    I have been researching facelifts, for two years. I have watched hundreds of surgeons' videos and consultations, in preparations for my own procedure. I have not contacted Dr Joe's office, yet, but have concluded that he is the most experienced and honest doctor, for the job. Very informative and has a passion for his art. Plus, the guys seems pretty cool.

    Thank you Dr Niamtu. I laid on my bed and took a photo of my face. lol, I look 10 years younger. I am having a SMAS facelift in Dec. I have done countless research, watching hundreds of TH-cam videos, viewed hundred of before and after pics and read countless material on pre and post op. But most importantly I found the right surgeon for me. Thank you for your content and you look fantastic yourself xx

I am 47 and think I will need one when I am older... no neck issue nor much loose skin nor buccal (in fact my buccal were naturally sunken before filler and I also have wide cheeks) but the baby jowls are out and nasolabial lines are annoying. @9:00 why don’t you remove some buccal fats during a facelift then, to help with the potential jowls? 💕

    Very informative video, Dr. Niamtu! Couple questions: what are effective ways to treat the “oval” area to fill out the area around the mouth? Do you ever put Botox in the corners of a drooping mouth? I’ve consulted with surgeons here in CT and they are weary of the “joker” smile as a result.

    • @jniamtuiii
      @jniamtuiii  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, we inject the lip corner depressor muscles several times a day. The effect is small, never seen a "joker' result. The central face is treated with eyelid surgery, cheek implants, laser and other procedures.

    Hi, I'm from Lynchburg and I enjoy seeing your videos. I ha e a question that I would like your advice on..I had face-lift and neck lift. It's 3 weeks now and I still have stitches in. I had my procedure performed out of the country. I'm not sure who should remove stitches. My primary care doctor or cosmetic surgeon. Does it make difference?. I have scabs over incisions now. Do I wait till they fall off or should I get stitches out regardless. Getting concerned now. Thanks

    • @jniamtuiii

    Dr. Niamtu, one of the MAIN issues I have been dealing with are fairly deep nasolabial folds. They are prominent on my face and they even descend past the corners of my mouth😢. Do you believe a deep plane facelift be the more appropriate type of facelift for me if I am trying to improve the way my face looks? I have been waiting for years now to have a facelift to correct them so I want to make sure I undergo the best procedure for that. Thank you in advance for your kind reply.

    • @jniamtuiii
      @jniamtuiii  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most facelifts will improve the NL folds to some extent. Lots of variables but it will not eliminate them. Patients with very deep folds may still need filler or fat injection. The NL folds are one of the hardest things to resolve.

  • @kathleengenieve3804
    @kathleengenieve3804 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So doctor you explained about the neck and the jawline but what do you do regarding the nasal folds and the corners of the mouth? Does one have to resort to facial injections because I don't care how much numbing cream you put on a person that must hurt like heck over and over again so many times per year I imagine it's done quarterly but maybe I'm wrong about that . Also do you do any microneedling that would encourage collagen to grow beneath the skin so that the quality of the skin itself looks more useful you can pull the muscles but sometimes the texture of the skin is like old upholstery there's only so much that can be done. Thank you (II hope you answer these questions) 🙄

    • @jniamtuiii
      @jniamtuiii  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We treat NL folds and marionette lines with laser and fillers. Microneedling does not do enough to manage significant drooping. Thanks for watching.

    I've been wanting a facelift for yeeeears, but I keep hesitating for 3 reasons:
    1) I don't want general anesthesia;
    2) I don't want any fillers that are not autologous, and;
    3) I want an undereye lift that:
    a) doesn't remove undereye fat, since part of my problem is that I have NO fat in my undereye area (all I have there is just a bit of lax, thin skin and dark circles), and I also
    b) don't want an undereye lift to pull the undereye and reveal sclera under the irises.
    I don't think I'm being unreasonable. Am I?

    Some questions pls ;
    1. Can one have upper eyelid surgery when one suffers with Glaucoma pls ?
    2. Does a full face lift including neck also includes eye lid surgery?
    3. Do you have patients from Europe, what happens about insurance? What would be required to get a face lift in yr clinic as regards documentation if patient lives in Europe?
    Thanks and regards,

    • @jniamtuiii
      @jniamtuiii  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We see international patients frequently except during this COVID crisis. We don't do any insurance. You can do eyelid surgery with Glaucoma if it is controlled and your opthalmologist clears you. Face and neck lift does not include eyelid surgery. Thanks for reaching out.

    Dr.Niamtu can you explain the purpose of tissue glue vs sutures in facelifts

    • @jniamtuiii
      @jniamtuiii  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tissue glue helps hold things stable, but doe not eliminate sutures. Unfortunately, we still use them. Someone needs to invent an alternative as Egyptians were using suture!
