vagrants to destroy. I would have never guessed it to be so old & over 100 years old, a great job. 🏠🌾
wow...The home was beautiful!!! I see someone used water based paint to paint over oil based paint. That's a huge mess to refinish, but I'd do it just to own that gorgeous place. Oh my stars... the rooms were ornate but subtlety so. Some of the woodwork was stunning and impressive around doors and the fireplaces. Don't get me started on those fireplaces because they were amazing!! You've got to look beyond the forest to see the trees. It was a real dump in the kitchen. With a new footprint to get the older kitchen out of the butlers pantry, put the butlers pantry back in use as it should, and then refurbish the kitchen area to be a functional space, I believe that can make someone a perfectly usable kichen. That house just needs someone to love it again and be willing to do the place justice by fixing it up to its glory days. So lovely... thanks Steve for a truly wonderful tour.
This has is so stunning and in incredible shape, I love the stone facade and the collapsed barn was like a secret garden. The rooms are so huge and stately and that gorgeous staircase...it's too bad someone can't restore it or at least stop it's decay. I love it.
I live in a little apartment and would just love to have all this space to work with. The attic alone is the size of my whole place. Such a shame that some place so large and beautiful is in disrepair.
Wow !!! I am sure this house in its prime was a true gem . Looks like it would not take a lot to fix it up and restore this beauty to its true beauty . I love this house ... Big rooms with fireplaces .. Thanks for the tour !!
beautiful home, love all the woodwork, all the gorgeous windows and all the natural light. if its truly in a legal battle - what a shame, its rotting away while they decide.
Wow, that was really cool. I love the pictures at the end. I'd be curious to know your thoughts while exploring inside the house and narrate them. Nice video, I wish I could explore with you! And I really hope someone is able to take care of that house, it's gorgeous. :)
Laura Tuller Thank You. Sometimes I talk a lot, sometimes I dont. Depends on the situation. I was just in awe the entire time when exploring this home. It was amazing
That is still a beautiful house. Would be nice to see someone come in and renovate back to original. The barn stone work is amazing. Thanks for the tour.
Another great video Steve. This is a beautiful home and still quite beautifl internally. I certainly hope it gets saved before it is too far gone. Thanks as always.
Thank you for showing this BEAUTIFUL house! That magnificent staircase with the balustrade on the second floor is just breathtaking. I can't understand why people would want to live in a toothpick and cardboard modern house and bypass a beauty like this!
Thats the kind of house that never loses it's beauty
***** i agree 100%
The attic and the basement was my favorite parts from this video,I love exploring attics, specially if it's an attic of a abandoned house.
these old houses just breaks my heart seeing them die like this! What a beautiful Historic place!
If only I were rich I'd make an offer on the old place. What a magnificent structure! Shame to see it in such a state. As one poster stated, if those walls could talk they would have quite a story to tell.
+Nora Dennis Same here, I would love to have the money to buy this place and renovate it to bring a bit of British 1800s grand houses to it.
That place has a lot of history to it...AWESOME tour ty.
Wow! This place is absolutely stunning! Awesome video, Steve! Thanks for bringing us along.
***** Thanks Pam. It was a great experience!
It's a shame that this nice house is going to waste away, hope someone saves it soon. Looks like a wonderful property.
***** it sure is. Has 8.2 acres of land
I am salivating over this house. It's just killing me that it's being left to rot.
What a shame this house is in such disrepair. It looks like it wouldn't take much to restore it.
Can't you imagine renovating one of these houses, it would be beautiful but very costly.
+Bill Simpson yes i would love to own this place if I had the money to do so
+Abandoned Steve (Historical - Urbex) I know that in the Winchester house, the woman built a door like that to confuse spirits haunting her. Who knows maybe it's haunted, cool to think about anyway.
+Abandoned Steve (Historical - Urbex) out of all the houses you have explored, which is your favorite?
I have lost count of how many abandoned videos I have watched, but this is my all time favorite! Other than the basement and the pile of stuffed animals, there was nothing creepy about this place. I want the kitchen and butler's pantry.

lola bunny it was a big basement. I wish my flashlight wasnt dying
That awesome old house has no right going to hell like that, crying shame.
It pisses me off to no end to see a gorgeous structure like this go to waste. Great camera work!
+Heru- deshet I agree and thank you so much
What apotentially gorgeous home! The tiles and the woodwork oh my word!
what a beautiful house this must have been in its heyday , and such a shame to see it slowly rotting away, hopefully somebody can claim it and bring it back to life somehow
What a gorgeous home. I hope so badly that someone will love it enough to fix it up.
Your photograph at 12:14 is amazing; such a powerful delivery of a meaningful message. It is awesome.
Abandoned Steve I love the interior of that house. I like the wood details on the walls and I like how the banister curls at the bottom of the stairs. I wish I could buy that house and restore it.

Thanks Angelina. The previous owner is going through a battle right now with the township and this house. That battle is what is killing this place!
WOW. WOW. WOW. This house is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!! And the outside stone structure that you said maybe was a barn!?!? Times like these I wish I was bloody filthy rich. I would buy this place. Fix it. And live there until I died!!!!!!
I have watched this one a couple of times now. Amazing camera work. I can see the love put into this one . thanx for taking me along on your visit.
PrairieDodgers Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it
Really fine property..love that staircase with the peeling paint! super video/still shots. Thanks for the tour!
Thanks my friend. Yes this house does not deserve to be like this
Such beautiful architectural detail and those hardwood floors are in excellent .condition.
I'm thinking it must be 1918 rather than 1818. The windows, doors, woodwork, hardware, piping, rads all look identical to a 1927 house I used to have.
Thanks for the video. Nice work.
I think i"m in love with this house! Shame about it's condition. :(
I think your videos are showing what the near future holds in store for lots of us
I'll take it!!!! What a beauty, you can see past all the decay as to how it was once a diamond!!! That barn structure would make such a wonderful secret garden!!!!!!!! Where is this house???

Beautiful home & gorgeous woodwork on inside.

Very well captured Steve. It just boggles the mind that there are places like this that are allowed to just sit and rot away.
AbandonedExplorationAdventure Thanks Ben and yep it crazy. we both see it all the time. Makes no sense
I have watched many house "Urban explorations" but this my fave I could see myself living there...if I win big on the lottery, it's mine !
+Brenda Mccullough Thank You. It is a wonderful house. Needs to be saved
+Abandoned Steve (Historical - Urbex) and I thought mine was old.. it was built in 1901.

Hey, Abandoned Steve, I have a couple of questions for you. You've probably been asked before but just in case you haven't I will ask them. lol
1.Have you ever run in to a homeless person while filming?
2.Do you normally do a quick run-through before filming to check for squatters?
3.Have you ever freaked yourself out so much while filming that you thought you saw paranormal activity?
4.What is the strangest thing you've ever witnessed while doing one of your explorations?

What a beautiful place. Love the ornate staircase. Lots of space. Appears the owners just up and left. Very sad.

Yes this is my favorite house
You have to wonder why...it was left with books on the shelves, things everywhere, like someone left in a hurry...
+Michael Bonne It was haunted.
What a beautiful old place I hope it is somehow saved! Great video thanks for sharing!

The kind of beautiful home you see in movies and it's just sit there rotting. 😢

What an amazing house! So sad that it has been left to rot away :(
I love old stone houses and barns like that, wonder how long it took to build back then.
+Tessa Smith Thank you Tessa
The "Bunker" in the basement is for storing potatoes, grains, and canning. Like an old fashioned refrigerator.
+Cynthia Kramer Thank you for sharing that!
Great exploring, thanks for sharing it
I love your video so much. I'm getting started in exploring old abandoned places. I would love to go to some of the places you've done.
I love that house $$$ nice video, SUUUUPERRRR VIDEOS, SALUDO AMIGO,???GRACIAS,
That is still a beautiful house. Would be nice to see someone come in and renovate back to original. The barn stone work is amazing. Thanks for the tour.
Gary Peterson yes i was super amazed in the stone work of the barn
Its a shame that these houses go into such disrepair most of them are utterly beautiful. With a little TLC imagine what they could look like.
Thanks for sharing! I wish someone would do something with it before it's lost! It's unique and all the fireplaces. Sad to see it waste away!
+Patti N Your welcome. A fireplace in almost every room is cool to see. Of course older homes like this one had that to keep any room warm
Another great video Steve. This is a beautiful home and still quite beautifl internally. I certainly hope it gets saved before it is too far gone. Thanks as always.
James Henry Thanks James
